Longacre used his daughter wearing a native american chief’s feathered headdress as his model for lady liberty on the obverse of the one cent coin. The liberty nickel features lady liberty surrounded by 13 stars representing the original colonies. The buffalo nickel was designed using a composite of native american models for the obverse of the five cent coin.

Are the coins the same as the pics ….do you really have a 1917 buff nickel
I purchased 2 sets and received 2 – 1937 nickels in one set and a 1935 & 1937 in the other set so the answer to your question is maybe. Although i didn’t receive a 1917 nickel as in the pictures it says on the display that you will receive nickels from 1913 – 1938. Based on my purchase experience i would have to assume that the nickels will be dated closer to 1938 than 1913.

Is the word liberty also readable on the ribbon?
It will vary from set to set. The word liberty on ribbons is not guaranteed to be readable. All coins are circulated, dates are readable.
What is the size of the display?
The acrylic display case measures 4 3/8′ x 5 3/8’…..shows both sides of the coins.
Why do you have barely identifiable coins in these, just use slugs or replicants if your gonna send this stuff out.
