I have been meaning to write this review since that first shower but life and busy got in the way.

My hair started falling out when we moved to cincinnati a year and a half ago. It was alarming. Was it age? The moving stress? Was something wrong with me?? I mean, it was scary bad.

So i did some incognito searching on google ‘why is my hair falling out?!’ and the first thing that came up was hard water. I figured that was something i could cheaply and easily rule out, and i ordered this filter for the shower.

The difference was immediate and amazing! I honestly couldn’t believe filtering water could be such a big deal! Just remember to change that filter after when the time comes!

Recently my hair started falling out again. And i panicked again – who wouldn’t? But then my husband put the fresh filter in but when he did, voila! Hair is once again staying on my head where it belongs.

For those of you counting, i’d say the filter lasted us about 6 months before needing to be replaced. It’s in my calendar now, and we will always have an extra filter on hand.

Updated. After using this, i guess, if the science is right, it doesn’t actually soften water, but it really makes a shower more enjoyable. The water feels softer, and somehow i end up spending a lot longer in than before.

I actually started a return for this because i was looking for something to help with hard water problems, and this won’t do it.
So i did some googling and found that hard water is caused by calcium and magnesium in the water (i knew that) and the only way to get rid of those is a water softener which seems to be a whole house treatment thing. (i didn’t know that).
So, this gets rid of chlorine, which is good and they’ve added some other supposedly beneficial minerals, so i’m keeping it and will update the review after i use it for a while.
It was extremely easy to install.

I read a review that said something along the lines of “it made my hair so soft when i was ready to chop it all off”. I felt the same way, except i really didn’t want to cut my hair. I decided to try it and by the second time i showered i saw a difference. My mom bought one too and for her is taking a bit longer to see results, i’m guessing it depends how damaged/dry your hair is. Nevertheless i feel happy with my purchase and will buy again.

Was easy enough to install, leaked a tiny bit for a couple days, couldn’t figure out why. It was on tight enough. But it was fine, stopped a couple days later.
I try to take care of my long beard, and i figured part of that was getting rid of hard water in the shower. Definitely could tell a difference! Able to use less shampoo now, and my beard soaps up nicely anyway. Can use less conditioner now too. Beard feels soft and great at the end.
And hey also, same with head hair! Feels great and works the same with this water filter/shampoo/conditioner.
Finally, it’s nice to not get mineral build up all over the tiny holes on the shower head.

I like to leave good reviews and hate when i have to trash a product. This ‘filter’ really works. We are on a very good city water system, dayton ohio, which draws our water from an aquifer. The water tastes great, but about have the time if you try to smell the clorine you can, especially the hot water. I bought this and put it on my shower, even though i use hot water in the shower, i smell abosolutly no clorine. I was very sceptical because i did mechanical engineering for decades before i retired and just couldn’t grasp how they could filter anything out of the water because of the gpm, speed, of the water flushing through it, but it does. I installed it about six months ago and it is still preforming like it was brand new. It does what it says it does! I am baffeled by it but i love it!

Replacing our original aquabliss shower filter after eight years. Waterflow was still good but we’d never needed / remembered to changed the filter cartridge, and the water had started smelling right after we had the water softener unit replaced recently (it was 15+ years old). There was some green corrosion built up inside the unit, so we decided to replace the whole unit rather than the filter only. Installed this with a replacement water-pic handheld shower unit in less than five minutes with a pair of pliers and a washcloth.

I rarely write reviews, but this filter is just that effing amazing. I moved into a new house a few months ago and have had problems with itchy skin and breakouts ever since. Figured it was due to hard water and not a resurgence of puberty in my 40s. Installed this filter yesterday. Easy-peasy. Comes with everything you need. Instructions are super clear.

I swear, i never knew what cleanliness actually felt like until today!! No itchy skin! The soft hair is a bonus!

I’ve had closed comedonal acne for the past 7 months and had used multiple solutions to reduce it but nothing worked except this filter. The filter helped reduced the closed comedonal acne in just 5 days. I would definitely recommend this filter to my friends and family.

I noticed a change using this filter immediately with my hair not being so dry. Had my calendar marked to replace in a year and about 2 weeks prior noticed my skin tingling from being dry. Look forward to getting my replacement filter!

This is great, i was looking for something to put on our shower to help with our well water it’s high in iron and dryer out my skin. We got this until we can get a bigger system for the whole house. This works great! My hair feels so good and i don’t feel super dried out after a shower now.

This is my second one and i love it. I can tell the difference when using it because i am not as ashy when i get out of the shower and i really got it because my hair is thinning, so i wanted to reduce what was going into my hair.
My only issue is i had the first one for almost two years and it got cracks and leaks in it. I believe it was from the hard water we now have, but overall the product was not too expensive so it is not a major deal. I do try to change the filter every 4-6 months which i personally recommend depending on how much water is being used.
Overall i like it, and i wish they would make some options with the filters maybe to have more stages or the vitamin c infusion they used to have. I don’t see that any more.

Hard to tell if it makes a difference with my hair and skin, but where i live has really hard water so any little bit helps. Though, i can’t get it to stop leaking. I’ve taken it apart and ensured the gasket seals are in place – might need to order another one to see if i received a faulty one first go round.

It comes with extra rubber sealers and the sealer tape that you will need to add not only to your own pipes but for the filter itself – open the filter and add the tape to avoid the water leaking from the beginning. The rest works well. Always have received good benefits using filters in my shower heads, softer skin-psoriasis, softer hair and not dry as not using it.

My home’s hard water was making my skin much too dry. So far, it appears this product solved that problem.

I have used this earlier and there is some positive change in hair and skin. Want to use again and wait for better results.

Bought this because we have sulfur wter and it smells and makes our hair difficult to comb .
Applied this and am noticing that hair combing is easier.

When i first installed this, it was leaking all over the place but that was partly because i didn’t use enough plumber’s tape and i didn’t screw it in firmly enough for fear of breaking it. But i tried again and it works fine now. Yes, i am seeing improvement in my hair for sure. There is so much lime and calcium in the water here that i was getting hard, white skin on my scalp, but it’s going away thanks to this filter, and my hair feels much softer and less dry. Would recommend. Be sure to use both screen filters and attach it tightly.

Before use: my hair is very fine & i’m a guy so i couldn’t comment on that. But, my scalp has been itchy with pimples on it for as long as i can remember and i thought it was just me. I stumbled across this product and decided to try it. See the results at the end…
Installation: i’m a handyman but still followed the instructions carefully and used 2 layers of thread tape at each end. With a good hand tightening, there were no leaks.
Water tint: after installation, i did notice the water’s color had a tint to it but i figured it needed time to dissolve any protective coatings or preservatives in the filter. Sure enough, after a few minutes of hot water, it became much clearer. After the first week of use, i looked for it but there was no color tint at all.
To return? : i didn’t notice any change in the first week and was still picking at the little frustrating scalp pimples. So, i initiated a return for it. Being so busy, i didn’t get around to uninstalling it for a few weeks and forgot until today.
No return: after using it for a few weeks, i realized that i don’t have any of the scalp pimples now. And, i can’t remember having any recently. At some point, the filter slowly started working for me and i didn’t recognize it because it was a subtle change.
After: using it now for about a month and i’ve enjoyed not having the scalp problems that i’ve had for so many years. I’ve been using a cheaper brand of shampoo and still have great results. Not trying the more expensive shampoo & conditioners will pay for this filter in 2 months. I am a happy customer.
Advice to you:
– carefully inspect the product for damage as soon as you get it.
– pay attention to the direction that the filter goes in. Put a mark on it if needed.
– install it correctly with 2 wraps of thread tape.
– run hot water through after installation for a few minutes. This will speed up the water tint.
– before your first shower, make a shortlist of why you wanted to try the product.
– after 10 showers, start comparing against the list to see what has improved.
– after 20 showers, compare against the list again & decide to return the product or not.
– lastly, leave a quality review on here to benefit and help others.

I have used this product every day for a week. I didn’t notice any difference on my hair. I have a rats nest and nothing has helped. I do notice a slight difference on my skin. Hopefully the more i use it the more i will see a change.

I’ve used various shower filters on my showerhead to limit the effects of hard well water on my skin and hair. The aquabliss version was so well rated, i decided to give it a try, despite costing a bit more than some others. I found it was easy to install, but the dual screens (one on each end) were a little problematic for me.

I kept getting a leak on the end closest to the wall no matter how much plumber’s tape i used. When i removed the screen it leaked too, so i ended up taking the gasket from the previous filter (thicker than the one that came with the aquabliss filter and without a screen) and put it in instead. This gave me only one screen where the filter attaches to my handheld showerhead, but the leak was eliminated.

⌦ the problem i was having may be due to pressure caused by the handheld shower and not the aquabliss filter arrangement. I didn’t have a single showerhead available to me to test out that theory though. ⌫

the packaging and directions for this item are very good and it was nice to have spare internal gaskets and a screen sent too. The item is made of plastic, but it’s sturdy. The first shower after installing this filter was pleasant and i could tell the water was being softened. I never really get a scent from our well water, and i noticed no scent with water filtered by this shower filter. I also noted no restriction of water flow.

I would recommend this filter to anyone dealing with hard water or who wants to remove contaminants from their water used for showering. You will pay a little more than some others, but the quality seems to be there with this one and if it continues, replacement is recommended every six months.
