It no longer has the plastic pinhole insert, but they do now punch a pinhole into the middle of the paper/foil security seal, so that you can remove either a small foil tab that covers the pinhole or tear off the entire top seal. Not as elegant a solution, but the manufacturer saves money.

Great for used books!

I’m an avid reader so to save money i buy a lot of my books secondhand. Usually from amazon or ebay. Sometimes the books come to me as old library books. Sometimes that’s fine if the stickers are on the plastic wrap but sometimes the stickers are on the actual book. As you see from my pictures the goo gone got all of the stickers off the books! No damage to the covers at all! Even got the stickers off of a used paperback book with no damage. Iykyk that trying to get stickers off of paperback books can end up ripping the actual cover of the book. This got it off no problem. The process i used was

1. Put goo gone of paper towel then use the paper towel to wipe the top of the stickers.
2. Let the goo gone sit for a minute
3. Use combination of razor scraper and the scraper that came with the goo gone on stickers
4. Perfect books!

I will definitely be repurchasing when i run out.

Cleans up hard to remove sticky stuff!

I stayed in baltimore over the weekend of the marathon. I parked on a street with dozens of other cars because there were no signs indicating we couldn’t park there. The next morning, all of our cars were gone, and the race was routed through that street. A friendly cop told me it had been moved to another location.

I found my car with a $52 ticket and a nasty sticker attached to my rear window.

I’m happy to report that goo gone removed 99.999% of the adhesive! Now if only goo gone could remove that ticket!

This is what every parent needs with a little one!! Highly recommend it

Easy to use

This product helped me remove heavy duty double sided industrial tape from my walls. I would say be careful it seems like it may possibly be oil based so prior to putting it directly on my wall i put some on paper towel first then rub the paper towel on the wall

Great cleaning product

I’ve been reusing glass bottles this is great to remove the labels. The plastic scraper didn’t hold up too well, but a scrub daddy did the trick.

It works!

I ordered goo gone to remove a parking violation sticker on my car window. This adhesive remover came with a scraper as well. Before ordering the product i removed about half of the sticker with no issue. The other half was stubborn and by the time i ordered goo gone the rest of the sticker had been through the rain and other weather elements. Before applying the product i used the scraper to try to get the remainder of the paper part of the sticker off. With a lot of force, i was able to get the majority of the sticker off, but there was a visible sticky residue left. I applied goo gone to an old tshirt and began rubbing the sticky area. The residue easily came off. After i removed everything i sprayed some windex on the window to help clean it up and it was good as new. I plan on keeping goo gone in my car for future situations.

Terrible smell but does the job well

It removed all adhesive residue from walls and wooden furniture. Knocking off one star for the horrible smell.

Goo-gone vs. Goof-off

It is easy to confuse goo-gone with goof-off. They both sound alike but are very different products. Goof-off comes in a metal container and has a stronger smell. It cuts through most every kind of goo and paint for fast easy removal. However, it can damage certain types of plastics. Goo-gone is a bit more gentle and is my preferred choice for anything plastic. You just have to rub it in slowly and give it a little more time to work. Then, there is the good old wd-40 solvent for removing most any kind of gooey tape residue. Depending upon the composition of the substance, and the material it is stuck to, i like to keep all three of these on hand so i can choose between the strong, mild, and milder choices to work with.

Works well for removing duct tape.

If removing residue from duct tape, apply the product to the area and let it sit for 10 minutes. Remove with hot, soapy water. Repeat if needed. I used it on synthetic leather.
