I have trouble believing you could use this without duiturbing your bedmate, but for solo reading, or for those who need extra light even when room lights are on, this light is perfect. I got the up-graded version, and they really did pay attention to the complaints. It’s very light weight, has only one on-off switch that operates both lights and i’ve had no difficulty with it slipping or changing positions. The light is very bright (even on the lowest setting) and has a wide angle. The good thing about that is that once you have it adjusted for a particular sized book, there is no additional adjustment necessary–the entire open book is illuminated equally, not just one page. Also, since it’s around your neck, it doesn’t add weight to the book. It’s also great for knitting, sewing, beading–any craft that needs extra, concentrated light that keeps your hands free. It does still have a proprietay charger with a very short cord, but it lets you know when it’s charged–there are three dots of light on the back of the neck piece. It comes charged with one dot and when it’s fully charged, all three glow. As it loses its charge, each dot goes out. Oh, and the up-graded model has a 30-minute timer, for people who read before sleep. It’s activated merely by pressing and holding the on button. I think this light is as close to perfect as they come. The only negative is that the instructions are written in such tiny type, they’re hard to read with a magnifying glass and impossible without one.

This is my second one and i love it! I am not sure what the life expectancy of the light is, but i feel
it should have lasted longer. One side of the light works sometimes and but not always. At times it won’t turn on and others it won’t shut off. I had to put it in the nightstand drawer. I have no complaints on how long it stays charged. It’s a great light for reading, manicures etc. I would buy it again and again.

I just received my reading light and it is perfect for nighttime reading which i do daily. It’s lightweight and it’s one size fits all is absolutely great. I purchased a wall charger at the same time and unfortunately it isn’t the right one. Luckily i have a wall charger from an old samsung j7 phone which will do the trick. My only disappointment is that the reading light details don’t point you in the right direction for a wall charger if you need one. However, the rechargeable led neck reading light is 5 stars just the same. It has many uses besides reading, i.e., doing crafts, providing light while searching cabinets, looking at your car engine and probably lots more – all hands free. I couldn’t be happier!

Sometime ago i ordered this as a gift for a good friend. She had so many good things to say about it that i bought one for myself. And now, i have again given this little wonder to another friend who just happens to have multiple eye challenges. He has already chosen how and when he thinks it will be useful. This is ‘early days,’ but it seems to have given him some hope for overcoming some specific complications. It’s light-weight, easy to store, and very portable.

We were in the eye of hurricane ian and lost power, going on a week now. My husband and i used these book lights on our neck as personal “lanterns” to navigate our house, as well as to play cards and read by. Everyone in our family now wants one! We charged them with our battery pack when we slept and they last all our waking hours! So great- no batteries needed and the light can be directed with the flexible arms. Thank you for this great emergency/book light!

I bought this light for doing counted cross stitch and just wish i had bought it sooner. It fits perfectly around my neck and directs the light right where i need it on my needlework. I really like that i am able to adjust the color of the light ( 3 colors) and the intensity of the light. It can also be used for reading but i have not used it for that yet. It came fully charged. It does need the special cord that comes with it to charge it and does not come with the power adapter – but the cord fits into any phone, ipad, etc adapter so that is not a problem.

I had a different neck light that was not very bright and eventually quit working. This one can be super bright! But it also has 3 different light tones, cool, warm, and white light. And each of those have 3 levels of brightness! The adjustment for direction is also really easy and stays exactly where you move it! The only way this neck light could be better was if it was purple… Oh wait! It is!!! Love this!

I have used this multiple times since arrival and it works wonderfully for my craft of counted cross-stitch. I have not yet had a problem with it, and was surprised given the low price. I have a friend who is type one diabetic, is losing his eyesight, and has a history of substance abuse. Lego sets are part of his therapy, and has now over 150 completed sets (not counting the lego figurines). I was so impressed with this product that i bought this product for him so to help him see the lego set pieces easier and to help him see better to read the instruction books that come with lego sets. It breaks my heart that his eyesight is failing to the point to where he struggles with creating lego collections. The next set he would like to get is the lego transformers optimus prime 10302 convertible building set.

I love this light! I can hang it around my neck and forget it’s there as i’m working. It’s lightweight and easy to use. I aim the light right where i need it and it stays put – no constant readjustments necessary. I use it mostly for knitting so having a totally hands-free light is a must. I actually have two of these lights so that when one needs recharging, the other is ready to go. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. It would make a great gift for any hobbyist or reader.

I ordered this in preparation for a storm that would cause a power outage and i’ve clung to it since. I love it so much. The little arms are adjustable for any angle needed and there are three different light colors with multiple brightness options. I go weeks without needing to charge it and when the battery is running low the lights dim a good bit which is a good indicator of a need for charging.

Purchased for my husband to read in bed and for while we are camping. Charged really quickly once it arrived, he’s only used it twice and ends up falling sleep fairly quickly so we haven’t tested it’s battery life. Will update if it’s an issue. It’s lightweight and adjustable, the only think he says is he wishes it had an even dimmer setting because the book he’s reading right now is a fairly tiny print so he’s gotta hold it kinda close to read.

Otherwise he’s super happy to go pee in the woods and not have to hold a light…..because why use a headlamp…..

Awesome for night owl’s who like to read while everybody else want to sleep. Can be quite versatile and used instead of a flash light when you need your hands free. The only negative (which would be common to all similar products i saw) is the back of the neck part is pretty thick, when you read in bed and lean back, it gets a bit annoying after a while even if you lean against a pillow. But works great, there are 3 different light color option (white, yellow, blue-ish), as well as 3 options on each side for light intensity. I love using it.

I use this daily! That says a lot right there. But, read to the last sentence…

Pros: great for
-projects, reading, even just walking around trying to see things better.
-it has 3 different types of light and 3 shades of brightness. You get to pick!
-let’s you bend it right on your subject and stays there!

Cons:
i wish the arms were a little longer
i wish the neck piece was thinner, it is thick
i wish the battery lasted a little longer but it’s pretty great considering

so yes, i love it. But don’t buy it!!
They have made a new version fixing the cons i mentioned! Try that one

I got the lilac purple which i expected to be the bright purple as in the picture, but in real life it’s a much lighter dull purple. Which i was somewhat disappointed about but quickly got over. It charges fairly fast and seems to last awhile. I love all the different light options and brightness settings. Glad i got this and it has helped me enjoy reading paper books so much more.

I really like the functionality of this reading light! However, it only lasted 9 months because the charging receptor on the light is so hard to get the cord in correctly that i eventually damaged the receptor from trying to force the plug into it. It’s super small and the plug only goes in one way and it’s too hard to tell which way so you just have to guess and push hard to get it in and if it’s not the right way, stuff gets bent on both ends. I’m now looking for another light until they fix this situation.

I was afraid this would be uncomfortable on my neck/back, but it’s practically weightless. I can’t attest to battery life because i have only used it for a few minutes to check out the brightness. Love it that the arms are flexible to focus light exactly where i want it.

This is a high-quality product with great options for type of light and degree of brightness. However, it is not lightweight, and while it’s arms are bendable, it still takes up a lot of room when traveling. I like it best for reading in low light situations when i am sitting up. I do not find it comfortable in bed when leaning back, the neck piece is large and uncomfortable.

It’s great for what i need. It’s not as bright as i thought it would be – but it’s good enough. It does slide a little to the right or left while you are using it – that’s a little annoying but still it’s okay for me. The battery lasts quite a long time. I like that you can dim it, if needs be.

I liked the ability to adjust the arms to the pages i was reading. I did find it a bother to keep it centered on my neck, as it tends to slide around.

Great little light with adjustable light beam. I do have discomfort from the back of the neck piece which might not be an issue if i used a normal pillow .
