Looking for specific info?
Can it cook something that hasn’t already been cooked like a regular crock pot? A stew or soup for example.
It is perfect if you like slightly raw or rare meat. Some tomato sauce and butter and the chicken breast or ribeye comes out perfect, just cut them in cubes for even ‘cooking’ and enjoy juicy meat. But, if in a stew or soup it will take hrs for the meat to turn gray.
Can you smell the food cooking in this like you can with a regular crock-pot? That would be a big problem in my office so want to know before i buy.
I use mine in my office. I leave it to heat up on our pantry counter. I can slightly smell food once it really starts to heat up. But that is only if its something super spicy. I don’t notice any smell if it’s soup.
Is the insert stainless steel or aluminum?
‘they’ say its stainless steel (i did the magnet test and a magnet does not stick to it) but its the cheapest thinnest stainless steel i’ve ever encountered. With that said, i use a ‘2 cup pyrex glass bowl’ in place of the original flimsy insert. It still seals and works well with the glass vs the flimsy insert container. What i give up is a little cock pot space because the glass bowl does not go up as high as the flimsy insert container. This is not a problem for me for most of the time i only need a small amount of food. If i need to take a larger amount, then i use the original flimsy insert container. I really love this product. It works great for my keto foods on the go.

What happens if you leave it plugged in for longer than 1 hour? Longer than 3 hours?
Mine is always plugged in for 3 hours. If you add fully cooked meats they will dry a bit, rice will get crisp on the sides same with pasta but i don’t mind. Fish… Will dry out. Soups and stews perfect.
Has anyone tried to freeze meals in a similarly sized container as the insert for future meals? What were the results and cooking times?
We use the round ziploc containers to freeze leftovers. My husband puts the frozen food in the crockpot in the morning and it’s ready for lunch.
If i use a food sealer can i leave the food in in the plastic sealer bag to heat?
I really do not know, but the food i put in gets quite hot, too hot to eat if left on for an hour or more. If there are any worries about the plastic melting you would have to watch how long you left your food in there. With a bit of care, you should be fine since the plastic is made for boiling temperature. Imho no dirty dish to wash!!

How many whats does this take
I’m not sure what you are asking. I love my little lunch crock. I make soup in big batches and freeze quite a bit to have year round. I put mine frozen in the insert and plug it in when i get to work around 8:15 and by 12 its steaming hot and ready to eat. I would like to think that you could heat just about anything up in it.

How is the cord stored? Is it rolled up in a special slot? Or is it just hanging loose and you have to wrap it around the unit???
The cord wraps around the base of the lunch crock. The base of the lunch crock has space for the cord storage.
What is the difference in the color styles
The only difference is the color. The white ones with the colored trim are the standard ones the company typically carries. I believe the black ones with the colored trim were custom done for a different company, as they are not offered by the manufacturer or in any local retail location.
110 or 220?

Can you cook oatmeal in this crockpot or just warm up already cooked oatmeal?
This crock-pot doesn’t cook, it just warms. The oatmeal would already need to be cooked.
Did they improve the cord location on this second generation lunch crock? Where does the cord attach to the crock pot?
Well the cooker cable i found it at the bottom pot, it comes coiled form part of the same product, also comes another additional cable to connect it to the computer. Comes inside another container that comes with a lid that is hard to open, but when food is heated opens by herself. Very good product. I hope that this has been your question
Can you heat frozen meals that were previously fully cooked?
Yes, it will take longer when frozen. It takes about 10 hours to cook frozen chicken in a crockpot.

Can you use the insert as a bowl to eat from or do you have to transfer food to a bowl?
Yes, the inner food container can be used as a bowl. You eat right out of the entire lunch crock® after your food is warm. Thank you.
Does this have carrying case
No, the crockpot does not have a carrying case, but that would be nice.
Will it fit spa heat stone, 6 of them? Thanks
It measures 3 inches deep and 4 and one fourth across the top..i don’t know how big the stones are but i would think it should
Is it only warm foods or it can cook or heat foods such as noodle and rice?
Hey there! The crock-pot lunch crock food warmer is not intended for cooking food. This warmer is only designed to reheat food that is already cooked. It warms up leftovers, soups, oatmeals, and more low and slow. Thank you for your question.
Does this use the same insert as the previous model? I have 5 of those inserts and would hate to have to reinvest in new inserts.
The stainless steel inserts are interchangeable with any of the 20 ounce lunch crocks.
If i want to heat meat & veggies, but don’t want them to mix together, can i put one in a small container & warm the container & food at the same time
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. We do not recommend putting inside crock-pot lunch crockfood warmer any other container than the original food container that comes with the appliance. We hope this information helps. Should you have any further inquiries, please contact us through email, phone, or the contact form available on our website. Thank you and have a nice day!
