Looking for specific info?

Does anyone know what the amp rating on these 16ft 4gauge is? Idk why energizer doesn’t mention that important information here. Thank you.

For 16ft 4gauge, about 500 amps based on other sets they sell. It could be a little higher depends on the copper aluminum cald ratio. Aluminum is about half as conductive as copper

What size cable should i get for my nissan rouge a 6 gauge or 4?

The 4 gauge would be recommended for larger vehicles, such as the nissan rouge.

Where is my case? Dear seller, uncle stoneface is upset that cables were shipped sans advertised storage/carry bag. What now?

Call amazon!!

Can anyone please tell me the measurement of the bag and its weight? (with the cable inside)

The bag with the enb616 cables stored inside of it is 3.7 pounds (11 inches diameter 2.5 inches tall).

Are the clamps solid copper or just copper coated?

Solid copper will be too malleable (soft). So, i think it is copper coated rather than alloyed. However, there is enough copper layered on it to be effective for the purpose. So far, the copper has not flaked off – but it is only about six months. My problem with the clamps was the design which made it extremely difficult to attach to the battery of a prius. If you have another type of vehicle, where there is enough room around the battery to place these clamps, they should be a good choice.

What would you recommend for a honda cr-v suv?

We would recommend either the enb220 (2 awg, 20 ft.) or the enb125 (1 awg, 25 ft.) to safely jump the battery from rear of the vehicle.

What would you recommend for a toyota camry 2005?

I don’t see why not..

Can these cables handle a constant 200 amp load?

Yes, the enb616 can handle the 200 amp load, but it is better to go up to the next model that has thicker gauge cables.

Can this be used for trolling motor on a boat?

A typical trolling motor draws about 50 amps and should have a built-in 50 amp circuit breaker, so handling 50 amps of current is not a problem for jumper cables, but trolling motor manufacturers expect you to use something like a newport vessels trolling motor smart battery box. They usually have something like a 50ah battery and has terminals sort of like 2 wing nuts that are compatible with the round terminals on the wires coming out of a typical trolling motor. I wouldn’t use jumper cables to make the connection, you don’t want something that could slip off the terminals while you are out on the water, you want something that you can securely screw down tight. As someone already mentioned, jumper cables are for brief temporary connections.

Where is manufacturer warranty register to get 6month more?

No idea. I didn’t even know they could give you six more months of warrenty. I hope someone from the company answers cause i would love to get that. But the cables work really well

Is this also a battery charger

No, the energizer jumper cables are not a battery charger. The jumper cables are intended to connect two vehicle batteries together so that the a vehicle with a working battery can jump start a vehicle with a drained battery.

What’s the number of amps on this jumper cable?

The enb420 maximum amperage is 70 amps.

Would it work on a 1997 chevrolet blazer?

Yes they would work!!

What gauge works best for a honda civic? I have read either 4, 6, or 8 gauge would work.

Any of those sizes will work for you a small car which means a smaller battery. The lower the number the longer it will generally last you quality wise as well as it can carry much more heat without beginning to melt and come apart of many uses or an inappropriate use. I also considered length. Because if i have to go on a road to jump start my other trucks, i wanted the length to be able to stay right behind them in the emergency lane to use my vehicle as a buffer (i work fire rescue for 25 yrs). I also would not want it to short and have to be next to the emergency lane sticking out into the street or worse, a highway. And i absolutely would not want as i have seen too many times, for the jumper to pass the car and turn around to face on coming traffic so the 2 engine compartments can be nose to nose because the cables were too short. Not to mention you are confusing passing drivers as they pass by. My .02 cents. I hope it helped you make your decision

Recent buyers: was the item that you received, the exact same as pictured above?

Yep! Nice round bag hold the cables. One side is see thru.

If the 2 leads are separated (+-) will the copper be exposed?

The copper-clad aluminum wire will be exposed if you separate the two leads. We advise against separating the leads.

Will these cables support powering a 2006 v6 ford explorer and a 2010 honda crv ???

They will connect the two cars together, yes.

What’s the shipping weight of the item? Product info lists as 4 lbs, is this correct?

That should be close

Item was delivered but was not in mailbox. Can i get a replacement or refund?

Call amazon they’ll refund it or send it again

Where is this product made?

China

You need these!

Let me tell you i have a 2005 4runner and a 2012 nissan murano and although they’re great cars you never know what could happen. I always keep them with me and they’ve saved me a handful of times! Buy these and stay safe and self reliant friends!

5Expert Score
High quality!

I am very impressed with the quality of these jumper cables. I like how they come looped in a zipper storage bag instead of having a sharp bend/fold in the cables like others. The clamps are great and allow for multiple connecting options. I recommend!

Jumper cables

Jumper cables just in case we need them this winter. They are good quality.

5Expert Score
Sturdy and easy to attach

Cables are good gage and easy to attach to terminals. They are also more flexible then some older style jumper cables. Would suggest ordering longer length to provide more jumping options. Picture of how packed provided.

5Expert Score
Great long cables

These cables are beyond reliable! They are great in the length area. I appreciate they came with their own carrying case for easy organization and storage.

Good for the money

Good clamps, cable is large enough to handle a jump start load. For jump starts.

4th pair

I have 3 other pairs, bigger for my trucks. This pair is the 16’ 6 gauge. I ordered them for my sxs so that they’re lighter and still dependable. Also take up less room than my longer ones. I’m happy with them. The case is crap. My other 3 pair came with much better cases. This is a plastic junk soft case. All 4 of my jumper cables are energizer. They hold up and deliver the juice.

4Expert Score
Good value; flimsy bag, flawed clamp design

The clamps are good for getting at hard-to-reach battery terminals, and the spring is also not too stiff to open with one hand. However, you have to be make sure the lower jaw touches the terminal because the upper jaw is not connected to the cable and there’s no bridge wire between the two jaws.

Great emergency cables

This is a good product. Bought 3 and put them in trunk of the family cars. Only negative is flimsy plastic zippered case. Tears easily from the teeth on the clamps. Oh well.

Heavy duty spring clamps are ideal for connecting to battery!

It appears to have the durability and amperage handling capabilities! So far very good

Product looks lie it was advertised.

The jumper cables look like they will work as advertised. This is a product that one hopes he/she will never need to use. I can’t definitively answer a question about their quality until i use them.

Worked perfectly. Saved much hassle.

These jumper cables worked perfectly. They are long enough to reach across two vehicles and feel nice and sturdy when connecting.

My sole (minor) complaint is the round plastic bag barely holds in the cables. I got them in, true, but it took longer than the entire jumping process. Hopefully, this mild hassle will never again be relevant.

These cables nicely include a little sticker with these instructions, but my car manual says to connect the last black (that would go to the dead battery’s negative terminal) to a ground, namely my engine block, which has its own dedicated metal protrusion just for connecting jumper cables. Check your car’s owner’s manual for more information.

Now i just need to figure out what is draining my battery with the engine off.

Obligatory psa: always keep jumpers, spare tire (inflated), jack and tire iron, emergency road kit, spare clothes, water, snacks, and cash for gas home. In a pinch, floor mats can help if stuck in ice.

Be sure whatever cables you buy can reach from your battery past the length of your car, in case you or the car you’re helping parked front-end in.

Here’s my poem for remembering how to connect the batteries safely (red=positive, black=negative):
red, red, black, black.
Red on dead.
Red then black on charged pack.
Start the black parade.

4Expert Score
Well built

These cables are well built and easy to use. I only wish they were longer cables.

4Expert Score
Nice case.

Haven’t used them yet, i assume they work.
