Update 7/4/2022: my significant other still uses this shave gel every time he shaves. During the pandemic we saw the price jump to almost double what it cost before the pandemic. We waited for the price to come back down but it never did. The price is still too high for this product but we will continue to purchase it because my significant other loves this shave gel and you cannot find it in our local area. If only working wages increased as fast as the price increases of household goods increases.

my significant other and i share shave gel. We both have sensitive skin and i have allergies to fragrances. We have tried a number of brands over the years but edge ultra sensitive shave gel is our all time favorite brand. It’s hard to find in local stores, so i love that it’s available on amazon.

On amazon you get 6 cans of shave gel. Each can holds 7 ounces. The can has a lid that pops off and then the dispenser which is the typical push button shave gel dispenser that you are used to. The can has the perfect amount of pressure making it really easy to dispense the shave gel even when it’s almost empty.

Edge ultra sensitive shave gel is one of the few brands of shave gel that actually allows you to get every last drop of shave gel out of the can, every brand should be that way. In terms of lather, this shave gel leaves behind a rich, soothing, and creamy lather.

The lather of this shave gel actually makes shaving safer because you don’t have to go over the same area multiple times with your razor and your razor glides easily over the shave gel. We use gillette sensor 2 disposable razors for shaving and they don’t have a lubrication strip so creamy shave gel helps.

This shave gel is really soothing when you apply it. You definitely get the moisturizing feeling and it doesn’t dry out your skin. If you have nicks or cuts from previous shaving sessions, this shave gel does not burn when it goes inside of those nicks and cuts.

I primarily use this shave gel on my legs and under my armpits whereas my significant other uses this shave gel on his face and the very top of his chest. My skin is so sensitive that most shave gels leave me covered in rashes or bumps, i do not have that problem with edge ultra sensitive shave gel.

Ingredients: water/eau; palmitic acid; triethanolamine; stearic acid; sunflower seed oil glyceride; isopentane; sorbitol; isobutane; benzyl alcohol; lauryl alcohol; hydroxyethylcellulose; glycerin; allantoin; benzaldehyde; avena sativa kernel flour (oat kernel flour).

The ingredient list for this shave gel is far from perfect. Triethanolamine is an immune toxicant and allergen, respiratory toxicant and allergen, and a skin toxicant and allergen. Isopentane is a known skin irritant. Isobutane is a known irritant, toxicant, and allergen. Benzyl alcohol is a known toxicant, allergen, and is related to immunotoxicity. Benzaldehyde is also a known toxicant.

Despite all of the possible allergen and toxicants found in this shave gel i have never had a reverse reaction to using this shave gel nor has my significant other. He doesn’t have allergies, but i am allergic to almost everything under the sun and i have no problems with this shave gel.

One thing that did occur on my significant other’s face while using this shave gel was these white creases in several places on his face. They looked like little white streaks on his face. After researching all of the ingredients it turns out that the white streaks are a side effect of the ingredient allantoin.

You can easily get rid of the white streaks/creases caused by allantoin by applying lotion or after shave directly after shaving. If you don’t, you might find your face covered in white streaks/creases. I appreciate the fact that this shave gel is dermatologist tested and dye free.

Warnings on the can say do not heat this container or it may explode. Contents under pressure. Do not place near hot water, radiators, stoves, or other sources of heat. Do not puncture of incinerate container or store at temperatures above 50c/120f. Avoid extreme cold. Do not immerse in water. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. Discard can upon rusting. Use only as directed. Keep out of reach of children.

While some brands of shave gel allow you to use them in shave gel and lather heating system edge ultra sensitive shave gel is not one of them. The can will actually expand and look like it’s ready to blow up if you put it in a shave gel and lather heating system.

Despite saying to avoid prolonged exposure with water, my significant other and i both take the can of edge ultra sensitive shave gel into the shower with us. A can lasts us a little over 3 weeks and we have never had problems with the cans showing any signs of rust.

Recently we had to stop using edge ultra sensitive shave gel in our household because i have developed a sunflower allergy. Finding a replacement shave gel has been like looking for a needle in a haystack, almost impossible. I wish we could still use edge ultra sensitive shave gel.

I had been using edge but when i ran out, it bought some gillett while in costco. I tried both shaving gels and prefer edge because it seems i get far less ‘nicks’ than with gillett. Additionally, the gel seems to lather better too. I’ll not go back to gillett.

Great price gor the three bundled, won’t let you down it have a nice scent and does work treat.

Great gel but could have bought it cheaper if i drove 3 miles to walgreens.

My husband uses this to shave his head. He is very satisfied with it.

I hate shaving. Hate it. But i hate the scruffy look more, so shave i must. Edge gel has always been a favorite of mine, and i’ve tried pretty much every variant looking for that perfect experience. My skin is ultra-sensitive, thin, and just not good, and most shaving creams leave me either dried out, or painfully raw, no matter what i do.

Not so this item! Although the item description doesn’t quite make it clear, the green cap is the double aloe version (there is an orange cap regular aloe version too) and the double aloe makes all the difference in the world!

It certainly has not made shaving magically pleasant for me – but it leaves me by far with the best outcome, and the least amount of damage, of any gel i’ve ever tried. If your skin is painful post-shave, this is the gel you’ve been looking for. Green cap! Buy with confidence!

Subtle scent. A small dab makes a lot of rich lather.

I am taking blood thinners that prevent me from using the razors. However since i found this type of pre-shave i have been using it and i am very satisfied. It’s about time i get a clean shave without any blood.

Terrific scent, good for sensitive skin and good value for multiple cans! No bumps after shaving and produced a good, clean shaving experience!

It has a good refreshing smell to it. Finally found something that actually smells good and works good. Also it lathers up quite well. I’ll keep buying it as long as it’s available.

Bought this one since it was cheaper than the gilette equivalent for sensitive skin and honestly can’t tell the difference. Works great and also it’s a bit less messy with the overflow/drying of excess gel from the bottle.

As i expected

This is great gel! It makes shaving super easy & a little goes a long way!

Although it’s not my favorite scent, it’s a good value
