essence | Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara | Gluten & Cruelty Free

This was an impulsive prime day purchase that turned out to be a happy bit of foolishness. I really like it! Goes on smooth, the color quality is as described. I’ve worn this out in snowy and rainy weather and it stayed fast. Got teary eyed a few times and it didn’t smudge. Truly long lasting. My only gripe is that it can be hard to remove. I have to hold a wet rag or apply some face cream to my eyes to soften it a bit and then i can wipe it away – only then does it sometimes smudge under my eyes.

So, i have always used cover girl. It’s been my go-to for years. But, i deceived to try something a little different. So i started my search for mascara. I have sensitive eyes, so as soon as this came today, i ordered it yesterday (thank you, prime)! I put it on immediately. I have really sensitive eyes. First, no flaking. Second, it was easy to apply, and i liked how was brush fully coated my lashes. Usually, i put on a couple of coats. But i just put on one this time to get a feel for it. I will come back in a few days with an update. But right now. I’m glad i made the purchase.

I’ve read reviews on this site as well as other cosmetic retailers and from friends. This stuff is awesome! Nothing fancy about the name, and definitely not a fancy price! I have decent lashes that have been kinda losing their luster over the years. With a little help from an old school curler, this mascara does the trick with one coat. No funky scents, good coverage, comes off with makeup remover of your choice (i use almay or clinique). Be gentle and don’t tug or rub your eyes, you know the drill. It’s 5 bucks, what have you got to lose?

You will be very happy with this mascara. No more spending money on mascaras that do not live up to their ad’s. This does lengthen make them fat and fluffy and feels light. This really does give the appearance of false eyelashes but you will have to put on 3 or more coats (depending on you and what you like) really it s about preference. How you like them. My eyelashes are not as gorgeous as they once were. I m older now ( 64 ) and i really do love wearing false eyelashes
( i ve been wearing them since the 80’s when they were not necessarily the thing to do ) sometimes i d just rather not hassle with them that’s where this mascara comes in.

If i do want to wear false eyelashes i put a small bit on my upper lashes before applying my false lashes because it keeps my real eye lashes from sticking out underneath the false ones. Sometimes you can see my real eyelashes sticking out and i rather not use a curler or more mascara on the false ones. Idk if i m explaining that right. But some of us have that problem.

Anyways it s all so beautiful, i do not think you ll be disappointed.

Omfg this is the best mascara i’ve ever used. If you asked me what i thought the best mascara was a few months ago i would’ve said falsies lash lift (which is a good one but i lost a few lashes), but lash princess??? Literally the best thing ever. My lashes look so long and literally look like falsies no joke. It’s so easy to remove and doesn’t dry my lashes out at all. It stays all day for me after 8 hours of school in this heat wave. Applies so well i would marry this mascara and change my last name to lash princess if i could. Don’t walk run for this masterpiece

Okay, look. I am 27 years old. I have been wearing mascara for a long time. Probably fifteen years or something. I have short, straight lashes that get tangled together, and the top ones tangle into the bottom ones. I have tried everything short of super high end mascara because i am cheap and i don’t want to waste money on it if it’s going to be something else that doesn’t work. I can’t use the plastic wands because they do nothing for my aforementioned wonky lashes. It quite literally looks like i haven’t bothered putting anything on. So when this when on sale on prime day and my mom recommended it, i figured i might as well give it a shot. I had nothing to lose except a few dollars because i had no hope left.

Well, butter my buns and call me a biscuit, because i was so pleasantly surprised by this mascara. It separates my lashes where they tangle without getting all over my lid, which is another problem i run into. It doesn’t smudge easily and doesn’t run in the rain or when i sweat or get teary (i live in alabama and i am a weepy gal, so you can imagine this is a huge feat). My lashes look, well, like they exist after one coat, and with two or three, they’re separated, not clumpy, thick, and long. Like i said, i’ve used dozens of mascaras at various price points, and i really think this is the best one.

I do recommend using the primer that goes with it if you have shorter, thinner, or blonder lashes like mine. It’s good alone, but i definitely see a difference using it together. It’s one of the better primers i’ve used as well. It dries quickly, but doesn’t get so crunchy you can’t put mascara on top easily, and again, doesn’t make my lashes tangled, which is just such a huge deal for me, i truly cannot express to you.

If you’re on the fence, get it. It’s absolutely worth the price, and might be the best one you’ve tried!

Have purchased several mascaras over the last few months. This one is by far the best i have found. It goes on without clumping or depositing globs of mascara on my lashes. The brush works very well and nicely coats lashes while lengthening them. I use two coats and i’m set. Easy clean off also. And the best part…the price! Performs much better than mascaras at 5x the price. I just ordered two more after tossing all (5) the others taking up room in my make-up organizer.

This has been a go to for my wife for quite some time. The formula is not cakey in the least. Its incredibly affordable and doesn’t have a bunch of questionable ingredients that you wouldn’t want to put on your eyes. It lasts quite a bit of time too even with everyday use, about 3 months or so from the time its opened. It holds curl well and doesn’t make your lashes smush together.

Your eyes are such an important part of your routine. Its like putting a shirt on. Without proper attention you can look tired,washed out or old. Mascara is a must and this product is the must. Better than any products i have bought from sephora,macys nordstrom etc. Love it !! Goes on smooth with great volume and length. This is something i will always buy and buy as gifts. I gave it to my daughter and sister they love it.

So amazon suggested i might like this and i read the reviews and decided to try. I accidentally ordered two, but now i’m glad i did, because i really like this mascara and will even buy again. What i like about it is that it makes my eyelashes look long and separated, instead of long and heavy and clumpy like some mascaras. This feels light on my lashes, not heavy, if that makes sense. I think it stays on ok but i can’t really say for sure, because i always follow with waterproof maybelline mascara in the pink tube. That mascara is really water proof but doesn’t do much for length or thickness. I only use it for my final layer. It keeps my mascara from running and helps separate my lashes. It is easily removed with albolene cream.

I have to say my eyelashes look super good lately. They are looking really long and the only thing i can think is it must be because i have started using albolene moisturizing cleanser to remove my eye makeup. I used to use coconut oil. The albolene works fine to remove this mascara and the rest of my make up and then i just use a hot wash cloth to remove the excess. It must leave some moisture in my lashes because i’ve been surprised how nice my eyelashes are doing and i’m 72 years old. So i would recommend trying both this mascara and the albolene cleanser which i also bought on amazon.
Update: i realized i forgot a step in my lashes looking long and i want to add this because i know how important ladies eyelashes are, especially as we get older and they get sparse. The part i left out is that i always use an eyelash primer first. That gives you thickness and length without having to goop on a lot of mascara. Here is a link to the one i use and love. i work on one eye at a time. First i put a thin coat of the primer, both upper and lower lashes. Then, immediately follow with the false lash effect mascara, followed immediately by the maybelline water proof mascara. Don’t let it dry in between coats. Usually on the bottom lashes i only use the primer and the maybelline so my bottom lashes look dark but not so full. Only use a thin coat of each product. Ladies, this is the best my eyelashes have looked in a long time. I’ve tried tons of mascara, some expensive brands, but they usually felt clumpy or flakey or heavy or ran under my eyes. This is the trio i will use from now on. No more looking for me. I look good!

This mascara is definitely worth the hype!!! It outperforms many more costly high end products that i’ve tried very easily!!! Great volume and great length! Lasts a long time as well! The only issue i had with this particular product was that it was a bit clumpy… Not sure if i may have received a tube that wasn’t brand new or freshly made or if this is a side effect of the product period.. But i will try it again to test that theory out!!! Overall this product outperformed the more expensive mascaras i usually use on the first try, and i’m hoping the clumpiness may have been due to receiving one that was a bit old… Either way i was happier with the end result of this cheap product than i have been with many expensive ones!!! I use it every day and the clumpiness was reduced by adding a couple drops of water or eye drops to the formula.. And i’ve ordered more to see if this is a problem with every tube or not! I’ll keep my reviews updated but in the meantime i highly recommend this mascara especially for the low price!!! It works great and is worth trying out before investing in a more expensive brand!!

The formula is a little bit flakey, and i guess you could even call it smudgy, but wow!! My eyelashes have never looked longer or better or more voluminous than they do with this mascara. It’s not the easiest to remove (i have to double cleanse, if not triple cleanse), but it’s not waterproof either… Tbd if i’d buy it again (leaning towards no right now, but maybe i’ll adjust?), but i have three tubes of this stuff, so that’s plenty of time to change my mind, not to mention just amazing value.

If i come up with any amazing hacks to make it smudge proof or anything, i’ll definitely update this review.

Update: using this on my lower lashes is pretty much a death sentence… So i’ve started a new habit of using leftover mascaras that i liked, but don’t have much left of on my lower lashes, and this lash princess mascara on my uppers. This has eliminated a lot of the flakes i was dealing with. Stay tuned for more 😉

I have super short eyelashes, so i’m always looking for a life-changing mascara. This one definitely adds length, but gives a kind of spidery-legged look. Later in the day, it feels crunchy and flaky. Even when washing it off, it comes off in chunks which is strange. I find myself using it as a second coat on top of my other mascara. That has been giving me a great affect of thicker, and longer lashes. I might buy it again, but definitely not as my primary mascara. Glad to see it’s cruelty free, i hope that part is true.

I loved this as a lengthening mascara. Not gloopy and did a good job of separating lashes during application, which may also be attributed to the brush, but never tried with a different one. This is not a thickening formula, so if that’s what you want you may want a different product. I only ever used one coat and love it. Only gave 4 stars because it doesn’t wear as great as other mascaras i use. Tends to get tiny pieces flaked off towards the end of the day. Doesn’t smudge, but is not the least bit water resistant. Comes off easily with just water. But still one of my favorite mascaras. Wish there were other color options.

For the price this is a great mascara and honestly i will keep buying it until i find one that exceeds it. I wouldn’t say it’s smudge proof because at the end of the day it looks like i smudged a black crayon under my eyes. It’s easy to remove with the tears of a god … Oh i mean micellar water and it does make my lashes look like the did a few pushups after use. I think if i used one of those whatchamacallits to curl my lashes it might help. Overall definitely try this one!

It’s not bad, especially for the price. But it does the exact same effects on my lashes as my favorite go to mascara, which is l’oreal lash paradise ($10 or so).
It seems to smudge more during application and doesn’t seem like product gets on lashes the first couple swipes.
I’ll probably still try it out here and there since i bought it. But so far i only tried a quick test layer so i can’t say anything about long wear or anything.

This mascara runs with the big ones! For $5, it’s great. I do find it smudges easily (for events or long days, i’m reaching for my other mascaras – you can pry benefit from my cold dead hands) and sometimes takes a bit more to get it all off, but i’ll keep buying it as my everyday mascara! It’s half the price of lash paradise and that alone knocks lp down the list.

I bought this based on the reviews and the price. It’s just a regular mascara to me. It didn’t impress me nor disappoint. It goes on a little thick so be careful when applying. Doesn’t stick to skin (eyelids) as much as other mascara i’ve used and it’s not crusty either which makes it easy to touch up. Based solely on the price, i will purchase again. You can’t find mascara this decent at the store at this price point.

This mascara gives good volume & length & for the price, you prob won’t find another as good. I have a couple of higher end mascaras that lengthen more… But i’d definitely buy this again & also great gift item !
