I previously had a radio/alarm clock with battery backup where the battery backup stopped working. We have frequent power interruptions, so i wanted an alarm with battery backup. I don’t ever use the radio feature, so one with just alarm was sufficient. And i like having two alarm settings. This clock fit the bill at a reasonable price, and other reviews seemed good. I like that all the routinely used time and alarm controls are easily accessible on the top. Some other alarm clocks have these settings on the back, which is inconvenient. The clock and alarm times are easy to set, and controls are obvious and intuitive. The ‘dimmer’ button allows you to easily adjust the brightness of the display. When alarm 1 and/or 2 is set, little images appear on the left side of the screen showing they are on. Pressing the ‘alarm off’ button turns these off (press once if only one alarm is set, press again if both are set). To set the alarms, press the one you want to set (alarm 1 or alarm 2), and the display will start flashing. Use the hour and minute buttons to set. Once set, the time will continue to flash for a few seconds then hold at what you set. Or you can press the alarm button again or the ‘snooze/ok’ button to stop the flashing and register your setting. You can adjust the alarm volume with the volume +/- buttons on the left side of the clock. A tone is sounded each time you press so you can hear the volume. When the alarm goes off, pressing the snooze button will give you an extra 9 minutes until it goes off again. Or you can press the ‘alarm pause’ or ‘alarm off’ button. ‘alarm pause’ turns off the particular alarm (1 or 2) for 24 hours so it won’t beep again until the next day. ‘alarm off’ turns it off so it won’t beep again until you turn it back on. Once you set times for the alarm 1 and alarm 2, these times are retained each time you turn them off and back on, unless you change them. (this seems obvious, but i mention it only because one review i read seemed to indicate this might not be the case.) you can tell if alarm 1 and/or 2 is set to go off by whether the small icons on the left side of the screen are showing. If an alarm is off, just press the alarm 1 and/or 2 button to turn back on. The icon will then display on the screen.

There is a button on the right side of the clock to toggle modes between either 12 hour (am/pm) or 24 hour (e.g., military time). Also, if you hold this button in for about 3 seconds, it will add an hour to the current time and display a little ‘dst’ (daylight savings time) symbol on the right side of the face (i.e., ‘spring forward’). Pressing it again for about 3 seconds will subtract an hour and remove the dst symbol (i.e., ‘fall back’). This saves having to re-set the time twice a year. All very logical and intuitive.

One other thing to mention. Several unboxing videos by some reviewers seem to wonder what the two little black square pieces are that are packaged with the clock. I’m not sure why this seems confusing. These are obviously feet. They each have a little post on them, and there are a couple of holes in the back of the clock to insert them. These are easy to insert and fit snugly. They provide a little more width to the base to make the clock more stable, so it won’t tip over when you go to hit the snooze or alarm pause or off buttons.

The only slight negative observation i have is that the display can be a little glary and washed out in bright sunlight when viewed from across the room. Making the display brighter helps, but then it is too bright if you wake up and look at the time during the night. As a result, i tend to set the display brightness towards one of the middle settings. This is obviously a personal preference that will vary. All-in-all, this is a nice little alarm clock with big numbers that are easy to read without glasses at a very reasonable/inexpensive price.

For the price you get everything you really need to get up in the morning. It replaced probably a 25-year-old clock radio that also played cds. Finally decided it was time to retire it when it stopped working. I also bought it because it had backup battery. Today’s time’s you never know when your power will go off and you still need to get to work or another appointment.

I wanted a clock that i could easily read when i wake up at night, but that would not create distracting light. On its dimmest setting, it was still quite readable across the room in the dark, but i ended up making it one stop brighter so i could also see it during the day. It’s a good size for that placement, and as i’m not using it as an alarm, that’s fine. As a bedside alarm, while it’s not overly big, it might take up a bit of room depending on the space.

Importantly, this comes with a cord to plug into the all socket and usb receptacle on the clock–some models require that to be purchased separately.

I was looking for a clock i could read across the room. This clock is brilliant. Very easy to set the time. No worries about a loss of power as it has two (not supplied) batteries which save the info until power comes back on. I have no need for the other functions such as the alarm. But they appear to be very simple

After reading reviews on several led clocks, this looked like it would go well with my need for one that
• looked great, had a
• dimmer (to adjust for ambient lighting),
• did not distract from watching the tv just above it, had
• large, blue numbers (1 3/4 inches), and
• blended in with my tv stand.

This one hit all points.

I just needed a simple alarm clock, and this was perfect. Big numbers, easy to read. I particularly liked the buttons on the top to set time, set the 2 alarms(if you need 2 which i sometimes do) and each button is clearly marked. It’s not a puzzle of holding down some button for 4 seconds and then pushing some other button that is labeled as something else to change an hour or the alarm, etc. Each function has its on button and is clearly marked. A big thank you for that!!

Huge display numbers – super easy to read without my glasses – and dimmable but still clear. Easy to set time & alarm, with clear instruction sheet provided. Bright setting makes a great nightlight for entering the room, and simple to reduce once in bed. Perfect size & display for bedside or across the room.

I bought this for my son in law so he can get up to take grandchildren to school. This works. Loud and clear.

We really need the dimming feature on this clock. It is most helpful and helps with our sleep. Good job! We own a few properties and have them throughout our bedrooms.

The alarm clock came packaged well so there was no damage. It arrived fast as well. It’s a really good size. It has two alarm clock settings so you can have one alarm set for one time and a second alarm set for another time so you don’t constantly have to change the timing on the alarm ( if that makes sense) you can change the brightness by little button as well as the volume of the beeping. You do have to plug it in it doesn’t rely on batteries. It’s a good product it’s really bright it’s everything i really need and it’s a good price

The large digital display is very easy to read where ever you are in the room. Its very thin and takes up very little space. If you plan on using as a bedroom clock due to the size of the display even on the lowest brightness could be considered too bright for people that prefer to sleep in very dark rooms.

This alarm clock took me a little bit of time to figure out the controls in the dark… I.e. Turning alarm on and off in the morning after wake up, etc. A nuissance to start as it is fussy about some things, but now that i’m used to it, it is a piece of cake, great easy controls. The clock numbers are big and thus super bright… A little too bright for a bedroom for my liking, but am living with it just fine. If you need big #s, this is definitely a winner. I’m kind of wishing i got something with smaller #s because of the excessive brightness, but that is a personal preference. I think it is a good simple clock with easy to read #s and easy to use simple features.

I purchased this for my mother who is a senior that needs something easy to read and use. It has a large display and works very well. Had to remove 1 star only due to the fact even on it’s loudest setting, it’s not loud enough for her without her hearing aides on. I personally think it’s loud but her old one woke her up. U fortunately it broke and had to replace it. For the average person, this is loud enough!

Clock works as advertised, except that it is supposed to have a power loss alarm, which it does not.

Also, would like the display brightness to have auto dim (higher brightness during the day and lower at night). This was not an advertised feature, but should be.

I decided i needed a clock for hotels and chose this one. It works great and is easy to setup.

I wish the power cable could lock in place, or be more robust.

This item works well and was easy to set up. I didn’t buy this item to use as a charger but when i’ve tried to use the power port it didn’t work. I’d plug in and it didn’t push enough power to actually charge unfortunately.

Yes, it’s a clock. I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of room on my nightstand. Two minor complaints- it does not have auto light detection so it doesn’t change brightness during the day. If i dim it at night i can’t see it in daylight. Also, the passthrough charging is very low power. Takes a long time to charge an ipad.

I got the blue and i can see it clearly anytime of day and it doesn’t seem to be as harsh on my eyes as the red. The alarm is loud and i love that i can set two if my husband and i have to be up at different times. It charges my phone great as well.
