Crockpot Electric Lunch Box, Portable Food Warmer for On-the-Go, 20-Ounce, Faded Blue

Love that the inner stainless steel container is easy to clean. Just pop in dishwasher. The crockpot is a warmer not a cooker and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I bought this for my husband who frequently travels and doesn’t always have a microwave in his room to heat up leftover take out. Small enough to fit in suitcase, easy to use. He likes it a lot and appreciates being able to reheat stuff for later when on the road. I do wish it was a tad bit larger. It’s a 20 ounce portion – a 24 would be nicer and they do sell a bigger model.

I admit i bought this because it was cute. It’s fun to use, too. It offers a practical way to warm up a meal. A responsible older child could use it safely. All you have to do is fill the inner container with soup or leftovers, put on the inner and outer lid, and plug it in. It would also work for a person who could not reach a microwave mounted over the stove due to physical limitations, such as being confined to a wheelchair.

I haven’t transported my unit anywhere with food in it. I doubt it’s completely leakproof, especially if you have soup in it. If you want to use it in a workplace, i suggest transporting it in a leakproof container or bag.

The other thing to consider is that this unit warms up food that has already been cooked. It doesn’t cook raw food.

I appreciate being able to keep soup hot for as long as i wish until i’m ready to eat.

If you want to be able to arrive at work, plug it in and let it warm, then unplug it when you’re ready for lunch and eat, then this is for you! It’s awesome. It isn’t a slow-cooker like a traditional crockpot. It basically takes the place of having to use the microwave at work. You can heat up soup, ramen, rice, pasta, whatever leftovers you have, just toss it in and warm it up. I’ve put uncooked ramen in it with some water at 8am, and at 11:45 i opened it up to perfectly cooked ramen.

So simple to use and clean! I hate using the office microwave. I mean i love my coworkers, but i really don’t love sharing their splattered lunches and who-knows-what in that microwave that rarely gets cleaned. This little gem solves the problem and lets me start from frozen as well.

A cold or frozen meal portion gets popped in the dishwasher safe metal liner and that gets popped in the unit. Get to work, plug it in at your desk and in a few hours your meal is ready. The unit stays cool, and there are no tempting smells to taunt you before lunch. When you’re ready, unplug it, twist off the outer and inner lids and enjoy. Looks great, too. Several coworkers remarked how cool it was and a few have since gotten their own.

I work in an office where there isn’t a microwave nearby so this is a perfect option for me! I put leftovers in this and bring it to work and then plug it in to heat up about 30 mins before i’m ready to eat. It does take a bit to get warm (no more than 30 mins for sure), so i get it going while i’m in a meeting before lunch! I also think it would be great for date night queso too 🙂

I’m finally able to have home made food at work without having to use a microwave. The portion size is great, super easy to clean and very compact.
If plugged directly into a wall outlet, the unit itself heats up the food much quicker than using a multi plug extension cord. For soup at work, i plug it in at 10:30 at my desk, and carry it with the handle to the break room for lunch around 11:45-12. It’ll be at the most perfect temperature. When it comes back in stock, do not hesitate to buy. It’s even better in the winter times w warm foods.

This mini crockpot is the perfect size for lunch. It perfectly heats my food in 1-2 hours and comes out better then it would in the microwave. Having lunch heated right away is such a time saver, no more waiting for the microwave in the break room. I love that the cord wraps up around the bottom to save space and looks clean on my desk. I just wish they would sell the inserts separately so i could prep meals in the crockpot container ahead of time. Would recommend this crockpot again and again.

So after years of microwaving soup in a plastic container, i decided i’d rather cut down on all that lovely microplastic i put in my body. I found this little guy to replace that method. Comes with this seamless stainless steel heating bowl that’s removable…takes about a solid hour for canned soup, 11⁄2hours for refrigerated, and about 21⁄2 hours for partially thawed out soup. It heats it up perfectly, i unplug it, wrap the cord around the base and carry the whole thing by its handle to my desk and eat right out of it. I use it every day. Oh yeah, the base doesn’t get too hot on the outside either.

This is the best idea ever i put two chili leftovers from the night before and bring them to work and i’ll plug up my little crock pot lunch box maybe a half hour before i’m supposed to go to lunch and it is warm ready to go hot best thing ever

Works great for my husbands work day lunch. Now he gets a very warm/hot healthy meal instead of all that bread and a cold sandwich everyday. He is totally loving it. No spills, no hassle just plug it in and let the magic begin!!!!! Thank you,linda in oregon

This works well for me at work as i don’t have access to a microwave (or close restaurants) . It does take a while to heat up so you have to remember to plug it in on time (for me about 1/5 hours). It really is for one person as it holds small portions and you can really only heat one type of food as it doesn’t have separations. It is easy to clean and so far has stayed sealed well.

This thing is so simple yet so awesome. It literally just warms your food up overtime it’s nothing special but i legit hate microwaved food i don’t know why i just do and so when i get to work i plug this thing in with leftover soup or whatever and by the time i take lunch it is hot! I have yet to experiment with other foods but i’m excited to try. The only thing i wasn’t too impressed with is the cleaning. Food tends to get stuck underneath the vent hole and after i think it’s clean i’ll wipe it and still see soup color so it definitely holds onto the food that’s the only thing. I would not recommend putting it in the dishwasher because that’s how they get warped and then no longer fit properly. Overall awesome little item!

This is the 2nd food warmer i purchased from crock pot. Their first model was slightly larger and easier to open. This new style is a bit more compact and the new colors look sleek. Overall, it’s a great product and works well to warm food. I turn the lunch warmer on 15 minutes before i eat to warm stir fry, chicken or veggies. To warm soup takes a little longer and i will allow it to warm 30 minutes. Food is always perfect temperature and not too hot.

Wish it had a high/low setting. I have to remember to unplug it a bit before lunch time or my food will be way too hot to eat!

I am sooooo shocked. I need to start paying attention to measurements.
When the package arrived, i thought no way my crock pots are in there – yep – 2 of them were! Unreal funny.

These are gifts so i have yet to return. We will see how they like them.

I can’t imagine reheating my lunch in this tiny snack adorable crock pot.

When i first got this crockpot, i really liked it. However, now the internal lid will not screw on tight. Even though it is dishwasher safe, i have only ever hand washed it. It feels like it starts to tighten but will immediately loosen up. Almost like it’s going on crooked. However, it won’t tighten up. I fear this is causing it to not seal and isn’t heating the food up very efficiently. It’s unfortunate because i really like this for heating up lunch as a teacher with a very short lunch time.

Ok i actually love this little lunch box. About an hour before my scheduled lunch. My food is nice and warm when its time for me to eat. I don’t have to worry about finding a separate container. Its grab and go.

The only thing that i don’t like about this is the cord. When you are eating, the cord is in the way. You really cant wrap it around the base, you risk your food spilling. I also feel like i’m going to damage the cord wrapping it around because it’s such a tight fit. If the cord was removable, this would be so much better.

Finally got to test it out at work this evening. Campbell’s chunky soup heats up in a little over 2 hours. Insert is aluminum, not surprising since aluminum transfers heat better than stainless steels, and is already stained from first use. Maybe the stain will disappear when washed in the dishwasher. Still had some leftover room from the max fill line with an 18.8 oz can, insert capacity was 20 or so oz, if i remember right. Does great at reheating soups or chili if you’re in no real rush to eat.

My husband uses this everyday! I know it says dishwasher safe but wash by hand save yourself the trouble of a seal issue with the lid

It works. It gets really hot but it takes at least 20 minutes after plugging in. But overall like it and it’s great for hot food on the go (but where you can use an electrical outlet.)
