everydrop by Whirlpool Ice and Water Refrigerator Filter 1, EDR1RXD1, Single-Pack , Purple

I am not too sure about the price considering i have to replace this every 6 months but worth it to use my ice and water in the door! I had completely been ignoring the light in my fridge that said i needed to change my filter. I also had no idea what kind of filter i needed since i bought the fridge new and it came with one. I am happy with this filter and it works really well and i can already taste a difference in the water coming out of the door. I did watch a video to help me know how to install because i could not find the filter….mine was on the bottom of my fridge on the freezer side.

It’s hard to judge a single-point filter. I have tap running straight to my fridge, so the only filter i have on my tap is this filter. The water in my area is also terrible. I have been drinking this water and have yet to get sick, so you can take that for what it is. I have not performed an in-depth mineral analysis, but the water does not achieve the same taste as bottled water. The water definitely tastes a little bit off. I would rather upgrade the filter or add an additional filter before the fridge.

This filter is the exact filter my whirlpool refrigerator/freezer came with. My only complaint is with the actual order page. It says to enter your refrigerator model number in the filters search area and that doesn’t exist. At least i couldn’t find it. I had to go off the manufacturer’s picture and description of the filter to determine if it was the correct one. Thankfully it was. As to ease of install, i believe that has more to do with the manufacturer of your specific item, whether it be a refrigerator or water system, than it does with the actual filter. Mine was quite easy, once i figured out what the owners manual was describing. I do wish they would reduce the cost though. It’s quite small, and while i respect it’s quality, i don’t think it should cost close to $60.00 for such a small filter. Especially when they recommend changing it every 6 months!

This is the only water filter for my kenmore refrigerator that gives me good tasting water. The last set sold by setogleen from amazon were absolutely worthless. I see they are not being carried any more. A good water filter is way to much money in my opinion, but the everydrop is the only one i will buy from now on.

This filter easily snaps in and snaps out of my whirlpool refrigerator. The box has directions. After running the filter to allow water through, no exception , it taste great. Size, shape w/easy install makes this a great find & a necessity for keeping your water clean from most major contaminates. You can do this install yourself.

Easy to install, it came on time and the ice maker works even great. Hungry recommend it.
I usually want something on the budget side but for me this is a quick one time buy.

My water filter was in 1 month and just stopped working!! When i take the filter out water works just fine ! Add the filter and water stop making a a humming sound. Not a cheap filter for it not to work.

Ok if you have a large family ,and they are always getting water , yes. But we are down to 3 ,and we drink bottled water. We use it ,but not real often ,so for $50 + ,i would go a year.

I always keep one on hand. The 1st time i needed one, my refrigerator was leaking badly. Now i know to replace it every six months. It is rather expensive, but there’s no alternative that i know of.

Previous review: popped out and won’t go back in. Have used these before with no problem. This one does not work. Updated review of same filter: called everydrop and came to the conclusion that there probably was air in the line. Make sure filter is in good with door closed then run dispenser for about 5 seconds then off then run another 5 seconds to clear air on the line. What worked for me was that i made sure the water filter was not installed and closed the filter door. Ran water through the dispenser some which may have cleared some air. Then open filter door and put filter back in and made sure it was in securely with filter door closed. Did the run off of 4 gallons or so and no problem.

I’ve only had it for two days so far. First time i’ve had a fridge with a water dispenser so i’ve never dealt with this before. Like most folks, the price was killing me. I looked at a few of the off brand filters, but after reading up on them and factoring the possibilities of fakes or them just not being as good of quality i decided to bite the bullet and go with this one. Plus every stinking fridge filter list has this brand at the top. That being said, i don’t understand the science behind running four gallons of water through a filter before using it. After spending $55 on a filter the last thing i wanted to do was waste a bit of its life by pouring it down the drain. So, in protest i only ran three gallons through…so if i die we’ll know why lol. All jokes aside i do think this makes our life easier…no bottled water everywhere or gallon jugs in the fridge. No constantly filling up a zero water pitcher. I only hope the life span is as advertised…we will see.

According to what i found on whirlpool’s site, this is an approved filter replacement for my fridge. It does what it’s supposed to, can’t add much more than that.

We purchased this to replace the trial size one that came with our new whirpool fridge we purchased. Water taste is not the best, but not the worst either. This filter is very easy to install and use. Filter should last, upon average use for about 40 gallons, which is not much. We supplement this one with our amazon basic pitcher and berkey filter. Still recommend it, though if your tap water is awful tasting. It is better than nothing.

This filter is a little expensive but you should no install generic water filters on your fridge because it will affect the correct funtion of the whole system, for example, the icemaker wont work correctly or the water will be poured way too slow.

Way to expensive

$50 dollars twice a year makes for expensive drinking water. You might want to check if it isn’t cheaper to buy purified bottled water…

One of them so far has to be shaken in the morning for the water to go through!

This filter works fine and is easy to install except that it is located behind a little door at the very bottom front of the refrigerator. I just don’t have nderstand why they are so expensive. Over $100 a year just for water/ice filters is a bit much for those of us on fixed incomes.
