Finally! A well-made hose!!

With all the hype of garden hoses and deception from manufacturers adding visual features which don’t add to the quality of the hose, it is great to finally find a truly well-made hose!

Flexzilla has made great compressed air hoses for years, and i have used them with high regard. When i saw the garden hose offering, i was hopeful. Well, they delivered on quality!!

So many other manufacturer’s hoses tout their bulky machined ends as being the solution for failing hoses, but look inside the big, impressive-looking coupler, and you will find cheap, thin brass internal ferrule which is what the impressive end pivots on. These wear, crack and lose tension in the crimp, and your hose fails!! Add to that the lack of flexibility, and you are simply buying a pig with lipstick on!!

Oh sure, all the other manufacturers offer a ‘lifetime warranty’, but then you learn that you have to send back the ends, or the entire hose and pay a ‘return fee’ which is nearly the original price of the hose!

These flexzilla hoses are the bomb! Even the wife likes them! Win some waf points men, buy your woman a flexzilla hose, ’cause every woman want a good hose!

I’ve been trying to grow grass this past year and bought multiple types, lengths and brands of hoses.
I will say these have held up better than any other hose.
Let me start by saying the hose is heavy and bulky, but that’s because of the thicker construction of the hose. That’s a small price to pay for a hose that has proven more durable than it’s competitors. I have yet to get a kink in any of my lines.
The durability along with the great pricing makes this a no-brainer.

I needed something that could replace my rotating hose rack’s lead-in to the exterior faucet, but also something that would, separately, reliably serve as a lead-in for my pressure washer unit. Such washer attachments require a minimal amount of durability to handle those pressures, and after 6 uses, this lead-in has performed as hoped, barely any leakage at all (which is easily solved with plumber’s tape).

There’s also a screw-on attachment for male-male vs male-female so you don’t need to worry about additional attachments to connect to most any standard faucet diameter. The lead-in doesn’t kink/coil up, either, so no mega-spurts and air pockets blasting out when in use. Actually picked up an extra one of these for the faucet on the other side of the yard. Nice.

This hose has been used in god’s country to keep fires contained, water our garden and livestock on a 200-foot reel, and has always been left exposed to the sun. I have yet to experience any puncture or tear, and the hose is hi-vis so i never accidentally leave it out. This is simply the only brand of hose i will ever buy. Don’t wait, go ahead and grab yourself the top-shelf hose and never waste money on cheap hoses again.

I’m very happy with this hose because it’s much lighter than my other ones and it doesn’t kink. Those qualities make it easy to maneuver around the yard. It also helps when it’s time to hang it up as it coils nicely around a hose hanger. The connections seem to be good of quality with no leaks. Overall, a big improvement over my old hoses and i would definitely recommend it.

I needed a short hose to replace the one from my spigot to the hose reel since the other one was probably 20 years old and corroded. The flexzilla eliminated the leaks and was really sturdy. Very happy with it! Love the color, too 😉

I have bought a 100ft hose from home depot 3 times in the last 11 years at a average cost of $40. Yes they were cheaper than the flexzilla brand $64 at amazon but in my experience the material they use in those hoses wears and doesn’t last here in florida and kink worse with age. Yes they are lighter in weight than the flexzilla but with the time and effort spent dealing with all of the kinking i will happily deal with the extra weight of the flexzilla which has not kinked on me and may aid in its longevity by appearing to be made of a thicker material. Except when i attempted to unpack it after receiving it by just cutting the plastic straps keeping it coiled up in the shipping box then grabbing one end of the flexzilla and start walking with it to stretch it out to its full length. Boy was that a mistake. This was an absolute 10+ minute nightmare of wrestling with it as i had to unkink it 1 foot at a time as it kept kinking up tighter and stronger than a boa constricter. Being coiled up in a 1 cubic ft. Box for who knows how long after manufacturing i’m sure didn’t help.
. I mentioned this so if you order one be very careful not to just cut the plastic straps grab one end and start pulling thinking you can just pull to extend the hose to its full length. Carefully unwind the hose foot by foot after removing it from the shipping box and cutting the straps which keeps the hose coiled in position. I thought constantly while going through this unpacking the hose nightmare what a mistake i had made buying this hose after reading all the good reviews about it not kinking. I have had the hose for a couple months now, have used it many times and with much relief can tell you that it’s true that it does not kink. Yes it weighs more than my previous hoses but that little extra effort pulling to me is more than worth it to not have to stop and go back and deal with the kinks that can happen at any point in the length of the hose of the other brands i have used. I am also relieved that i didn’t buy the flexzilla hose model that has the ‘swivel ends’ that claim to eliminate kinks at a cost of $35 more than what i paid for the model i bought which has yet to kink on me. (just can’t bear spending $100 on a hose in florida with the heat and humidity that claim so many hoses lives). The only question left is the longevity of the flexzilla i purchased. I will post a update to that question hopefully no sooner than 5 years or more from now.

I have 7 of these hoses in varying lengths around my house and pool, they rock, i only had a problem with one, and they replaced it. I’ve owned many hoses over my life as a home and lifelong boat owner, and these are by far the best.

I needed a short house to connect between a 4 way splitter and soaker hoses in raised vegetable beds. I bought 2 this spring and they worked perfectly all summer. They are still in like-new condition when i put them away for the winter this week.

These are good hoses, currently my go to product for yard use. I like the fact that they are drinking water safe (not that i recommend drinking out of a hose) and i like knowing that my hose is not adding lead to the environment or contaminating my hands or plants. The hose is fairly light weight and does not tangle easily. I believe these hoses will hold up long term.

I own a commercial hose, a zero g hose and this flexzilla hose. The flexzilla hose is a compromise between the commercial hose and the zero g hose. Its much easier to use than the commerrcial hose. Its much lighter to move but it still twists. I think its the best compromise for me. The commercial hose is a pain to use. Very heavy and stiff as a stick. I think it will last forever. The zero g hose is a pleasure to use but very delicate and punctures easily. Also not repairable. The upside to zero g hose is a 5 year no question warranty. The company refunded the money for the hose the next day. Still i am going to use the flexzilla hose as i don’t like water leaks.

Have no intention of drinking out of this hose, but it’s great to add to faucet on basement deep sink. 5 ft length makes it easy to wash large items that don’t fit in sink (e.g., litter pans). Previously had a more traditional, fairly inflexible hose for this purpose, but that one put too much stress on the faucet spout when i maneuvered it.. Put an adapter into the female end that steps down the size so it screws onto faucet perfectly.

I originally purchased this thinking it was a female to female lead in hose. Fortunately, i found a great alternative use for it. I have attached it to the utility sink faucet in the garage and it makes for filling buckets, washing large items, rinsing out the sink much easier. The hose has remain flexible throughout use and has not shown any signs of punctures or leaks. I would recommend this.

I had an issue with my flexilla hose after almost a year. I took it to the flexilla website and was prepared for a hassle but was pleasantly surprised with an understanding and patient customer service rep. Joseph b. He listened to my concerns, gave me some alternatives and made it right. Long story short, shirt happens sometimes. But it’s a companies attitude and the people they employ that get you through. So thanks, joseph and flexilla, you have a happy customer!

It is more pliable than my older garden hose. However it coiled in a strange way the first time i used it because i did not read the directions for removing the air from it.

A good hose that’s well made. It does kink if you are not extremely careful with it. Also, if you have to maneuver around things, it’s difficult to pull because it is rubber than slick material.

I’ve been using mine for two summers. The bright color fades a bit in the sun. Most light weight hoses kink easily, but these don’t. I would buy again, but wish they were available with brass fittings instead of aluminum. The aluminum fittings corrode slightly in brass faucets and nozzles, and i had to use pliers to remove at the end of the season. This year, i put a dab of silicone grease on the threads, which helps a bit.

It says i bought this dec 2018, it’s now july 2022, had my first failure, so not all bad. I included a picture, the factory compression crimped end blew off with no notice while we were out. Came home to a river coming down the driveway and the yard flooded. But this is also a 4 year old hose that sees a lot of use, maybe i’m being nice.
The other picture included just shows how the hose absorbs dirt and grease, the grease came from cleaning the bbq. The hose material is a soft rubber, it doesn’t kink easily or often which is a big improvement over the junk from depot. But it’s ability to absorb or retain dirt is kind of unappealing.
Overall i wanted this hose originally because it’s rated for potable water which made sense over using a plastic or chemical leaching material to provide water for the kids and dogs. But honestly we all grew up drinking hose water out of any old hose and we did fine, so does it really matter, i don’t know.
Good hose, mostly durable, easy to use, rated for potable water, stays pliable and doesn’t kink easily.

This is a solid product, but its very heavy and hard to wind and uncurl.

This hose has lasted longer than any other hose i have used for my watering services. I unreel and reel this 100 ft hose 2 times a day 6 days a week. I have it hooked up to a flo jet pressure pump and i have had no problems with it so far. I would have blown through 2 of the other hoses that i had been using per year by now. These are the best kink resistant hoses i have used and without any kink spot memory. Good fittings. Would like to have a black hose choice instead of the now…. Dirty& scuffed light green.
