Bio-Oil Skincare Oil, Body Oil for Scars and Stretchmarks, Dermatologist Recommended

I bought this on a whim and i am never going back to expensive products that promise better skin! I read the reviews and figured it wasn’t much of a risk at this price point. I have purchased so many products for my face and spent a lot of money.
I never could have guessed that the product that made a difference would be so affordable.
The smell is subtle and clean. The oil absorbs into my skin and gives it a nice glow. My skin tone is improving and the scar on my forehead is fading.
You will not be disappointed!

Recently, my facial skin has become extremely dry, gets very red and irritated. I’ve tried a million different products. Tried this on a whim, and love it. Not only is it light enough for the face (whole moisturizing and not breaking out), it gives such a healthy sheeny, glow to the skin. Has a light scent, nothing great, nothing off-putting. Originally purchased small 2 oz bottle just to try….i am 2 weeks i. And i’ve it so much, purchased large bottle for allover use.

My partner uses bio oil for emergency moisturising, which she swears by. Recently she has also had great results using it intensively to help avoid long-term damage after some inept work by a tattoo artist left a small patch of skin in a sorry state. Intensive application on the affected area seems to have hastened healing and helped prevented scarring.

Note, a bottle this size is better value than the smaller ones available, but it will last for literally years, even if used frequently. For convenience and transportability you may prefer a smaller one.

This stuff is liquid gold! My face has been covered in dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and blemishes for my entire life. I’ve been using this stuff for less than a month and already the compliments are flowing in. If i had known it really was gonna work i would have done before and after pics. It smells great, feels great, and a small amount goes a long way. I tell everyone i know about this stuff! This has become a staple in my house! Best money i ever spent on self care!

I was involved in a drone accident in june, got sliced up on the face pretty bad, and have been using this oil twice a day since after the scars had healed, and i have to be honest, only in certain angles can you see the worst of the scar anymore, and it was a hideously purple very visible line when the scar tissue started forming. A+ for biol-oil!

So, the first time i purchased bio oil i wasn’t sure if it was going to work on my sensitive skin, it was amazing, so i finished the first bottle and this is my second. It completely got rid of a recent burnt scar, old scars take a while, slowly but surely it gets rid of dark uneven skin. And i also so an improvement on stretch marks.

I am not exaggerating when i say i use it every day. Every post-shower and every night before bed. It helps with acne scars, stretch marks, mosquito bites and scabs… It’s a miracle oil. If i could take a bath in this, i would.

It is very moisturizing and smells great but i have started to use it on my body instead of my face. I see more results on my body than i did when applying it to my face. My skin is definitely more glowy

I’m currently 37w3d pregnant and have used this 2-3x daily along with cocoa butter and do not have a single stretch mark. I know people say stretch marks are hereditary so take that into consideration as well. I’ve used this stuff religiously and love the scent and how moisturized my skin feels all day long.

This stuff is amazing! A little goes a long way and the smell is light but very pleasant. It’s not too greasy at all either. I like to use this as a moisturizer for my cuticles around my fingertips.

Great for my dry feet!

I used this for about one month. I can’t say that it’s drastically changed my skin but it’s a very. Ice oil that i use at night. It feels really good on.

I know it has only been a month and there isn’t that much of a difference, but i do see my stretch mark kind of fading away. The oil is very moisturizing but not too greasy which i very much like.

Stretch marks are generic for me. To prevent them are used bio oil, gel from bio oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil and try to stay hydrated. It seem to work for the first eight months. After my baby dropped at 35 weeks and all of her weight went to my pelvis overnight(literally), the stretch marks came overnight and i couldn’t prevent them. But now they are getting lighter it seems, 4 weeks later. I plan to get laser done but bio oil is pretty decent until then.

The product is great however the person that deliver the product left it at the wrong apartment number. It even said the apartment number on the package.

First time using bio oil. Bought the biggest bottle, as i’m planning to use it throughout my pregnancy.

Seal or no seal: there is no seal. There are so many conflicting info in the reviews and the q&as. So i actually went to the local drug store and got one to compare. Same thing, no seal. The one i got from the store is the smallest size.

Maybe years ago it came with a seal? I don’t know. All i know is that the current version doesn’t. So please stop calling it a fake because of that.

Pros:
i developed dry/red/flaky skin around my mouth since pregnancy. I tried lotions, serums and oil based essence but none of them last more than a couple of hours before the skin becomes dry and flaky again. I tried this bio oil around my mouth, it actually would keep the area moisturized very long. I do wash my mouth after meals and re-apply, so i don’t know whether it’d last a whole day, but it has been dramatically longer lasting than my other products. The redness is also reducing overtime. Not completely gone yet, but previous the redness was surrounding my mouth area, now it’s only at the corner of the mouth and above, nothing on the chin any more.

My husband is also using it on his knuckles on one hand that’s itchy. It seems to be helpful for his skin condition too. We don’t know exactly what that is, the doctor just asked him to put anti-itchy cream which isn’t very helpful. This oil does help so he’s been using it.

Cons:
gosh for me, it has to be the smell. I honestly thought it was a fake product when i first tried it because i really don’t like the smell! Some reviewers said they love the smell or it comes with a pleasant smell, no it doesn’t! That’s another reason for me to get one from the drug store to compare. It turns out that’s just how this thing smells. It has a a pretty strong oil smell that reminds me of industrial oil products. It doesn’t come with the any flowery or pleasant smell, not even like the basic no-smell oils, but actually something i dislike. So be forewarned. If you put a little on your palm, the smell isn’t strong, but if you rub it in, like on your tummy or on your face, holding your breath for a few seconds won’t do it. Since i do use it around my mouth, i even tried to mix it with my other non oil based serums to cover its smell a little, which helps but it also reduces its moisturizing effect. Since it’s the only product that works with the dry skin around my mouth, i’m biting the bullet. The smell doesn’t linger for long, so that was helpful.

If you are not sure about the smell, get a small bottle to try it out. At least for me, the benefits out win the smell issue for me.

Funny that i’m not mentioning any stretch mark effect as pros or cons. I actually have developed some stretch marks on my lower back and my butt cheeks before using this product since the pregnancy, not on tummy yet. I don’t expect the product to get rid of the existing stretch marks or at least not in a short period of time. Maybe in a few months it’d get better over, and more important to me is for prevention of new stretch marks.
