How is the star gazing?

I found them to be of no value and returned them to amazon for a full refund.

Would this be a good products for taking pictures of the moon?

Sure, you can connect your the binoculars to your phone, and then take wonderful pictures.

What is return policy?

This 12×50 professional hd binoculars should have an objective lens diameter of 50 mm: why does the description say it’s 22 mm?

I returned these as they didn’t represent the advertisement.

How are these for star gazing?

I found these to be sup-par. The diopter ring would not turn easily rendering these binoculars a total waste of money! I returned them for a full refund. They were junk!

How are these for stargazing?

This binoculars comes with a mobile phone clip, which can be used to adapt your mobile phone to the binoculars. Using the camera zoom function of the mobile phone combined with the zoom function of the binoculars, it can be used for primary stargazing

Are lens glass?

Yes,the binoculars are lens glass

Can you really receive a free tripod from the company?

If they are offering, they do.

Are our eyes just too far apart? We love the binoculars, but can’t get it to where it consistently appears as a single lens. What are we missing?

I have no problem and my eyes are quite far apart. Try adjusting the eyepieces for the left and right eyes. I had my all the way out.

Sure, please contact our customer and we will send you the replacement for free

If i understand your question it is approx. 1/2 inch.(distance from rubber eye piece to lens)

Does the phone adapter require an app? If so, will the app run without cellular data if i’m in the middle of nowhere?

The phone adapter needs no app to operate, as it just holds the phone’s camera up to the binocular eyepiece. As it rather unwieldy to do handheld photos, i recommend getting a binocular/tripod adapter to take good photos.

Cual es la distancia que abarca?

Son excelentes, la distancia es dependiendonque gusta ver… Pero si alcanzan unos 2 km

Are android phones compatible with this

It should be. But mine is iphone.

Are these compatible with iphone 13 pro max

I have an iphone 12 and they work perfectly. You may have to juggle the eye piece for the binoculars on your phone to see which one works. The company is very customer friendly and may be able to answer your question better.

Money well spent

Bought to replace stolen pair of pentax binoculars. Looks as if they were made in the same factory. We will use them for casual birding and watching nature in general. The images are very clear and crisp. The 50mm objective is perfect for low light times like sundown and sunsets. The moon is truly awesome through these. The adaptor for a cell phone is at best a gimmick, you must put the binoculars on a tripod to get the best results. Doing so is frustrating, the adaptor is just silly in my opinion. Still gets 5 stars as the binoculars themselves are top notch for the price we paid.

Not the largest field of view but very happy with the item

Not the widest field of view but a very nice set of binocular. Good views of the moon works well in low light conditions.

Crystal clear

Just received the 12×50 binoculars, easy to focus and seem well manufactured, calibrated…. These do not feel cheap at all. I purchased for dual purpose: better view of my little football player on the field but also for the raving reviews this pair received for nature and sky viewing. Objects are clear and magnified.
Of note, they are a little bigger than i imagined and are the same weight (kind of heavy) as my other more expensive binoculars, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just a consideration if you are looking for light weight and compact. They come with a nice case, phone attachment and easy instructions.

A good upgrade after 20+ years

I spent the weekend using the 12×50 gllysion binoculars i purchased last week as an alternative to a pair of nikon 10×50 stayfocus plus ii i’ve owned for 20+ years, and i have a couple observations.

The gllysions came with a sturdy nylon slightly-padded carrying case and neck strap, lens covers for both pairs, two tethers and a neck strap for the binoculars themselves, cleaning cloth, and a cell phone adapter to position a cell camera and take a picture through one lens tube.

The gllysions weigh just under 1lb 10oz, about 8 ounces lighter than the nikons. One thing i liked immediately was the overall profile, about 1/3 less than the nikons. Accordingly, supporting the gllysions is easier, and there’s really no serious tension involved to hold them steady.

The eyecups ‘pop out’ by rotating them, so viewing with or without eyeglasses is accommodated easily. I do both, depending. And there’s an attachment point for a tripod adapter.

As far as the image goes, i can only say i have no complaints. I’m not an optics expert and i’ve never dissected the performance of any optics i’ve had. As long as i can see what i need to i’m content. Today i could easily see the chipmunk running across the rock wall on the other side of our four acres. That’s got to be about a hundred yards or more away. I’ll also use these as a quick alternative to setting up a range scope for target practice at under a hundred yards. The image at every distance i looked at was crisp, and the colors accurate even under some low light conditions.

Last was the cell phone camera adapter. I was skeptical this was going to work, and when i set it up and watched the image on the cell screen moving around (i was holding it free hand) i was sure the picture would be blurred out. But it wasn’t! It took just two tries to get a focused picture at about a hundred feet. The other picture was just barely blurred, but perfectly usable. I’m sure if i was bird watching or something at long distances, i’d put it on a tripod.

So overall i like them. And at this price point i think they’re a good value.

Inconsistent optics, but customer service came through

I’ve had this for a couple of months and tried to fine tune the diopter since i thought there was some issues with left to right differences. Then recently after those frustrating months i tried looking with my left eye through the right side. I couldn’t believe it. The problem was that there is something wrong with the optical path on the left side. Some kind of misalignment. This indicates pretty poor quality control on this company. I have a pair of nikons that i use for other purposes and while they do not have as wide of an aperture as these, the quality is on another level altogether. Save yourself the trouble and some quality binoculars instead. I lost my window of opportunity to return these so i’m stuck with them.

Update oct 2022
the company reached out to me and offered to replace the first pair. I accepted the offer and a new pair was sent. This second pair worked like it should. Given their excellent support of this product, i have changed my review to 5 stars. It’s good to see a company stand by their products.

Great value and guarantee

We have several pairs of binoculars but have found these to be a superior value. We love the design as well as the guarantee.

Able to use at night.

These are by far the best i’ve ever had, even at night they pick up light that i can’t see with the naked eye.

Surprisingly good!!

The clarity of the glass was exceptional for the price. I could use them without a tripod. They were not as clear as i would have like for low light.

They did text me replying to my call to them and register me for the warranty.

I received the binoculars and they seem to be well made. There are no problems with the pair i received and everything is included.
Using the phone attachment to take wildlife photos is nice in theory but not practicable. My android phone with it’s case will not fit into the holder. After taking the case off and getting it attched to the binoculars properly (which takes about 5 minutes), it’s hard to hold the binoculars steady enough to focus and snap a photo. By that time, the wildlife has moved!

I saw no offers in any of the literature saying that you can get a free tripod — as other reviewers have said they got.

The biggest disappointment is that the company is located in china and the website provided to register for the ‘lifetime’ warranty does not exist. In fact, i found no website for gllysion at all. I tried calling the phone number provided (located in california) and no one answered. On the internet, i found a list of 29 world wide companies that manufacture binoculars and gllysion is not listed.

So, if you have a problem that happens after the 30 days when it can be returned to amazon, you are out of luck. ‘lifetime’ only applys for 30 days.

On the other hand, the reduced price seems to be a reasonable price for the quality of these binoculars and they work well for my purposes which is to just get better looks at wildlife around my property. So i plan on keeping them. I’m 80, so they will most likely last the rest of my ‘lifetime’

Sturdy binoculars with easy adjustments

I needed a pair of binoculars with a reasonable zoom. I have a few junk/freebie low zoom pairs and one good pair with a 12x zoom that’s a bit hard to keep steady without a rest. I settled on a 10×42 for ease of use but decent zoom while not being gigantic. This set checked those boxes and seemed reasonably priced for the features. I’m too clumsy for a super high end set.

They feel very sturdy in hand. I won’t try to drop them but i’d wager they’d be alright if i did. The adjustment knobs all work smoothly and the main focus knob is fairly larger than some of my other sets which makes them easier to dial in. I’ve only used it in daylight so far, but the picture all is crisp and easy to adjust. 10x is indeed much easier to keep steady.

It comes with all the accessories i would have bought anyway (case, lens caps, strap) as well as a phone mount which was nice. The phone adapter grips my big phone (pixel 6 pro), but its a little cumbersome to get it all configured and moves around a little bit with the weight of my big phone. I found my phone was hunting for focus when looking through the binoculars but that might just be a trait of my phone. For me its just a novelty as i doubt i’d use it much. I uploaded a set of pictures with and without the binocular using the phone mount.

-full accessory pack (case, lens caps, straps, phone adapter)
-large knob with smooth/easy adjustment
-crisp picture
-doesn’t break the bank
-phone mount is a little goofy to setup in a hurry (but it does hold the phone well)

Amazing for the prices

Loved the binoculars but wasn’t so keen on the phone adapter. It’s a little awkward and we’ll have to play with it a bit

This product worked ok,but wasn't what i wanted.

I returned this product and bought a different type, but not because it didn’t work. I ordered the one that fits my needs better and amazon gave me credit for it emediatly. This product works with your phone and wanted one that uses sd cards.

Good for the money

Wanted higher magnification pair. These have worked great. Use a name brand pair with them side by side with my wife these aren’t as sharp or as clear but damn close for the money i would buy agian

Well built binoculars for the price

Bought these to keep in our rv for bird watching as i have often forgotten my leopold bx-4s and only had some compacts with me. These are solid built binoculars with a smooth focus mechanism and glass with no obvious flaws. 4 stars only because they have a very short depth of field compared to other similar zoom binoculars and because the tripod adaptor is literally worthless. It’s mounted on the front of the barrel bridge so without an adaptor the only thing you could view is ants.

Thumbs up;

Ordered these to compare to the carson 10×50 i had ordered. The clarity of these gllysion and the carson are pretty much the same. The difference in power {12×50 vs10x50} is minimal and not a deciding factor. The reason i prefer these is the way they fit my eyes. I can bring these up and see without moving/shifting them a little to get a complete view. I don’t know how else to explain it. Maybe something to do with the size of the lens you look into. These are also a bit lighter and shorter than the carson’s, which again is not a deciding factor but just some information.

We love the binoculars but

We love the binoculars but the included neck strap broke eight out of the box while inspecting. If not for that, 5 out of 5 for our first binoculars.

I gave a bad review earlier for a bad adapter to mount phone to binoculars

The mount for taking pics with iphone you get a big circle in your pics. They send a new mount adapter for iphone which is better but i still get a big circle. It’s better but not what i expected. The binoculars seem good for viewing but if you want to take pics with your phone this is not the one you want. They did stand behind it and attempt to resolve my issue

Binoculars are great but soon attachment for phone isn’t perfect

All very good not using the phone holder to take a pic isn’t the best, photo isn’t clear when only looking thru 1 side of binoculars

4Expert Score
Good quality binoculars, but could use some small fixes.

They are a well constructed unit, with many adjustments for the user’s comfort, i really like that i can use these with or without my reading glasses! There are two small issues, first is the fact that a couple of these adjustments are too tight and difficult to adjust, the second issue is with taking pictures using their adapter on your phone, this is a cumbersome process and could be made less difficult!

Great budget pair

They feel rugged and durable and have a nice rubberized texture thats comfortable to hold, they’re easy to adjust to your eyes and easy to focus. The picture is clear and focuses pereceftly. They also provide plenty of magnificarion to be effecrive. The only downsides are they are hard to see through in low light enviroments and the lenses have a slight white tint to them, making the colors slightly more saturated in normal lighting. Overall its a good pair of binoculars that exceed the expectations of the price.
