The moon, craters, and shadows are cool. You can see saturn’s rings and jupiter’s moons. I’m waiting for a moonless night to see if i can see any of the brighter galaxies. If i can i’m done. If i can’t i’ll go up to less magnification and more light amplification to see those. This is a great telescope. It can see everything a novice can see with magnification. To see deep space you probably need the ultra wide telescopes with mirrors. Light collection is more important than magnification for deep space. I use google sky to find stuff to look at, sweep the telescope back and forth to find it, then adjust focus. Good luck out there.

We love this telescope! We recently moved to a highrise condo in downtown houston and wanted a better view of the horizon. We picked this one up and have thoroughly loved it! We’ve been identifying the buildings on the horizon, finding the football fields all over the city on friday nights and saturday afternoons. And we have loved checking out the moon. We were inspired to make the purchase after a lunar eclipse and are looking forward to another eclipse this coming week. We also plan to take the scope camping for more star gazing. I truly wholeheartedly recommend this telescope!

I bought this as a portable little scope to carry in the car to be able to pull out and quickly get good pictures of the moon. The optics are good for the price range and the tripod does what it needs to do in terms of quick deployment and easy adjustments. The included 6mm and 10mm lenses are good magnifications for the moon. I’m still working on getting the better images, but what i have so far aren’t too shabby. The phone adapter with the bluetooth shutter remote is very handy, especially if there’s some wind and the telescope is a bit bouncy. Just wait for the image to stabilize then snap a picture.

My only gripe is that with a cellphone hanging on the end of the scope – the tripod has a difficult time holding the imbalanced weight up if the scope is more towards the horizon (ie more horizontal). I plan on adding a small counterbalance on the end of the scope when the phone is on. Just a small weight with a hook on the end would work. I think this would be the quickest fix. Making the clamp more robust on the tripod or adding a secondary mount point to the telescope would be two other solutions.

I discovered that i can leave the spotting scope on and still get it packed into the included case. This way i don’t need to realign the spotting scope each time. Everything fits in the case if it’s properly packed.

Overall, this was a great telescope for the money.

This is a great telescope for its price and was easy to set up. The telescope provided me with a clear image of what i was looking at during the day. As for night use viewing the stars, i have not tried that yet. Best part of this telescope is that you can easily carry everything with you in its included bag and set it up nearly almost anywhere. The only thing i did not like is that the various lens should be housed in a protective case that will not allowe it to move loosely within the bag.

I got this for my 6 year old grandson as he had expressed an interest in having a telescope so this is a first time young user. We got it assembled easily and he was star gazing with amazement at what he could now see. What a learning experience, not only for him but the whole family is now studying the stars and all the wonder they now see. What a great way to get them excited and learning. I am sure this will be a favorite for many years! Ease of use is a huge plus. Worth every penny!

So much better than the beginner telescope i had when i was a kid. Download a night sky map and start seeing things you can’t see with the naked eye. The tripod is not the strongest so it is hard to keep the telescope perfectly still, but that is really the only negative i have and i really doubt any telescope at this price is going to have a better tripod.

My first time purchasing a telescope. I was always curious about the night time sky. This was easy to assemble without any tools.

Images look amazing when looking at the moon and nighttime sky . Definitely recommend this product.

This product was shipped quickly. The packaging was nice. Set up was easy and my kids love looking through the telescope at night. We are using this as another tool for our homeschooling which has been great!

There are others out there that are much more expensive that are much more in depth of course but for someone that is just wanting to look at the moon and stars at night, this is perfect

We have only used it once so far, for the price it’s great the kids love it and it’s not bad the only downfall is a few of the lenses don’t seem to work but we did get 3 of them. It might be something we’re doing wrong and will try to see if we can fix it. But it gets the job done and the kids get to learn about the stars.

This scope is great for beginners, like myself. It’s far easier to use than a reflective telescope (like a celestron power seeker 127eq), and images of the moon are crisp and very detailed. I was hoping to get a larger image of saturn and jupiter, but i was able to see saturn’s rings as well as jupiter’s moons (don’t expect huge images of both, though! They’re very small, but you can see them with this scope). I have yet to look for mars or venus, but because this scope is so lightweight and includes a carrying case, i’ll be bringing it camping later this summer.

Overall, this is an excellent scope for under 150. It was easy to use, contains everything you need, and doesn’t require collimating or polar aligning, etc. While you shouldn’t expect james webb type of sights, this scope is fantastic for kids and adults to gather outside and experience the night sky.

My main qualms would be the following:
•the finder scope was a little hard to align, but this could just be me.
•the tripod is a little on the short side. I have to kneel or bend over to view through it.
•the phone attachment didn’t hold my phone in place that well – i would have included images of what i’d seen otherwise. I have the iphone 13 pro max, though, so it’s heavy.

Product is great and works as advertised. Takes a little patience to get locked in on a target but definitely worth it!

Kids have been having a blat with this product. They love being able to see the stars and airplanes. They have been entertained for hours.

Great compact starter telescope kit. Nice powerful lense but tripod pad tilt control lock difficult to lock in place while trying to adjust telescope lense clarity on a star/object. Altogether great telescope .

The replacement is very much better. Originally, i gave this a one star review because it is designed to tilt up or down, but could not be stabilized in place. There is a knob to lock it at any angle, but, no matter how much you tighten it, the scope still moves at the slightest touch. I thought that i would like the scope, but it was impossible to try it since i couldn’t keep it focused on any target; it kept moving. After i contacted the sellers with my complaint, they sent a replacement that works much better. Although i was initially disappointed, i am very much impressed by the seller’s effort to rectify the situation.

Awesome telescope! So easy to set up. My family is really enjoying looking at the stars and moon!

Such a good product for the price! My daughter loves it and is so excited about her birthday present. It is lightweight and easy to assemble.

This is a great beginners telescope.

It’s a nice telescope. It’s a little complicated at first but the more you mess with it the easier it gets. We got it as a family gift. The ages of the kids are 7, 14 and 17. Between the teenagers and the parents they were able to figure how to put it together and star gaze.
