The thermometer is based on temperature, and if the forehead temperature exceeds 99.3 degrees fahrenheit, it indicates a fever.

Yes. There are two aaa batteries. And batteries are included in the package.

How is this forehead thermometer turned on?
Just pull the trigger button to turn on the thermometer. The thermometer measures temperature very quickly, aiming at your forehead and pull the trigger and reading it in one second.

T indicates a temperature reading. In forehead mode.

Does this forehead thermometer have a fever alarm function?
I have not had an occasion for my fever to be higher than normal but the instructions say that if it shows a fever of 100.4 – 109.2 f a red light will last for 3 seconds with 5 short beeps warning that you may have a fever.
