Ordered and received ice-maker in excellent condition. Chose the red one. Very nice color, goes well with ole time kitchen and sits on counter. Enjoy it greatly. Have an ice-maker in new frig but didn’t hook it up due to problems in the past with 2 refrigerator ice-makers. This one is extremely easy to use and the ice is soft. Just use the ‘small ice size’. Our daughter ordered the stainless steal colored one after tasting ours. She has an ice-maker on the outside of her frig and still got this item. She like the softness of the ice and size. Even her husband and her dad use it. They both never cared for ice either. You will enjoy it.

Hot california months mean you can never have enough ice. This creates 1.5 inch long bullet style ice which is easy to chew. Takes 10 to 12 min to create one round. We use it all the time and keep refilling with water by hand. It has a glitch that if it says it is out of water and you refill it you have to turn it on then off to reset. It does not automatically detect water and reset. But since we are constantly accessing the machine everyone keeps it running. Also when low on water it keeps pumping water even if it makes tiniest ice cubes, so makes me scared that it will break.

I wanted something to allow me to make ice quickly. I’m not a fan of the ice maker in the refrigerator as that ice absorbs odors. This was plug-and-play. It spit out the first ice cubes within 8 minutes. It will make ice until the hopper is full or until the water runs out. It recycles the water from melted ice back into frozen ice. It’s fairly quiet and easy to operate. It’s wonderful for kids, cocktail parties; injuries, etc. The ice is softer and chewable. The tray that catches the ice seems a little flimsy. I paid around $100 with some online coupons. I would buy this again.

This is one of the coolest things (pun intended) we have ever bought. Fill the water bucket and turn it on and in a few moments you have ice cubes! These cubes are dumped into the basket above the water bucket below. If you don’t use all the ice cubes, in time they will melt and drip back into the water bucket below. This in turn is water that can be made into future ice cubes. Someone is a genius here. We saw one of this ice makers at a resort we visited recently. Once we saw how it worked, we knew we wanted one and thanks to amazon we now have one. This is great for any anyone who wants a small ice machine for a bar or as a portable ice maker.

I have only had it for about two weeks. I like everything about it. The cubes are the right size to go through the dispenser on my refers broken ice maker, and it is surprisingly quick. The only thing to remember is there doesn’t seem to be anything to keep the ice, cold in the reservoir, other than the ice itself. So, if you do what i do and dump the ice into the refers ice reservoir, you need to stay on top of it. Unless you want large, bumpy ice cubes.

Some said the ice was thin and didn’t hold up, well the first 2 batches were , but as the water got colder the cubes got thicker. I now use refrigerated water to start and that solved the thin ice. They have held up quite nice. The machine pumped out 9 cubes every 7 mins . By the time the water was gone my my ice container in my freezer was about to over flow. I will never go back to ice trays . I am totally sold on this way of making ice.

This ice maker is exactly what we wanted.

It is a bit noisier than ideal but not enough to disrupt conversation or anything…just a bit weird when everything is quiet like in the evening.

On the ‘large’ setting the ice cubes are the perfect size. It produces ice quickly (approximately 10 min), and the max water capacity is almost a gallon so you are not constantly refilling it.

We absolutely love this thing. There are no complaints. We got it as a wedding gift but if i had to, i would definitely purchase this for myself or recommend to others for their registry.

I don’t have an ice maker in my fridge. This allows me to make ice and then store in my freezer. Since i’m on well water, i pour water through my brita into this ice maker. You need to put it in the freezer after the ice is made since it doesn’t keep it frozen for a long period of time. For me, it does the job!!

It wasnt even a year old when it stopped making ice. So i contacted seller . They wanted a vidoe of the problem,so i made one . I has a hard time uploading it. I asked customer service for help. They said they couldn’t help me . Now i am stuck with a broken ice maker . It’s sad because i loved it .

My husband and i fill up a 16 qt cooler for work everyday. Our ice machine at work broke so we ordered this. The first one we ordered didn’t work. We followed the directions and it didn’t make ice. We returned it and got a replacement 3 days later! We started making ice right away we had enough after a few days to fill up our coolers. As soon as the tray fills we dump them in a tub in the freezer and when that is full we fill bags that we kept from buying ice. You definitely have to keep up on it if you are wanting to fill a small cooler for your lunch this is perfect though and the ice is a little wet when you put it in freezer so you have to crunch it up when it really freezes up cause it all sticks together

It makes ice fast. It is quiet. That is what i like about it. But:
the ice basket sits over the water reservoir, so it is just at the freezing/thawing point of water. Because of that the ice tends to clumps. Not seriously, but it can be annoying.
It is not each to remove the ice from the basket without dropping it outside.
It is not easy to remove the ice basket without dropping some ice.
The amount of ice is enough for the large 32 ounce drink cups my wife likes, but leaves not much behind for another full cup. You don’t have to wait long for more ice, but does take time.
The ice basket must be remove to fill the reservoir. The max-fill line is not distinct.
I gave it four stars because it serves our purposes well, and the short comings are minor. The price was right.

Got this to use for ice rather than pay an outrageous price for an ice maker to replace the one in the refridge that quit working. I must say that this countertop unit works pretty well in place of the broken one in the refridge. It makes bullet cubes in two sizes. I usually make about a half batch (pour water half way up to fill line) and then empty it as it makes the cubes. This is not a freezer so if you make ice and do not empty it the ice will start melting.
Also the cubes melt in a drink pretty quick so don’t expect this to be like the ice in the refridge. It does what i wanted it to do and i am satisfied with it. I would recommend it.

I’ve had this countertop ice maker for about 3 mos now and it’s pretty awesome. My kids both take huge water bottles to school each day for band and sports and, with this machine, we’re never out. It’s also nice to have around for parties. Easy to use, makes fun-shaped ice cubes.

It does have two things that i found minor annoyances though- 1. It never fills the basket on its own. It seems a cube or two always gets stuck in the ice level sensor “eye”, so you have to walk by and take the scoop and rearrange. 2. When the water starts getting low, it starts putting out little chips. It works well though. I bag it in 1 gallon ziploc bags.

I like the ice maker. I love the shape, and ‘crunchiness’ of the ice. Exactly what i wanted. What i wish i had known (although i love it anyway) is that it’s not really a ‘freezer.’ once the ice is made, if you don’t use up the tray, the ice melts, and recycles to make another batch. (which makes sense. I just thought that it would keep the ice bucket full, and then keep it frozen till i was ready to use it. Instead, if you don’t use the ice that it makes immediately, it melts, and cycles again, over and over till you turn it off.) what i’ve been doing is turning it on when i get home from work, and use the ice during the evening, then turn it off. The noise doesn’t bother me at all. It’s also a nice sturdy machine. I would like the price point to be a teeny lower (or, would like a machine capable of making more ice at one time.)

I purchased this to have ice for tie dye. It has been the perfect addition to my small business.

Pros: produces ice fairly quickly, no hook up to water line required.
Cons: requires extra space for the compressor to run (there is a vent at the back to bring in air and a fan at the side that pulls out the hot air.)
it is a tad noisy and you have to stay on top of water level and emptying if you want to meet that 26lbs mark.

Overall i really like the ice machine. It makes ideal sized cubes for my liking, it’s quiet, and it works quickly. My biggest gripe is that the ice melts really fast. I hear it dump a fresh batch and by the time i go to replenish my beverage a bunch of the top layer has melted and formed a large half-melted conglomerate with the ice below and i have to hack at it with the little plastic shovel it comes with to get myself an adequate amount of ice. It also melts super fast in a drink… Faster than other ice cubes i’ve experienced. I dump a scoop into a room temp beverage and it’s gone within minutes. I’ve spent most of my life’s savings on fancy metal mugs that keep your drinks cold for eternity but sometimes i just want a regular plastic tumbler of water with some ice that stays ice for more than 2 minutes…

Felt kind of silly buying this for my husband for father’s day. But he loves ice in his drinks and we’ve got the samsung fridge ice maker so, if you know you know. :p the whole family loves this thing. Never had a problem with it but this week the little paddle that scoops the ice suddenly isn’t working anymore. It’s very weak, it starts to scoop and then can’t complete the motion. He’s looked into it but can’t see anything broken or how to fix, so we’ve ordered a new one. Should it have lasted more than 14 months? Yeah, probably.
But there’s a decent coupon savings right now, so when you average that cost over another 12 months would we pay about $7 a month to have ice again? Yeah. But hopefully this next one lasts longer!

Everything works great. The large and the small size are equally satisfying. My only criticism is that the ice is a little wet. If you take it out and put it into an alternate icebox in the freezer the cubes tend to stick together. They can be easily broken apart with a butter knife or an ice pick but it’s a little annoying. That’s the only reason for the four-star review.

I use this once per week to fill my ice bucket, i don’t have an auto ice maker in my refrigerator so this is great for smaller ice cubes and super simple and quiet!

Just received my ice maker the color is beautiful and i love small ice so for me i was not a waste of my money, thank you.
