At last i can actually breathe (literally!!) a huge sigh of relief! We simply couldn’t be more delighted with this humidifier!

It definitely seems like the rest of the world was enlightened while i was kept in the dark about the fact that numb toes, chattering teeth and the flu are not necessarily the most perilous part of winter!

I recently moved to new york from florida. I was beyond excited to experience the 4 seasons, despite knowing that i might have to dig my way out of 2 ft of snow at times, and the dangers of blizzards and black ice.

However, what no one prepared me for was this dreadfull dryness that lasts half a year and makes me feel literally like half a human! I’m not kidding.

Seriously, how do people function? As soon as the cold set in i began waking up with a terrible thirst and dryness. My tongue felt like sandpaper against the roof of my mouth and my voice could barely croak in the morning. My nose was somehow wet and stuffed, yet dry and burning all at once! (blowing my nose just caused a nosebleed!) my eyelids literally pasted to my eyeballs and if by some miraculous chance, despite feeling like this, i did wake up feeling cheery enough to grin…. I daren’t allow the slightest smile to stretch across my lips lest they sprout half a dozen bloody cracks!! Ouch. And ewww. What the hell???!!!

But the worst was still waking up all cotton brained and headachy! Copious amounts of coffee didn’t do a darn thing to lift the fog so i could function! I was feeling so terrible i began thinking i was suffering from depression. I never felt so awful in my life!

Then my 3 year old came down with a really nasty cold that left a lingering dry cough lasting about a week after all the other symptoms were gone. Maddeningly persistent at night, it would simply disappear without a trace in the morning. It was really hard to watch her suffer so much! She’d wake herself up as her whole body wracked with these coughs! I was seriously at the brink of my sanity!!! Every night i’d swear that i’d be at the doctors office first thing in the morning and every morning she woke up “all better” so no need! After one nightly coughing attack caused her to vomit i got my fat a$ to the pediatrician because by then i was really alarmed.

Doctor was cool as a cucumber “welcome to winter and i’m willing to bet you guys have central heat at home…” well, i sure do! It was the best perk of our new apartment not having to worry about the kids touching radiators! Who knew it only aggravated this winter dry air situation?! Who knew there was a winter dry air situation?! Not me! That’s for sure!

He suggested getting a humidifier and i was sure i heard wrong! I use a de-humidifier so that my clothes could dry faster than it could start smelling of mold if i hung it to dry indoors!

We got a decent humidifier actually that we thought was effective and we were happy with (even though it leaked! I thought that was just part of it!)……until it broke after a few weeks and the company refused to send us a new onel! After being stiffed once, i did some research and settled on the aquaoasis. Had some awesome reviews, looked sleek and strong, and loved that it has a built in self filtering feature. (and boy, it even passed my husband’s curiosity test. Happens to be an electrician and has this thing with electronics!

Anyway, the price was well worth it and this operates in virtual silence! I literally need to put my ear to the machine to hear a soft low hum… Nothing like the grating ruckus of my previous one!

Been using this for a few weeks and simply couldn’t be happier! I feel sooo much better! My daughters cough is totally gone and i wake up feeling well rested, invigorated and alive! Headaches are gone, my eyeballs aren’t in a “sticky relationship” with my eyelids anymore and i’m not scared my lips’ll “pop” if i laugh by mistake!! I feel so exhilarated, so alive…so, well…humidified!! It sounds cliché but it’s true!!!!!! Best investment ever!

….and…. I saved the best part for last here …. Do you know what the freak’n hell i discovered folks??! My psoriasis and eczema improved so dramatically that i came right back here to buy one for my mom who suffers from eczema too! I tell you these humidifiers are the beast!

Anyway, will keep you posted if anything changes but so far so good! I just wish all of life’s problems were so easily and neatly fixable!

Been using this for 6 weeks now. Put it right to use the day it was received. No problems at all. This unit will run for about 12 hrs for me. Once when humidity was a little higher than usual it did run for 22 hours, but usually only for 12 hrs. I use this unit for a bedroom mainly at night. My 6l unit i use in the main part of the house during the day through to the next day.

You do need to know a little something about how to clean these units properly. Imo mild soap and water will not properly clean an ultrasonic humidifier. I have a 6l ultrasonic humidifier that i’ve been using for several years now with no issues. No mold or mildew. The following is my cleaning routine that i do each week on both my humidifiers. No need to do more often than once per week.
First: never let it sit while turned off with water sitting in it. If you are not going to run it then drain the water and dry out the mist tube with a twisted paper towel and let it sit open to dry. I also usually rinse the reservoir and then let it sit to dry.
Second: my 6l unit came with specific cleaning instructions to fill the reservoir half full of water, about 3l, and add 1 tbsp of distilled vinegar. Slosh that around for 15 seconds and then place the reservoir on the base and let it sit for 15 minutes. After that time then i use an old toothbrush and q-tip to remove the loosened scale everywhere i can reach with those tools and rinse the unit. Do not in any way allow water to get into the air vent. For this aquaoasis unit, since it is 2.2l i put 1l of water in the reservoir with 1 tsp of distilled vinegar and do the same with this unit as my bigger one.
Third: in my 6l unit i put in 3l water with 1/2 tbsp regular bleach and do the same sloshing around and then setting on the base for the same time as above. For this aquaoasis unit i put in 1l water and 1/2 tsp of bleach and slosh around and then let it sit on the base for 15 minutes. Then for both units i rinse away the bleach.
Forth: i fill each reservoir as needed and set the reservoir on the bases and turn the units on.

Every day (per instructions with my 6l unit) i drain any water remaining in the tanks and refill with fresh water before turning back on. I also use a twisted paper towel to dry the mist tube. There was a review about minerals in the water being broken down into very small particles. I do clean both humidifiers with tap water. But i don’t operate them with tap water. Instead i use filtered water from my refridgerator filtered water source. My refridgerator has a filter that removes most minerals, especially lead and magnesium and mercury and several others. Both my humidifiers have been keeping very clean doing this entire process. Have never had anything build up within the tanks. I can reach inside my 6l tank with my hand and a paper towel but have never ended up with any deposit of any kind cleaning these as i outlined. At the end of the dry season, as outside temps warm up and become more humid, i’ll go through the cleaning and then instead of refilling with filtered water i’ll let them air dry for a few days before i put them away until next season.

Overall i am very pleased with this humidifier and expect many years of using it.

It took me a little while to understand how to set up because they had a set up guide that did not match the actual product. When i finally figured it out, it worked well! Very quiet and i love that you can control how much comes out at a time. I used it while i was congested and it helped a lot! I’m really grateful for this humidifier

My apartment gets so dry that my throat hurts. This is saving me! I run it all night while i sleep, and my sore throat is gone. It’s super easy to use and extremely quiet. I learned i need to keep it off the floor though so the carpet doesn’t get wet. Also, my houseplants love it!

This was a lovely gift from my daughter who knows i struggle with throat issues often from living in a dry climate. This humidifier makes all the difference! It’s smaller than most which makes it very convenient. It is also easy to clean. The noise level is very low so you barely know it’s on. Having this in my bedroom at night adds to my quality of daytime hours where i speak for a living. I would reccomend this particular product to any one in the market for a quality and affordable humidifier.

This humidifier works better than any other one i have bought throughout the years. I highly recommend it. The amount of mist is perfect and it also doubles as a mini personal air conditioner unit that cools a small spot in the room.

Works great, have noticed that a small puddle of mist forms on the floor or area it sits at. Make sure you have a towel or something near the bottom of where it is to catch the water build up. So easy to use and clean!

It’s quite quiet. I use it for my cat that needs moisture in his nose and it is perfect. It prefers boiled or distilled water which isn’t a problem because i just fill my teapot all the way when i make coffee and let it cool.

Nice quiet little unit, great for night time near bed side operation.
Hope the tank will not need cleaning as there is little chance of getting it there to clean it. Other part of the unit is easy to clean but not the tank itself.

First purchased when the family had was sick. We noticed how the air feels better and kept allergies at bay. So awesome, may aunt came over and noticed the difference. We purchased one for her the same day. Reasonable price for the quality. Would definitely purchase another one.

We purchased this cool air humidifier may 2022, so 3ish months later, my husband and i both have a morning cough we just can’t shake. I have tried to clean this humidifier several times but there is no way to get inside the tank. I would clean with distilled vinegar and refill with water. So this evening i was cleaning and noticed a funky smell and when i lifted the tank off the motor, it was black and green mold everywhere on it. I used a toothbrush and scrubbed the base but couldn’t get anything down in the water tank. I couldn’t get to all the mold even with a toothbrush so i tossed the whole thing. Now let’s see if our cough goes away.

The only reason i don’t give this 5 stars is because you can’t adjust the stream up or down, you can only point it in whatever direction you want but it always has to go up at that same angle.

Otherwise this is a great product and works as advertised.

After having it on mostly and refilling it once empty, i noticed the humidifier started to make little bubbling or gurgling noises after it sucked in more water to produce the mist from the top. Is that normal? It said it was quiet so i get a bit startled when it replenished when it sucked up more water. It’s a bit annoying when i’m sleeping, but i’ll eventually get used to it.

This humidifier is very powerful. If you leave it running for more than 12 hours, be prepared to fill it up again. That being said, it works! It works almost too good. I think needing to fill it up so quickly is kind of a draw back — almost too much humidity. However, i like it and i’m glad it provides lots of humidity.

I was hoping this humidifier would last long but not, it does has a bit noise but overall its pretty good steam coming out

This is a great unit. Easy to use and very quiet. It pushes out a lot of water even on low. There are a couple hard to clean spots. It would be easier to fill if it was a top fill or was somewhat flat on top. Overall a good humidifier

It’s a bit underwhelming. From all the rave reviews, i expected it to be mind blowing but ummmm, is ok.

It works well, is reliable and doors what it says. Do not use essential oils with this one.

The product works good it is a little messy whenever you fill it up and the cleanup is sometimes a little messy as well the overall build quality is ok but could use a little bit of improvement the functionality of the machine is what you would expect and the control level knob works great once you figure out the amount that you want/need to come out it usually last majority of the night puts out plenty of vapor to humidity the room helped my daughter out tremendously.

It seems to not have a control on how much comes out. On the lowest setting my son’s room filled with a fog and off the smoke alarm.

The item is nice and it works really well. The only problem i have with it is that it’s not quiet like advertised. The humming is pretty loud.
