these filters will not cause your a/c to freeze over, that’s low refrigerant (or other mechanical defects).
The arrows point in the correct air flow direction, there is no metal support so the pleats are suspended from the back.
The size of the filter is .25 (1/4) of a inch smaller than what it says. That is so it will fit more housings.
These filters do last 90 days (changer sooner if they get too dirty, duh).
They are not cheaply made as some claim, they are made for air flow witch is good for your central air system. Stop wasting money on a/c filters that are high merv!!! Your a/c and power bill will thank you!!!

I switched to these merv 5 filters over merv 11 and i am so happy i did! My a/c cools the house way way faster now as well as my a/c not staying on long time during cycles. The amount of money i saved this summer (i used less kwh this summer witch was hotter than in 2021, adjusted for the 40% incress in power thanks brandon) more than covered the 6 pack! If you really want a filter to clean your homes air buy a stand alone unit. A/c are not ment to clean the air in your home, they are ment to heat and cool it. The filter is just there to keep your condenser clear and clean.

I’ve. Used these filtrete filters for years. Price is right, quality is good. But the company used to deliver them is woefully inept this time around. I live in a large apartment building that gets amazon deliveries many times a day in large quantity, but it appears that either filtrete or amazon switched to a different carrier and has invited me to contact whomever it is and work delivery issues out. I feel the custiomer’s responsibility is to pay. The seller’s obligation is to deliver – after all, they did manage to charge me. Most of my reviews are positive, but this time i feel entitled to vent.

It’s an air filter, it does it job and it way better for your system than the cheap ones you get from the dollar store. They average out to a little less than $6 per filter ($34.74 when i purchased them).

I had a new ac unit installed in my house last year. Ac tech told me the thicker the filter, the harder your ac has to work. I have asthma, so i want good coverage, but i also want my ac to not have to work three times as hard to pull air through 2 inches of dense filter. So these are perfect. I change once a month and they filter a lot of stuff.

These filters looked great, but they are not designed for my hvac unit. I am sure they perform as expected, though.

These are great filters that work really well at my home and are for a good price.

Air pressure sucks them into the duct. Like to see a sturdier product, seems to filter well.

I’ve been using only 3m ac furnace filters for over 10 years and never had a problem until they changed the size a few years ago. I always bought the 13 13/16 x 19 13/16 x 13/16 inch ones which fit well and snug in my ceiling vent.
Then 3m shrunk the filters down to 13 11/16 x 19 11/16 x 25/32 inches. These smaller ones just drop down and lay on the vent cover … So they are useless like that. Before i purchased these, i checked to see that .81 inch = about 13/16.

Was happy to find them but am sad to see the actual size is the small ones again. Why can’t anybody just put the actual size in the description?! Nowhere on the package does it say .81 inch.

That said i’ve purchased some anti slip tape to try to get these filters to work. I’m hoping this works better than using cardboard shims. 🙁

These filtrete filters always fit correctly.
I bought a cheaper off-brand pkg. Of filters, they were small, not same thickness at all! I bought a 5-pack, i still have 4 sitting in the garage. I plan to recycle them tomorrow morning.

Worth the buy. This filter is the same as the one the apartment community had inside, however, the one i bought on amazon was just a little to big and i had to kind of jam it in to fit. It works though, hope this helps!

We have to change the air filter once a month due to animals. The filters work fine. Good value for the money. I will buy them again

Thought i had purchased the wrong size…until i realized i had been using the wrong size previously and inserting it wrong! It fits perfect and is doing the job!

They fit right, it has a bit of reinforcement on them but honestly these are compatable to the cheap ones at ace hardware or even wal-mart, these are just 3 times the price.

I try and buy this product once a year and i will do it again
