I never thought a brush would help my curls but this brush has been a game changer. I use it about once a week on soaking wet hair. I love the results. It took a little to get used to it because it does change your curls and second day hair is a little different than what i am used to but i definitely like the results and especially for special occasions where i need a good curls.

I was told by a lady with beautiful waves in her natural hair that to get this style, you need the denman brush to work with your products. Bought the brush and at first use it seemed like a normal detangeler, but as my hair dried, i could see the curling pattern begin. Long wavy strand of hair that look amazing when dried. Couldn’t believe it! I can’t get to the back of the hair as well but the waves did come, not as well as the front as you can’t twist the brush that well in the back. As a detangerler, it’s the best . Don’t sleep on using the denman brush! It does the job. Worth the price.

This brush has seriously changed my life. I have 2b-2c curls in very long dense hair that has a lot of thin individual strands creating the thickness. My type of hair is very prone to tangles and mats, and brushing has always been a traumatic issue for me, particularly in my childhood.

I have a pretty strong pain tolerance for everything except my scalp. I never liked anyone braiding, brushing, or even touching my hair (especially not with any humidity). It never improved no matter how much i brushed. As a frustrated child i refused to brush and had several traumatizing events of cutting out large matted sections of hair. I grew up in one of the whitest suburban towns and had very white sheltered parents who also took me to local white hairdressers that thought my 2b/c hair was the most texture they’d seen (lol). Naturally, none of them had any clue how to handle my hair and a brush like this would’ve literally saved me and my parents so many headaches. Even into my adulthood i hated brushing so much i would avoid it.

So now, being in my 30s, i decided to spend a little more on this brush specific for curly hair and loved by textured hair stylists everywhere. I thought maybe it would be better than the clunky big square brushes i’ve used forever, but i had no idea how much better it truly was. I know it’s not necessarily meant to be a detangler, but it brushes through my hair painlessly when wet or dry (i try not to brush dry to reduce breakage) and combs out tangles without tightening the knots until the hair breaks. I don’t shed as much with it, either, and don’t feel as much hair being ripped out. It brought tears to my eyes. I could’ve avoided this pain for the last 30 years of my life if i had just had the proper brush. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it, it is. Not to mention my curls are more defined and less frizzy than ever before.

I don’t use heat on my hair, really. So i can’t attest to using blow drying or this to help drying. The only downside of this brush (which isn’t enough to dock any stars, mind you) is the rubber brush head will sometimes slip out too easily when it gets wet. But that’s also due to my bad habits of how i brush my hair.

My friend told me about this product. I was sceptical at first. I have long, thick and curly hair. I would definitely say without a doubt it was worth the money. It doesn’t hurt to brush my hair after getting out of the shower. Less hair comes out each time i brush as well.

I was just told to try a denman brush. The style is hard to find. The brand is impossible in my area. So i just ordered. Used last night and this morning. Absolutely loving my curly hair again!

I’ve had this a few weeks and i’m a fan! The pink and white one is adorable! It doesn’t have those beads on the end of each bristle which ultimately fall off, which is nice.

It’s easy to clean. You can see in my pic that this brush is much cleaner than my other one and yet i spent the same amount of time cleaning them.

The logo on the back has worn off very quickly, but it doesn’t really bother me.

I decided recently to embrace god’s gift to me. Naturally curly hair. After fighting for years with frizzy hair i decided to give this brush a try and boy am i glad i did. Since i have been using it i have had to buy 2 more for other family members!

I brushed my hair as soon as it arrived. I thought, ‘where have you been all my life?’ felt good on my scalp and no snagging. I ordered another one the next day! Love, goldilocks

I get great curl/coil definition when using my denman! I actually use 3 different brushes (detangler, styler, smoothing) and my favorite part of my hair regimen is when i get to the denman part of it (second). It’s very easy to clean and i love how my scalp feels like i got a good massage after using it! (i have 4c shoulder length hair)

I’ve been wanting a denman brush for so long now and finally decided to purchase one. It’s been working great so far! It took some practice and research to get the technique right but once i did it really sped up my styling routine while still maintaining great volume and definition.

First to note the review asks me to rate detangling and drying power. This item is not for detangling hair it apparently says it can but there are better brushes for that. The bristles are very stiff which can damage hair especially when detangling. Also this product does not dry hair.

Real or knock off controversy: you know i wasn’t sure if it was real or fake when i revived the brush. I was almost tempted to send it back but i didn’t. At the end of the day i decided that even if it is a knock off it might get the job done. Now i’m no brush expert so i still don’t know if it is real or fake but i do know it still hasn’t broke!

We have had the brush for just over 2 months now and it still looks brand new. Part of that i think it’s because we don’t use it to detangle hair.

It has been fun trying to figure out which brushing method to use on my daughters wavy hair. It for sure helps show definition to her waves.

It might be a knock off or it might be the real thing but i don’t think it is worth the price of $25.

This brush is very nice for curly hair. Not super great for coily hair. It is not good for detangling, but it works great to create curl definition on wavy and curly hair.
On myself i was not very impressed, but i used it on a friend to great effect. With the correct technique it can create some nice results.

I do love the fact that there are no balls on the end of the teeth/bristles, since that means it does not get caught on the hair and makes brushing a super easy and painless experience.

Just started using the denman brush for my curly/wavy hair and it does a nice job. Not overly impressed with the price at all and i almost feel like the brush should be a bit larger so you don’t have to take such small sections of hair.

I’ve always loved denman brushes for detangling and styling. The only downside to this particular one is that the bristle pad constantly slides out the base of the brush.

I like the size for travel or carrying in a purse for touch ups

I use this brush on my curly hair wet. Which means my hands are wet and usually have some leave in conditioner on them. So the handle is way to slippery and very hard to hold onto. But it detangles my hair just fine

I use this for both my daughter and i to help detangle hair after we used our wide tooth comb in the shower. This product is by far one of the easiest brushes to help detangle hair. My daughters hair is a combination of 2c/3a hair. I have 2c hair.

I have been using this brush for a million years. I notice the material used is different. It feel’s rougher on my scalp. It almost hurts. Never experienced that before.

But it does style hair fairly well. It might take a bit longer than a full size denman, but it will do the job. Especially good for travel.

The bristles are kind of hard but i feel they’ll soften up after using it on my 3b/3c curls. Because the bristles are hard, my curls don’t curl up as well as they do with my black/red denman brush. Again, i’m thinking once the bristles soften up a bit, i think it’ll be better. Otherwise, easy to hold and super beautiful. I like the rose/pink design on the back.
