Where would you put a cold pack to keep food cold?
You’d want to put the ice pack, this bento box, a small snack, & a juice box or milk box into a lunch bag. I have an llbean lunch box that measures 91⁄2’h x 7’w x 33⁄4’d.

Does it fit in the skip hop lunch bag?
I believe it should. It fits in the pottery barn lunch box & its 7.5 x 3.5 x 8.5. The dimensions for the skip hop bag i looked up (llama) is 7.5 x 3.25 x 9.
Qhat do you do if you have one meal that need heat? And the rest is cold?
Use a different container or have the food wrapped where it can be removed to be heated.
I love the idea of these lunch boxes but where do you put a drink at? (capri sun, juice box)
I put the bentgo box inside of a soft lunch box that has a handle. Drinks and other items fit around and on top of the bentgo bix.
Do these fit into llbean lunchbox?
Yes. I can fit a flat ice pack, these bento boxes, a chocolate milk box (hershey – they’re probably 2”x2”), & i also get some snack in next to the milk. We have the flat lunch box that measures 91⁄2’h x 7’w x 33⁄4’d.
Do people typically put the box into another lunch bag or use it on its own?
You could do both. I put them into an insulated lunch bag with ice packs because i pack perishable food. If you pack stuff that didn’t need to be refrigerated you could just take it on its own.
Does this fit in pottery barn classic (square) lunch boxes? Thank you
No, unfortunately it doesn’t…we have the insulated square pottery barn lunch box and the shape of the bento box is rectangular and just about an inch too big. I ended up buying the whole foods insulated back that you freeze overnight and it is perfectly sized for that. Good luck!
Had 2 of these last year, and on both the catches for the latches broke within 2 months. Has this issue been fixed/updated? Favorite box otherwise.
I had a fairly new one that broke and contacted bentgo’s customer service. Not only did they replace the entire lunchbox, they gave me an additional one for leaving a review of my experience of their product and customer service. I also have an older bentgo lunchbox we have been using for 3 years now with no problems.
Cover is there a plastic liner to keep food from touching top of lid?
What you see in the picture is the lid. It touches the food in order to allow the rubber leak resistance seals to work.
Is it insulated?
No insulation. It is a thick plastic. I place it in an insulated lunchbox.

Does it have a lid over the dressing spot? So when you pick it up, dressing doesn’t get all over the place ?
It doesn’t come with an individual lid. The top lid of the lunch box has the whole leak proof rubbery system that allows you to pack liquids on or with food and won’t spill.
You need a spoon to scoop dressings, syrups or spread out of the round space.
A tip, you can use a small medicine cup to put your dressing on the round space of the lunch box and then pull it out to pour on your food.
Do not overflow the spaces on the lunch box and make sure it closes tightly.
We have use it on the go in the car and so far nothing has spilled or run onto the other spaces of the box.

The rubber develop mold. I clean it everyday but cannot get rid of it. Any ideas?
I’ve soaked them in vinegar occasionally and none of ours have developed mold

It can be used for life if it is maintained properly
