I’m looking for paper that’s not glossy, and would be good to write on with pencil. Would this paper be that?
This paper is not glossy at all. You can easily write on it with anything, watercolors, a pencil, crayons, etc. I use it to shred into paper strips for paper quilling. And it makes great printer paper too. There is nothing ‘glossy’ about this. It is high quality paper.
I have an hp laserjet, how good pdf with images come out on this paper?
23 lb paper is the second thickest typing paper and works better than the 20 lb when it’s necessary to print on both sides of the sheet. The lighter paper isn’t thick enough and can get jammed when printers pull it up from the tray. It seems to only be available by the case, about 5 reams, but at least then you’ll be well supplied.

We are making a flyer on an inkjet printer at best quality. We need to print on both sides. Would this paper be ok for this purpose?
No. I bought it for the same purpose and there was show-through. I will need to buy heavier paper.

I do not know what a custom chip bag is? If you are talking about making labels with the paper i am sure you can print labels with with the paper.

If you mean glossy as in photo paper-no. It’s just a decent grade of copy paper. It doesn’t bleed through, etc.
Has anyone used this for laser print? What was quality?
We have not used it for laser printing but have found that the paper is superior quality for inkjet printing.

Jul 2019 — when i purchased the paper the description was clear and accurate on the amazon website. I purchased the ‘5 reams per box’ option.
Is the product shipped still marked as ‘inkjet’ for orders of october 2019 or is there a substitution of some other type of hammerhill paper?
Hammermill always stated on the plastic cover exactly what the paper is. Now like most companies the cover might change from year to year but hammermill always prints on the cover exactly the type of paper it contains.
Is this paper made from cotton which soaks up the printer ink faster?
I use this paper in my ink jet printer all the time because the colors don’t bleed through to the other side. This is paper and doesn’t contain and fibers of linen or cotton. It’s a high quality paper and i am pleased with it. I haven’t had a paper jam or any other issues with this paper. In fact, i use it exclusively and it’s a high quality grade and weight.

Is this good paper for printing art?
I would say yes, i have a dell ink jet printer e525w and the paper is very good and the print is perfect even when what i am printing has multiple

Your set up is like mine. I like the paper, and have never figured out what poly wrap meant. I thank it is the actual wrapper of the ream of paper, however other paper companies use a similar wrapper.
Bought this ‘inkjet’ paper by mistake – will it work well in color laser printers?
John, we made the same mistake! However, in crunch time and working late under pressure, there was not much choice. It’s been fine. If you are working with precise images and/or a perfectionist — own the mistake and give the paper to someone who owns a color laser. Otherwise, for most users, they cannot tell the difference….and so far, no paper jams or any other challenges.

Each ream has 500 sheets. If you buy the 5 pk bundle you get 2500 sheets.
I’m looking for printing paper that doesn’t it show through when printed double side ‘at all’. Is this the right product? Or should i go find 28lb?
It depends on what you’re doing and it is more temporary vs keepsake. . For handouts this paper would be good. 28 is much heavier. 28 works good if your using lots of color or is a pattern you want to keep. Hope this helps.
Can i use hammermill acid free copy paper to put in between photos to protect them?
The package i have is not copy paper. It’s multipurpose paper for inkjet and laser printers. Copy paper is usually different in weight and texture. I know that the descriptive headline on the amazon product page for this item does say ‘acid free,’ but i do not see any indication on the actual package i have (and i did read every word) that indicates it’s acid free. For my genealogy materials, i never use any paper that does not clearly state it is ‘acid free.’ i would be comfortable using an acid free copy paper against photos, but, as i said, i don’t see anything on the package itself that verifies this particular paper is acid free.

Hi. This paper produces a clean print whether you have laser or inkjet. A shiny or glossy print would be best on “hammermill paper, premium laser gloss paper“ and it comes in multiple weights 28lb and 32lb is most common weights.
Why is the inkjet-only paper more expensive than the paper that is for both inkjet & laser?
