This little light bulb is a low cost way to add a little flicker of autumn ambience to my patio. It gives the illusion of a bygone era when homes and porches were gas lit. By 1900 edison and the incandescent light bulb had become the top choice for home lighting. This led bulb hearkens back to that bygone era. It stays cool to the touch, costs pennies to use, is much safer than those gas lights, and is environmentally friendly. I am enjoying its gentle flickering. Think it will stay up till the day after thanksgiving — that’s the day i decorate for christmas.

These lightbulbs are great – the light they give off is much greater than i anticipated! However, they are taller than a standard lightbulb. I tested them indoors first, and they did fit in my standard lamp but just barely. Planned to use these outdoors in a covered sconce. They ended up fitting, but again, just barely. Make sure if you plan to put them in a tight spot, you measure 🙂

Pack of 4 comes in one box with no internal packaging so the package tends to “rattle”. A small pice of bubble wrap around each one would fix. However, none of the bulb were damaged. All bulbs worked first time without an issue.
I dissembled one for a project i was working on and the circuit board and mechanical connections were all solid. I disconnected the ac wires and hardwired a battery connector to the clearly marked “+” and “-“ signs on the circuit board. Using 4 aaa batteries the flame effect worked great.

Beautiful blue flickering lights! Just what i was looking for. They screw in like a regular light bulb. I don’t know how long they last because i just bought them. Looking forward to using them for halloween.

Purchased for family that loves halloween. Immediately put outside in lantern light by door and works great. You flip the switch and it changes modes no issues. They live it.

Well the website states you can use them for many purposes i specifically bought them for exterior halloween lights. They add the perfect amount of spooky light ambience.

With 4 different modes these are a great buy: nothing yet to post on energy efficiency or longevity but they sure look cool and create the vibe we were hoping!

I’m am a lover of horror movies! I also got a lot of cons so i have a lot of memorabilia. So i decided to do a horror movie themed room.
I had some other flame bulbs before but 1 stopped working & the other started to make a noise & way too bright. So i found these, and they are the absolute perfect amount of candle like glow, & sets the ambiance to seem creepy. This is just once corner of the room. I am still working on it. But i do have a different style lamp that will get the 2nd bulb!

I love these & they get turned on every night & so far no issues or sounds coming from them. Really gives the look of a flickering candle. Great price too. I may get more to put outside for halloween look.
I will update if anything changes with them. But i do recommend these for whatever the occasion is you need them for.

Great price for a great affect. We put these in our outdoor house sconces and it gave the house a fun spooky feel, right in time for halloween.

I originally purchased these lights and one did not work so today i received my replacement order. I bought the lights for halloween, which i think they’re going to work fine. But beware that these lights do have a few different settings. Once you put them in a socket and turn the light on, it will have a different pattern each time. I want to use the flickering effect at my front door so i’ll have to turn my switch on and off a couple times until i get to that effect. One pattern is a flickering light and another one is more of a dimming light. I feel like it could make somebody think they got faulty lightbulbs but they aren’t.

Got them for halloween. Breathing effect is good for rooms when used with window clings. Simulated fire is pretty good. Advertising pictures are pretty funny as that is not gonna happen in a light bulb. Price is so-so.

Was very disappointed as it was suppose to have 4 modes and only had 2 but not the flame mode i wanted.they should not be allowed to say it has it if it doesn’t.it works alright other than that but misrepresented.

Great for props or home decor, i love the look it gives to the house at night without actually having to go buy candles.

We are using it in a small lamp where the light shows. It does look like a flame inside the bulb. It is different. Not sure will want to replace it later on with the same thing.

Only knocked a star off because of flame detail. I bet we all wish these could be a little more realistic but hey, these light up great and look cool for what they are. Awesome buy.

These look great and won’t attract bugs! Beautiful natural looking flickering flame and energy efficient! We have ours in seeded glass sconces. I think the sun damages the plastic shell over time and shortens their life expectancy. In a different sconce that filters out sunlight, i think these would last much longer.

These work great, looks like a real flame but do not put off enough light. I would prefer a bit more brightness but oh well, still worth the price.

These are great for some interesting ambiance. The only draw in my opinion is the speed at which the led’s ‘flicker’. The animation on it is just too fast for it to appear as an actual flame. Behind frosted glass, the bulbs almost give the impression of an actual torch flame, until you realize it moves a lot and quickly in an environment without any wind. Overall, i am happy enough but i would not buy again if i can find a bulb with a smoother flickering flame.

I was looking for the cheapest possible way to do a convincing realistic kind of fireplace display with just led lights and no heat. These actually work very very well for that i am totally surprised. Now you can spend two or $300 on electric logs that you plug in and some of them have heaters. My parents actually just put in a $4,500 natural gas log insert. Well that is pretty darn expensive. But i decided i really didn’t need the heat. And i discovered these bulbs and some videos online that make them look like a possibility. So we just actually used the logs that i burned my last fire with and they did not burn down too far so they’re absolutely realistic. And as you can see i had a pretty nice grate, and a nice glass and wire enclosure. I mounted 2 sockets on a 2 x 4 and ran a wire out the left side of my fireplace where there was a nice little gap. It took a while to arrange the logs just so so you can kind of see the plastic bulbs but not the tops of them because that kind of gives it away. But if you just see the side plastic through the logs it’s pretty convincing of a little fire. Honestly i think this is about as good as some of these $300 fire log sets with electric lights behind them. And the nice thing is i can always pull the light bulbs out and light a real fire if i really want to.

There’s one thing about these bulbs in that is if you turn them on and then turn them back on again they change modes to like a solid orange light or a flashing orange light and then back to a flame flashing orange light. So it’s not so great if you turn them off and then decide you want them back on again you got to turn them on three times. But if you wait like a minute or two they will come back on to what they were before. If you get my meaning. I haven’t had these more than about 2 hours so i really don’t know how long they last but i did measure them and they each burn 2 watts which is great.
