I’ve used this on my 2013 nissan sentra instead of the 6607 that is specified. The thread and fit is exactly the same, except this filter is about 3/4 inch longer, which does not interfere with anything. The 7317 (by my guess) has ~50% more filter material than the 6607. This filter is also specified for the nissan titan trucks, if i recall.

Read the recommendation by fram for this ‘extra guard’ filter: ‘for everyday drivers who perform routine maintenance on their vehicle every 3,000-5,000 miles. Extra guard is engineered for use with conventional oil. ‘ do not use these types of conventional oil filters beyond 5,000 miles the filter paper breaks down and flakes off potentially and this could clog up an oil passage in the engine which could lead to engine failure.

Rather be safe than sorry. When buying an oil filter, call advance auto or auto zone etc. Give them year, make, model and engine size. They’ll be able to tell you exactly which one fits. Installing the wrong oil filter might leak out all your motor oil and totally ruin your engine. Hope this helps.
