Yes they are on all sides. This is a heavy duty tarp. We used it to cover hay for our cows outside to keep the rain off.

The tarp is top quality. I have no idea about clamps. Naybe someone uses clamps to fasten it down.

Why do they call this a 10×12 tarp if it is really only 9’4’x11’6′? I need a tarp that is a full 10×12. Are all tarps sized like this?
Currently all our tarps are sized like this. This is the industry standard. Most companies show the ‘cut size’ of the tarps. This is generally about 4 – 6% larger than the actual size of the finished tarp. The reason for this difference is that ‘cut size’ refers to the total area of the material used to make the tarp.

Does this get hot in the sun?
Hot is a pretty vague & relative term. However, i would guess it only gets warm to the touch. I live in az. White reflects light and doesn’t absorb it like dark colors. I tested vehicles in az for an automobile manufacturer for 29 years. In the dead of summer you could touch a white vehicle and not get burned. You could not touch a black or navy blue vehicle. Since this is vinyl i would guess it gets less warm (hot) than the sheet metal on a vehicle. The white color is part of the reason that i chose this tarp.

Why my tarp only lasted 6 months im already buying a replacement?nt
Impossible to know? Are you located in fl or minnesota? Sun will tear up a tarp easily. I use mine in florida and cn get only a year or so on it since the sun is so intense. Did you tie it down tight but have some air flow under it. I might also suggest a thicker tarp than the 10 mil that this one is.

I’m using this as a cover over an animal shelter i made on my porch – if the tarp is rained on – does it collect condensation??
Condensation occurs when warm air rises, cools and looses its capacity to hold water vapor, thus droplets are formed. With this in mind, if there is not adequate ventilation and air circulation (height tarp is placed) between the ground and ceiling, then yes, the animals and their feces could cause an excess of heat and thereby allowing condensation to form. However, this cover is sturdy enough to provide adequate shelter from the rain, works well in strong winds, and dries quickly if exposed to sunlight. I use this to protect plants during monsoon weather and it works so well, i now own 3 tarps. I highly recommend

Yes it has a brown side. If you turn the brown side out you would expose any stiching.

Will this cover a queen sized bed? I’ll be using it to protect my bed from potential dog pee when i’m at work.
Yes, plenty! Queen size beds are 60” x 80′ inches. The finished size of this tarp is 112′ x 138′ inches so this should be more then enough to cover and protect your queen size bed
Is this flammable?
I would guess it is since it’s made of some type of polymer. You can inspect it personally at a local big box orange retailer. They sell an identical tarp and is much less expensive.

It is water-proof as long as it isn’t torn or punctured.
