Fiskars Gardening Tools: Bypass Pruning Shears, Sharp Precision-ground Steel Blade, 5/8′ Plant Clippers (91095935J)

After my great experience with these pruners little brother there was no choice when i went looking for something to cut through the late summer tomato branches.

These glided right through. They also did quick work on clumps of grass. My yard is too small for a lawn mower, so i am the guy cutting his grass with a pruner :).

I lost my fiskar bypass pruners. Maybe they’ll show up next spring, but i was lost without them. Had them for at least 15 years, lubricated, sharpened and abused them on occasion. So, i bought the same model to replace them. I looked at the other ones with soft grip handles, etc. I have arthritis in my hands, and have never had a problem with these, so went with tried and true. They didn’t seem like the spring worked well when i first tried them, but i just turned the nut a bit and voila! Perfect. Back to trimming and pruning!

I’m an average gardener, but i do take care of several properties, and my tools get a lot of use. I take good care of them, and expect them to last, and to be good at what they do. I’ve had these for only a week or so, but we’re starting off on good terms. They’re sharp, and comfortable in the hand.

I ordered this clipper one afternoon as mine had just broken. When i looked online it said it could be delivered in a couple of hrs., and came with another clipper. So, i actually ordered it because i needed it quickly which was my goal and i love both of them.

I’ve been buying fiskars for ages and it hasn’t disappointed! I get a lot of use out of each one and love that they are not too expensive to replace when they finally wear out. Easy to hold, easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have 85 roses…use another very popular brand…got these…much better. I’m really impressed with effectiveness and quality…in fact, bought another pair.

I like fiskar products.
They have very good quality as good as any other maker of garden tools and the price is always better.
I have other fiskar products and this is my second clipper. I like the orange color on these tools to make them easy to find if you leave them around the yard or in a gardening basket. However i did manage to lose the first one but i still think it will turn up and all the brush i have thrown into the back of my yard

Great shears for pruning small bushes. Easy to handle.

I always like fiskars products. These pruners are easy for me to hold. I use them for pruning my garden plants. They are sharp and make nice clean cuts. They seem sturdy and are easy to lock, i don’t worry about them coming unlocked to easily, but they are still easy enough for me to maneuver to do a one-handed unlock.

I had a pair that a family member has ruined by oversharpening through the years. They arrived quickly and yes, it locks/unlocks easily. Time will tell how good they are. I have been using them to deadhead flowers, prune forsythia canes, and my roses. I did notice metal shavings flaking off the edge of the larger blade. No shock-absorbing pad, no precision adjustments. They work well for hands equipped with opposable thumbs so i guess they are ergo dynamic. Unless, you were born as a human, but identify as a cat with paws.

Sharp, cuts well. Could be more comfortable to hold. After about 30 minutes of use i had to switch hands due to blisters about to form on my dominant hand.

Having owned a different pair before, i recommend the gonicc 8′ professional premium titanium bypass pruning shears (gpps-1003) over the fiskars ones due to their comfort.

Use these on a regular basis to cleanup stems and small branches in the garden

These are good no frills clippers. They get the job done. The locking mechanism is clunky and the handle is moderately comfortable. These are good for occasional seasonal use, but i might consider something different for more frequent use.

We repeat buying this particular model over the last ten years or so. It has good blades and ergonomic handles. Blade locking needs to be a little stronger. It breaks often.

It does not cut through the entire way. Not effective…

Trimming

It works fine. I need to sharpen the blades but for the most part it’s great. Easy to hold and the locking mechanism is good.
