I bought this product because someone on youtube said that she had been using it for six years for eyelash growth, and she did indeed have exceptionally long and beautiful eyelashes. (she has written her own review, and as of my writing this, it is the top review here).

I knew going in that this would be a long-term project and i would have to be patient to see results, so i wasn’t discouraged when i wasn’t noticing any difference after one month.

I should mention at this point that i was not only using the castor oil on my eyelashes, but also on my eyebrows, as well as around my hairline (especially at my temples). For my eyelashes, i put one good-sized drop on my fingertip, press my other fingertip to it, so that i have half a drop per hand, and then massage it into the roots of my top and bottom lashes. Then i apply another drop to my finger, redistribute it as before, and massage it into the roots of my eyebrows. I do this before bed, because it does make your eyes feel sticky and weird.

For my hair, i follow this procedure on nights before i’m going to wash my hair the next morning, which for me is twice a week: i put about two half dropperfuls of castor oil in the palm of one hand, add 14-16 drops of rosemary essential oil (which has been shown to be as effective as rogaine for hairloss, with none of the side effects, and at a fraction of the cost), and mix them together with a fingertip. Then i use that fingertip to rub it in all around my hairline, going farthest back at my temples where the hair is thinnest.

Now i’ll tell you my results. I’ve been doing this for 110 days, not missing a single night for the eyelashes and eyebrows, and doing it consistently before every washing for my hair. The difference that i noticed first was in my eyebrows. They began to fill in and darken up at around the two-month mark. By three months, it was very clear that they were much more defined and full and healthy than before i started. I don’t pluck my eyebrows, so i think their thinning and lightening was due to a family history of hypothyroidism, plus just getting older (i’m 38). At around this time i noticed an undeniable difference in my eyelashes too, but it was subtle. Now it’s been nearly four months, and my eyelashes are definitely both longer and fuller. This, for me, hasn’t been as noticeable as the change to my eyebrows, because my eyelashes are very light-colored at the tips. But i caught a view of them from the side in direct sunlight a few days ago, and i was shocked! They are much longer than ever before. I don’t like to wear mascara (because it irritates my eyes) but now i’m tempted to try again, just to let the world appreciate how long my eyelashes are! I feel like a beautiful camel!

As for my hair, i’m not really sure what’s going on there. I wanted something to help my hair grow, because the hairs around my face are always much shorter and wispier than the rest of my hair (and not in a cute, ‘baby hairs’ kind of way, but in a way that makes me look haggard and unkempt, because of how they stick out and make me look like a mad scientist). These wisps seem to have gotten a bit longer, which is good, but they’re still much too short to match the rest of my hair, or stay contained by any hairdo, so for now i’m left looking even rougher than before. I’m going to keep doing what i’m doing, and hope that what i’m seeing is progress, and eventually the wisps will catch up to my other hair.

Amazing! I have (had) a bald spot on the top front of my head. Being doubtful if anything could change this i applied the castor oil just on the spot…just in case iwas wrong. Same a couple days later, and a couple after that. The 4th time getting ready is when i felt the baby hairs completely covering my bald spot!!. I was totally amazed. I mean my bald spot was shiny and hadn’t seen hair in years! So i decided to try more areas that are very thin. It doesn’t seem to be doing much in the thinning areas but i’m not giving up. I’m only apply a couple times a week and leaving it on all night. Surprisingly most of it is absorbed…into the hair??? The scalp??? It’s not absorbing into my head wrap much so who knows. Maybe my scalp wasn’t healthy enough to grow hair
so my scalp soaks it in. Hopefully i’ll soon see more baby hairs. If not i’m just as happy hair fully covering my crown grab the small bottle and give this a try! That’s what i did and i’m ready for the big bottle now.

baby hairs in all my thinning areas which mean pretty much all over my head! My hairline on my neck receeded at least 10 years ago. I used to wear a ponytail but had to stop. What pony looks good with only 2/3 of a head of hair back there?? Well i’m happy to say my hairline is now where it should be and as soon as it gets longer my pony and updos are coming back!

There something interesting i noticed with my scalp on the top of my head. After my hair started filling in, i was massaging the oil inti my scalp. Sometimes i use my nails to scratch the surface thinking it helps magically open my pours for better absorption. As i was doing this i started noticing tiny hard bits being uprooted…not a lot but enough to possibly suggest my pours maybe were clogged? I live on the beach and with this thinning hair on top my head stayed burned/tan…if my scalp wasn’t getting exfoliated properly….hmmmm…just thinking????? I guess i’m saying if you find this isn’t working, well, try using your nails to scratch the surface. Who knows…maybe i’m a fluke but it’d be awesome if anyone else has shared this beautiful phenomenon

I still apply every 3rd or 4th day and every weekend i leave it in until my next hairwash and another treatment at night. If it hadn’t changed my life i would be doubtful.

Please don’t give up! Try it different ways…maybe heat? Shower cap? I use a terry head wrap from here. Plain head wrap with velcro ends. Good luck and hope everyone has great results!!

Castor oil from kate blanc cosmetics: is a hydrophobic oil (dense, thick) with a well-known reputation for moisturizing and some medicinal qualities, and when applied topically it moisturizes my hair and nail cuticles. Over the long run, i plan to test the widely held belief it helps thicken hair (head, eyebrows). I’ll keep you posted.

I have used this product now for about 2 weeks and have noticed my lashes and eyebrows seem healthier. I have very light eyelashes so very hard to tell about growth until i put my mascara on at the two week point and i did a double take in the mirror! They look longer! I put this on at bedtime after my night time routine. Love that it comes with the applicator that helps. It is thick but not so thick you can’t spread it. Just be gentle as always around the eye area. Will definitely purchase again!

I had been looking for something for hair growth or just a weekly hair oil for a while and it’s amazing but honestly that’s not what got to write this review. I started putting a drop or two in my hand along with my face moisturizer and it’s done wonders for my skin. I have oily skin and never considered putting an oil on my face but i haven’t broken out, it’s helped even my skin texture and my skin is practically flawless after using it for less than a week. Definitely recommend this for anyone who’s still on the fence.

Not sure if it works yet i’m just starting to use it. My hair is gotten very thin on the top whether it’s age, stress, whore moans i don’t know but it makes me very self-conscious found this recipe with it cast or oil and then like a coconut oil and a few drops of lavender essential oil rub it into your hair, and leave it overnight. You definitely need to wash your hair twice when it’s coming out or it’s gonna not come out all the way. But i’ll be sure and let you know if it starts working

I was using castor oil a few years ago based on the advice of a friend of mine that is of west indian descent.
It absolutely worked back then, but i’m not quite sure why i stopped.
Fast-forward 20 years, i’m 50 now and my eyebrows are getting thinner and my eyelashes are getting sparser.
I actually splurged on revitalash products, and yes those are amazing and they do the job, but this castor oil works just as great for literally 1/8 of the price!
I actually think the castor oil has faster results.

So, you can use the revitalash day and night.

The castor oil is very thick and oily.
You absolutely would not be able to use this during the day unless you’ve planned on staying home all day.
The kit that i bought came with a mascara-type wand, a liner-type wand, and the dropper that comes with the bottle.
I used the mascara wand for my eyebrows.

I tried using the mascara wand for my eyelashes but it was way too thick.
Then i tried to use the liner wand on my eyelash roots, but it didn’t really feel like i was getting good coverage.

So, in the end, i put one drop of castor oil on my fingertip and rubbed it all into my eyelashes, eyelids, and under i because i have definitely heard that castor oil is amazing for under eye wrinkles!
I’m 50! You know i’m gonna try anything and everything at this point, lol!
In the end, not disappointed!

In my opinion it made my lashes and brows thicker and stronger after two weeks of use every other day! The bottle will definitely last a while since you don’t have to use much for each use! Doesn’t have a strong smell of anything to me, the constancy is very thick though and it might take a while for your hairs to get used to it. Love it tho 🙂

I’ve been using this religiously for about 2 months! Without mascara, i don’t see a huge difference but once i put my mascara on, big difference ! Goes on much easier, not clumpy, lashes are so much more full & long ! Easy to use. No scent. Kinda sticky but if you only use a little then it’s not bad. Overall just feels great & i can definitely see a difference. Would definitely recommend !

I wasn’t expecting it to be so sticky and slick. I was hoping for something that i could put on my hair and not have to wash afterward. When applying this it makes your hair very greasy.

I bought this because i was recommended. I also saw all the positive reviews about it. I just started using it and i hope it really works for me too.

Not super easy to spread and it can look very oily but i think it makes the hair grow so i recommend it

I have only used it for a couple of weeks. Too early to say if it works. It seems to make my lashes softer.

My skin has never looked better, my lashes have grown longer in the past month with this, and my brows don’t even get me started i don’t have to color them in anymore because they are so thick, my skin is so soft! No complaints here! I ordered two more and i’m not even out of the first bottle

I’ve had this for over a week now and used it 3-4 times. It take a bit of getting used to. The ‘liquid’ is really thick and sticky and doesn’t seem to absorb well (as evidenced by my pillowcase the next morning). I tried using it on my hairline area, but 2 days later, it was still sticky and greasy feeling. When i use it on lashes and eyebrows, i leave it for an hour or so before bed, but then wipe most of it off so it doesn’t get all over everything. Too soon to tell if its having any effect or not, but i haven’t had any reactions and there is no scent, so there’s that. It is a big bottle for the money, but i doubt i will buy again.
