I have a problem with the bottom portion of my spine. I have been looking for something to sit on that would feel comfortable and not hurt. I purchased one cushion from amazon which had a cut out in the back. It was ok to use on a chair but i could not use it in my car because it was almost 3′ thick and had no give.
My doctor said to get a donut pillow. I did a lot of research and read reviews on amazon. I finally purchased the ergonomic innovations orthopedic donut pillow. This is a perfect fit for me, not too hard, not too soft and easy to pick up and move from one chair to another. The removable cover was easy to unzip and the foam inside was new. The pillow comes in a hard box (not a plastic bag).
I am 5’7′ and weigh 143 pounds. At first i was unsure how to use the pillow but the customer service is excellent in responding to your questions.
The best test was an 8 hour car ride. The pillow fit fine in the car and i was able to enjoy the trip.
I like the pillow so much that i purchased a second one to keep in the car.

I can’t believe how quickly this worked! Okay to be fair i just got it 2 hours ago so i’ll come back to update if needed. But, i’ve been in pain for weeks and now i’m not.
Update: for those complaints about this being hard… Check that you are sitting at the right angle. Anyone having tailbone issues will feel excruciating pain if you aren’t positioned properly. I had this after a couple of days. However i have 2 of the exact same pillow. One didn’t work as well as the other. That is until i figured out the angle. Remember your tailbone is not supposed to come into contact with the surface. Find a way to get that area to touch down in the middle.

I have hs and had a lesion on my gluteal cleft. This pillow was great for relieving pain and pressure & allowing me to sit comfortable all day (8 hr shift) and i love that the cover is removable/washable. Memory foam is soft yet firm enough to support me (235 lbs ) without flattening.

I have purchased 2 of these donut pillows for my husband. He has one in his recliner and one in his wheelchair. They give him so much pain relief. They are very comfortable and made extremely well. I like that the cover comes off and can be washed. Great product and i would recommend this to anyone who has pain when they sit down.

I bought this product twice and it gives comfort in both situations! I have a hairline fracture on my coccyx and my dad has sciatic pain and it helps with comfort when sitting for both of us!

I used this for a month after i bruised my tailbone. So light to carry around and very comfortable.

I need to take the pressure off, when sitting, after a difficult colon resection. I suspected that i would have a problem going back to work and sitting, and i did. This cushion really helps. Not too hard, not too soft and does help take the pressure off the internal surgical repair site. It conforms better & works better than a much harder foam cushion, with no give, that i dug out of a closet and i never liked anyway.
For $50 i hope this cushion doesn’t flatten out too fast. But, it is very nice, has a depression front & back to help with pressure relief, a nonskid bottom, nice plush fabric on top side. I hesitated to spend $50 but i’m glad i did. Helps my lower back, too. No other cushion has ever seemed to help with that.

I purchased this donut for my mom and she said that is was too hard. I contacted customer service and lucy, was prompt with a reply and offered a replacement that was softer, and wait for it….. For free. ‘we don’t believe you should pay any extra just because the first one isn’t comfortable. Wow, lucy, was right their to back up their satisfaction guarantee! I would say to all companies, listen and learn.

Purchasing the donut pillow from ergonomic innovations, was the correct decision. Make sure you always verify the availability to get the correct firmness (example: know the weight of person who it is specifically being purchased for). Also, the assistance from lucy, to provide professional information to assure correct decision, proved extremely valuable. They make every attempt to assure product is expedited, so you can benefit from the products design, as soon as possible. Great product and service!

This cushion does such a good job, and is helping my elderly husband recover from very low spin compression injuries from a fall. Bob & brad’s products are definitely high quality. However, my husband sits in his desk chair with this for long periods, and also sleeps in a recliner with it, and incontinence problems arise. The interior foam now has a disagreeable odor and is not washable. So we ordered a 2nd one, expecting to have the white waterproof part of the cover. Sadly, we did not get the version pictured. We received the same older version with a cover that is fabric nap only, exactly like the one we ordered earlier. The newest version has a completely waterproof cover that can be removed and washed, and is all black. We received this latest version directly from the company, which gave us excellent customer service. If there are incontinence issues using this cushion, contact the company about how to get the waterproof version, and do not order this one from amazon at this time.

Is comfortable to sit on and does provide relief. Wish it was more compact in order to take into work for my chair.

This is a great pillow to give my tailbone relief as i continue to work from home and sit in a task chair. I wish it was a bit deeper/had more height but it immediately gave me relief so i would definitely recommend.

I used it for a tailbone injury.

The pillow was fine. It just didn’t work for my pelvic prolapse. Didn’t want to give a low score because of my issue, probably be good for others. Tailbone issue would probably be good relief.

I spend 8-10 hours a day in a chair and am post hamstring surgery so this was a lifesaver. Highly recommend

Does exactly what you need it to. Would be 5 stars except the zipper can be a little annoying at times. It either moves slightly from day to day or rubs my foot if i sit cross-legged. But other than that it’s perfect!

I like the product, have referred this product to two friends, one has already purchased. Only thing that i would have preferred is a bottom without the non-slip knobby material since i use this cushion in my automobile that has velour seating material

I have a bruised tailbone which is why i ordered this pillow. It does relieve pain if i lean forward which i do not find confortable.

Recovering from surgery so spending lots of time in chair. Helps ease tailbone pain for a while.
