Herd Mentality: The Udderly Hilarious Party Game | Fun for The Whole Family

Played this game with 4 of my grandson’s, along with wife, so a total of 6 players. Which brings up the first thing i like about this game, you can play it with up to 20 people.

The grandsons are 13, 10, 10, 10 (triplets). The game could be played by kids younger than 10, though the 4 year brother was a little too young to answer some of the questions so he watched cartoons instead. The boys favorite part was ‘mooing’ when someone took too long to answer.

What made this game interesting to me was that you are looking for an answer that matches the other’s answers. Games similar to this, you are looking for a unique answer. I had to fight against the temptation to come up with a unique answer. This was challenging to some degree when you are playing against triplets who basically know what the other is thinking and you are trying to figure out what you think they will say.

The game is easy to set up, plays quickly, everyone is involved all the time so not waiting on someone to take their turn. As mentioned above, you get to moo at other players if they take too long to answer. The boys answered quickly because they wanted to moo at someone. Note, that you do need to make sure the mooing doesn’t get out of hand.

The best recommendation i can give for the game was the boys talked their parents into buying the game for christmas after we had played it so clearly, they liked it.

Purchased this as a christmas gift for my family – we have played it so often we’ve already gone through one side of the cards. Adults and children (10+) enjoy it a lot. Great variety of questions and easy to learn. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a fun game to play – each game only takes about 20 minutes so you can play as short or as long as you like. Hope the company comes out with some more companion cards to add to the questions. A great buy.

This game was so much fun! Played it with my parents and all of my siblings and their significant others. We added a few house rules (one of which was whoever got the pink cow had to get on all fours on the table and moo) it was hilarious and we all had a blast! 10/10 would recommend!

My son asked for this game and it was great – we started playing it without him. It is a quick game so you don’t get stuck playing ‘forever’ but you will play it over and over again. It is straightforward, easy to learn, people can jump in and play easily and you can play with 3 people or 8 so no matter the crowd, it is fun.

This game is fun! It took a few rounds to figure it out.. And my gosh when you don’t know how to read the table it really messes you up lol. It can be fun for all ages really, kids just might need a little help coming up with words on harder topics.

My daughter got this for christmas and we’ve played it as a family, at a party, and at a church get together. It works for all ages! It’s easy and fast moving so people don’t lose interest.

Love this game!!! Super fun to play with people you know well and can laugh with. Might not go over so well with people you know less well as most of the fun is laughing at the crazy answers people tend to come up with.

I got this as a gift for my brother and his wife. They love it. It’s easy to do, and fun to try out your best poker face. My favorite part is trying to convince everyone someone else is the chameleon when it’s you.

The game was really easy to play. Super addictive! I especially like how fast a game can go with a smaller amount of people. It like a get to know you game, very interesting at times! I highly suggest!

When i first read the directions, i thought the game seemed too basic, maybe even lame. Turns out, this game was the highlight of our family get-together. We played with about a dozen people from ages 15 to 82. It was fun for everyone from the recent college grads to those who barely finished high school. We laughed so hard we snorted and fought tooth and nail to avoid the silly cow. I had to buy a second box so family members would have their own.

The good: the game is ultimately very fun.

The bad: the game’s box lists the contents as: “56 cards, 1 six-sided die, 1 eight-sided die, 1 marker, 1 custom card, 1 custom card, 1 instruction sheet”. The box is missing the second custom card. And, the inner packaging could be improved as my instruction sheet and one custom card are damaged due to insufficient packaging.

There were indeed 56 total cards, but there are not 1 custom card and 1 other custom card as the box lists.

The inner components of the box (that would hold the cards, dice, etc). Are flimsy cardboard so they don’t hold together firmly. So, i ended up recycling those right away and repackaging the parts. The construction and packaging ended up allowing the one custom card and instruction sheet to slip over and into and around the size of the box, causing them to fold over, creating creases i cannot remove even after flattening them out.

Final verdict: i have played the game before and i know how fun it is. Adding the listed second custom card would be easy to fix. And the inner packaging could just skip the flimsy cardboard holders completely (they are destined for the recycling anyway) and instead package the cards in a paper envelope/ paper pouch that is held securely under puffy packing material. This would probably be just as or more environmentally friendly, and would prevent the cards from nearly sliding out of the box and being folded or otherwise damaged. Cheers!

Love big potato games, but this one is probably my least liked one. It’s just too hard to play well with large groups which i what we got it for. The max number of players is supposed to be 8, but i don’t think it’s good with any more than 5.
It was still fun to argue with the fam though

My daughter in law asked for this game. I had not heard about it but got it for her. We opened it on christmas and played for a couple of hours. 6 of us played it and we all had a good time. I will gladly play it again!

Gave this game to my adult son at christmas and the whole family enjoyed playing.

Simple game, doesn’t involve much and doesn’t last forever

Played with my 2 sisters and giggled til we were in tears since i’m a terrible poker face and kept getting that damn chameleon card! We know each so well, it was very easy to guess who the chameleon was. Might be best for larger groups, but we thought it was hilarious if not for the intended reason. And isn’t that what game night is all about?

I would give it 5 stars but our box was missing the chameleon card for the blue topics so we can only play green.

Great game, easy to learn and fun to play. I gave it four stars because this seller( the potato shop) places the shipping label directly on the game box which defaces the box.

We got this for my child’s birthday (age 13). Reading the description, i was skeptical. And reading the instructions once we got it, i was still a little skeptical. But it turned out to be surprisingly fun.

The premise is simple: all players, except for the ‘chameleon’, know the secret word chosen from a visible possible words list. Those in the know try to suggest clues by word association – something vague enough so as not to give it away to the chameleon without getting so vague as to be suspected as the chameleon. The chameleon tries to figure out the secret word from these clues and offers their own without sounding off-base. After each round, everyone votes who they think is the chameleon. If properly identified, the chameleon has one chance to come out with a few points: identify the secret word.

In practice, the secret word cards follow a similar theme, making it more possible for the chameleon to blend in. Sometimes, the chameleon ends up going early in the rotation, and some really funny clues get proffered. Other times, rounds can be quite hard. So there is a lot of variety, and people sometimes suggest comical clues. Rounds can be quite quick, and they can be quite rewarding.

You can even create your own topic cards wth a supplied wipe-board and dry-erase pen.

All-in-all, i would recommend the game. It’s great for a mix of teenagers and adults.

We seriously enjoy this game. A lot of good family fun. The pig’s leg broke off during game #1 so that’s kind of a bummer.
