Looking for specific info?

I currently have the 32 oz one and i love it. I’m wanting to get a 22oz. Is the 22 oz thinner than the 32 oz so it will fit in a cup holder?

Hello,
yes, the 22 oz fits cup holders. Dimension details are shown in the pictures on our page.
Thank you for your interest!

Are the lids and straws made of plastic and if so, are they bpa free/non toxic?

Hello,

all our products are 100% bpa free. Thank you for your interest!

Si pongo de cabeza la botella se derrama el liquido?

Hola, si la botella está cerrada no derrama, es bien segura.

Are there ironflask replacement lids?

I ordered a 18 oz. Bottle that was suppose to have straws and appropriate lid that holds straws. You sent me wrong bottle and i sent it back. They sent me another one and it was wrong again. Why can’t you just mail me the right lid with straws. Susie joyce

I literally just recieved mine. It looks great other than the clip part on the straw cover was broken. Can you please send me a new one?

Hello,
we are sorry to hear about your lid. This is definitely not supposed to happen! Please email our team through amazon so we could send you a free replacement right away.

Can you put this in the freezer?

I put mine in the freezer sans top and straw for only 3-4hrs max. Just to barely freeze the water.

When will the white 32 ounce be in stock again?

Hello,
we are working to have all our sizes/colors back within the next 10-12 days.
Thank you for choosing the iron flask!

Where is the bottle made?

Made in china

The lids in the promo video and the lids shown in the size chart don’t look the same. Does the spout lid come with a loop to carry w/ your finger?

Hi there! The lids that come with your flask will be what is shown in the images and product details. We do offer different lid selections to come with your flask, which can be found by shopping our catalog through our storefront.

Why if stainless steel is this product not dishwasher safe?

I believe it’s because of the threads in the lid. If not perfectly aligned when you go to screw iti into the bottle itself it will leak. Dishwashers usually shrink plastic. I soaked my lid in hot water. Now when i put it on it leaks a little. Keeps drinks very cold tho. Hope this helps!

Is the straw re-usable?

Yes, i run the straw through the dishwasher often and stays as new. I’m guessing the second straw is just for backup.

Can you fit your hand through it to clean it?

I have an average sized hand, and i cannot fit my hand in it. I use a brush to clean it.

Does anyone have a link for a replacement straw? I lost one and the dog chewed up the other one.

We dont have individual straws but you can find our straws and straw lids by going here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/ef193445-63c7-46a4-b0c3-26ce6513aa01

What is the diameter of the 32oz bottle?

Hello,
the bottom base is approximately 3.5′ in width. This does not fit the standard cup holder. Thank you for your interest!

I really need the 64oz silicone boot! Where can i get it? When will it be available?

It’s not available right now

Is the mouth piece rubber?

No, it’s a hard plastic.

Is the straw and lid bra free?

Yes, it is part of the lid assembly.

Are any of the finishes/colorways glossy/smooth or are they all matte/textured?

The degraded color ones are matte finish and the marble ones are glossy smooth.

Do these have a coating over the stainless similar to yeti to avoid sweating??

They have a coating and do not sweat. I do not know if it is identical to a yeti but it feels the same. I have been using two of them for a couple of months now to hold water + ice cubes and no condensation on either of them at any time.

Was my cup supposed to come with straws and straw lid?

Hello, i just ordered 2 bottles (love them) and one arrived just fine. The other one doesn’t have a straw lid. How can i go about getting the right lid?

Affordable alternative to hydro and yeti

Don’t write many reviews, but just bought my 4th ironflask, so feel it’s time.
Have owned this product for almost a year now and can honestly say it’s one of the best water bottles i’ve ever owned. It holds up well to average temperatures, keeping colds cold and hots hot. Everyone in my family now uses these to use on a daily basis.
In my experience, the ironflask is just as well insulated as the hydroflask, at least for what we use them for (lunches & hikes) the coating and color options for the ironflask are exponentially more varied and beautiful than the hydroflask. More importantly, the iron flask coating holds up much better in the dishwasher! Comparing two bottles from each purchased at the same time, the ironflask is a little beat up, but the hydro coating is actually flashing off in big pieces. Add to that the 20-25% difference, and i choose the ironflask.
Obvious comparison with a yeti is quite different, but i don’t need yeti strength insulation on a daily or even weekly basis, so i save my yeti for camping and hot days on the beach.
Iron flask also provides 3 tops with each bottle. I love this! Each of my family has a different top preference, so we can tell them apart; and they’re all interchangeable with hydro lids/bottles. The kids are not as polished as the hydro lids, but i can’t tell the difference while drinking from them.

Iron flask family's excellent reputation earned!

Drinking water at an unusual rate requires a container that will not impede the flow. After searching for the ultimate cold water container that could keep the water cold for a long time, could survive my husband and me, and have a solid spout/straw and hold more than a few ounces.
12/2019:
we bought :64 oz (2), 22 oz (2) for the cup holder dilemma. Constantly used and often encountering life events. Outdoor enthusiasts don’t have a monopoly on stress testing, try being clumsy and inattentive. Yes, dear readers, these have survived an entire family with serious adhd and one person who is a sagittarius with 50+ years experience. We’ve been the undoing of many ‘indestructible ‘ products, and a lot of destructible ones as well.
12/2020:
since the previous products survived and didn’t require any creative repairs that are common and a part of life, then the purchase of: 16 oz and 14oz tumblers for coffee and espresso respectively.
Interesting discovery: 16 oz coffee or espresso is emptied in about 10 minutes without realization, only issue is that you have to remove the lid to get the last sip or expect it to spill the rest onto any available important item within a 2 ft /.85(?)m. An education on awareness and the ballistic and physics of the contents is a free bonus with the tumblers . The manufacturer’s engineers did a commendable job designing a cup that lets you see the quantity left without removing the lid, a pressure opening that doesn’t get blocked by your nose while inhaling your beverage or well-mannered sipping.
That brings up the characteristic that you can feel the temperature of the contents before bolting down coffee-flavored molten rock threatening the future of your tongue. You can avoid the dreaded fresh pizza effect.
Additionally, the thermal maintenance is not at the same level as a sealed thermal container, but it does buy you more time to get a sip while the temperature is good…
We have used the 64 oz daily, bring them with us everywhere and thoroughly sanitized them since 2019. Only issue we’ve faced that i can’t fix is the spring on the handle on both of our lids. This has, in no way affected the function of the container . The product line is still a 5 star purchase, in my opinion.
P.s.- the claim about the ice lasting until the next day was proven true.

Super cold

Update…
So after dealing with my heart break i finally have decided to come and let you all know that the beloved ice did melt after almost 4days. It will be greatly missed. But i must also add that during this time (just over a week) of owning this flask it has been drop out of my semi truck on multiple occasions (not intentionally) yet this suckered still doesn’t leak. Surprisingly even the lid has held up which i us the spout one with the straw and clip handle. How this thing hasnt broke from a repead 5ft+ drop is just amazing. I have managed to dent the bottom rim but even that is barely dented. This suckered is insane. It has become my new go to. I went from drinking 3-4 large sodas a day to now only drinking maybe half a large soda in the entire time i’ve had the flask. This thing has been a life saver.

Original review: so i had been hesitant to order a bottle for my truckfor a while as i was worried it wouldn’t stay cols and stopping for ice regularly isn’t ideal. But holy freaking cow this suckered keeps ice for days. I filled it with ice then added water, in 24hrs it barely melted 1/4 of the ice. Going to see how many days it takes to melt it all. With full ice in it it can hold just under a qt of water (64oz flask). It is fridged cold. Spout works great with the straw so i don’t have to tilt it to drink while driving and the little handle is perfect to grab with out needing to take my eyes off the road. I am in love with this and it is drastically helping me to drink more water and avoid soda. I ordered the carry bag today so i can hang it from my arm rest for easier access when driving and u have a feeling that will make the ice last even longer. Definitely one of the best investments if you are trying to drink more water. I also love that the handle has a clip on it which is awesome if you want to hang the flash off something. Downside is it won’t fit into my truck cup holder which is surprising since they are much bigger then cars but this flask is so well built that it hasn’t tiped over yet. Oh and the leak proof thing works really well too. Definitely recommend this to anyone that likes super cold drinks and doesnt want the ice to melt easily. I would guess it keeps stuff hotdogs a long time too but ionly intend to use it for water.

Best waterbottle for those who don’t like to drink water!!

I am just gonna be honest with you- i don’t like drinking water. I don’t hate it or anything, but it’s not my go-to because if i were to buy something from the store, i’d just buy a soda or a juice.

I am now on a weight loss journey- and to start, i’m drinking nothing but water or water with mio flavoring. Well, time to get a water bottle- aw, but hydroflasks are so expensive, and the waterbottles from walmart are ugly. Well, i take to amazon, and i find this baby. I absolutely fell in love with the colors, it’s just the right size (32 ounces) and it came with three lids and it’s bpa free!! I ordered it, it came in very quickly, and i have used it every day since i’ve had it, and i have met my water drinking goal easily!! When something is so easy to carry around and the colors speak to your personality, it’s easier for it to just fit into your life. This is what i found with my iron flask. I love it!!

Perfect at home bottle

I love how versatile this water bottle is and i find myself drinking way more water that i did before. This bottle is definitely not the type you want to carry with you if you are an on-the-go person because when you fill it with 64oz, it is pretty heavy, as to be expected. This product provides great value without sacrificing quality by any means. Yes there maybe cheaper options out there, how many include three lids and two straws and a straw cleaner! Not to mention how awesome the design looks! I will say that the straw lid handle is a bit too small for my large hands so i bought the paracord handle and that pretty much solve my issue. Other than that its such an awesome bottle and i can’t wait to take this camping sometime!

Great jug

It arrived looking just as vibrant as the picture descriptions and i’ve dropped it three times (what broke my other cups i bought from different sources). It has yet to show any signs of damage. It’s really easy to clean of you have some sort of scrub brush, i went to the local dollar general and got a baby bottle cleaner and that does the trick. It doesn’t muck up from not washing for a few days to a week, yes that matters when you don’t drink the full 64oz in one single day. I’ve put ice in there and it stayed cold for 2 days straight, which is the longest anything has lasted in there for me cause i drink it all within 1-2 days. The only issue i have with this jug is that when i first got it, it would leak from the straw bit which would make everything sticky from the tea i had in it. I think it was cause i over filled it, though. Now, i make sure to leave at least a inch worth of air in the jug and it hasn’t leaked anymore.

Not bad for the price

So, my hydroflask got stolen at my work place. I was looking for something cheaper since i didn’t want to invest in another hydro and have it stolen again. I decided to get this flask and i would recommend it. It does not keep your drinks as cold as a hydro would, but for the price it is not bad at all. If you’re looking for a summer water bottle that’ll withstand direct heat and stay cold for very long, i’d recommend a hydroflask. But this worked perfectly for me as temperatures are heading down where i live. Plus it’s much easier to drink from and hold, has more attachments and looks very sleek. I would just recommend getting a rubber boot to protect it from dents and scratches as it is more fragile than a hydroflask.

I'm a water chugger.

I am an avid water bottle user. I mean that my bottle never leaves my side. I have a bottle with me morning, noon and night. I refill it at least 10 times a day. I have it on my bedside table. I am thirsty. All the time. I have been using contigo bottles for many years for this purpose, and while contigo wins in a few ways, iron flask wins in others. I wanted to start using stainless steel, double walled bottles after just getting fed up with the nonstop condensation, and while i’ll drink water basically any temperature, there is nothing like ice cold water. Hold on while i take a chug right now……………….

I’ve used this bottle (plus it’s sibling that i ordered 2 days later because i was instantly obsessed) for 2 months. I really wanted to get my time in to have a good idea of what to write, to know a little about the longevity of it.

The packaging was neat, the boxes match the bottle color scheme. Open the box and it had the 3 tops, 2 straws and the bottle. At the bottom, a card reminder to sign up for the warranty and a sticker! The bottle has a nice paint job, not a flaw on either of them. The color has held up this far, and while i don’t try to throw this bottle as hard as possible on rocks and concrete for fun, i have knocked it over, smacked it into things and still have no scuffs or dents. Invest in an iron flask rubbery bottom thing. It is a useful tool.

I have zero leaks. This bottle gets rolled around a lot because it gets knocked over. No leaks. I have tried to get it to leak. No leaks.

My ice stays icy. For a long time. Fill it up at night, chug it through the night, refill it in the morning with the same ice. Drink that. Still have ice, maybe top if off with more ice. But i have never had room temperature water in this bottle.

Cleaning this bottle takes no effort, if you don’t already have bottle brushes, get some but washing this bottle takes zero time at all.

Stainless steel is superior to my plastic contigo bottles. In every way. The only thing i miss from my contigos is the mouthpiece for the straw; they are rubbery and don’t smack my teeth, as i have done with the iron flask because i was so used to the other, and the contigo folds in and it closes a little door thing over the mouthpiece, whereas the iron flask is just out in the open. Also, contigo bottles are plain and boring so i could put stickers on it, these bottles are too pretty. Now i have to wait however long for the paint to start chipping and getting ugly to use stickers.

Best thermos ever.

So i filled this 40 oz thermos with cold water, ice cubes, and a packet of electrolytes last night at 6pm. I took it to a 3 hour dance and swigged from it frequently. Must have drunk about half the water. Brought it home and left on the kitchen table overnight. At 10am today, sixteen hours later, i poured it out to discover it was still ice cold with a bunch of ice cubes that had not yet melted! How is this possible with a thermos that seems to have thin walls???? Amazing!!
This cool green color is refreshing and modern. Love the clip and tops etc. I did buy the (black) paracord strap accessory sold by the same company, and that really adds more usefulness- i highly recommend getting the strap which makes it so much easier to carry. I’m also able to clip on my purell travel bottle and other outing necessities.
Fantastic product, well worth it!

Amazing water bottle

I bought this a few weeks ago and it was one of my best investments. No leaks, no dents (it fell a few times), and super easy to clean. Durable and it keeps your water super cold even after leaving it in africa-style weather of 100+ degrees inside the car (i live in florida). Too bad i left it one time at the gym and went back for it but nobody found it. Somebody probably stole it cause they saw how rad this bottle was. I’m not even mad. They’re losers.

Love this bottle; wish it didn't leak on its side

I bought this bottle because i wanted a larger bottle that i would only need to fill up twice a day to get as many ounces of water as was my goal. I definitely got it in this bottle. I love this thing, and got a parachord handle to go with it, so when i go for walks or go to outdoor events it’s perfect to take with me. I’ve dropped it more than a few times and while the paint will chip, it still holds up. What’s a stainless steel water bottle without a few dings, anyway? It gives it character.

However, i’ve learned that 32 oz is a little too beefy for me. First, it’s a metal water bottle that holds water. It’s going to be heavy, and heavy when you bring it up to your mouth to drink. But be warned: don’t drop this on your feet. It’s going to hurt and you’re liable to break something. Second, with how big it is, it doesn’t fit in my cup holder in my car, and struggles to fit in any backpack bottle holder. Third, it will leak. Even before i dropped it it leaked if it was laying sideways, so when i use it and take it in my car, i’m careful to never let it lay sideways.

All that being said, it’s sturdy and keeps my water cold. I’d never heard of iron flask as a brand before this bottle but it’s made me a loyal customer. And with it being easy to clean, it’s fantastic. The bottle itself feels smooth but is easy to grip (i have small hands, but it’s not slipping around in my hand). I have a camelback bottle that has a similar paint, but it’s more coarse and with my touch-sensitivity issues, i’ve had to get used to that. It made me appreciate my iron flask all the more because there was never that issue.

I’m going to purchase a 24 oz iron flask so i can carry it in my cupholders in my car. I’m not one to follow brands, and the ‘hype’ hydroflask puts me off simply because it’s so ‘everywhere’. I’ll stick to my iron flasks, thank you very much. Thank you for making a reliable product! Just please fix the leak issue.

My thoughts after 15 months of use

Everything came well-packaged and the bottle itself is very pretty (i purchased the 40oz bottle in terrazo print). Initially, i wasn’t sure how well the bottle would function because it is significantly lighter than my other bottles (hydroflask, yeti, corksicle… I have them all. Don’t judge me.). After using this bottle for 15 months, here are some of my thoughts:

insulation: surprisingly good for a bottle with such thin walls. Keeps my water cold for much of the day – i’d say about 8-10 hours depending on the ambient temperature. I went a road trip and my bottle was in direct/indirect sun for ~9 hours and at the end of the drive the water was cool, but definitely not cold. I’d give it 3.5 stars.

Print: i’ve hand washed this bottle several times per week for over 15 months, and the colors still look just as good as they did the day i got it. 5 strong stars.

Accessories: the carabiner section of the straw lid snapped on me yesterday, which should be reasonable given how long i’ve had it, but i’m still annoyed because i’ve been super gentle on the bottle and have never actually hung it on anything. It did come with other lids though, so i guess there’s that. 4 stars.

Overall – the price point is so much lower than other popular insulated bottles, i think the minor inconveniences are worth it.

Excellent quality for the price

This particular i have decided to review has lasted 1.5 years, keep in mind it belongs to my almost 15 year old son, it has gotten a ton of use playing sports (track, baseball, flag football, cross country) and was used as his water bottle in school, so it has been all over, the straw lid won’t stay down now, not a big deal because the bottle is also pretty beat up, time for a new one. We live in the pnw, summers have gotten warmer here, winters are quite mild (rainy) but the bottle keeps things cold for a very long time! We ended up with many of these bottles, our two youngest kids have smaller ones for school, i have a 20oz for me and my oldest child got a big one for soccer, she left her brand name on a soccer field a couple of years ago, it disappeared, got this instead of replacing the the more expensive brand out there, she says “…this one works just as well…”.

I like it!

So i’ve had this water bottle little over 3 months, it’s very pretty and durable. If i fill up too close to the rim it does tend to leak. But as long as you don’t fill it too close you should be alright. I do like the fact it comes with 3 different types of lids. I don’t know how the other two work due to preferring the straw lid more. It does keep the water cold for a very long time. If you don’t have water in it, the ice will still be there after 24 hours so that’s pretty cool. The straw lid does have a clicker? Where you can have your keys hang of there or put it on your gym bag which is pretty cool too. If you’re thinking about getting this water bottle, you should.

Keeping it cold

My only complaint is color. Don’t purchase the kiwi green if you’re hoping for a vibrant and very noticeable neon green. What i received was disappointing. It’s was more of a boring, matte, iguana green. Nonetheless, i kept it because i wanted to try it out and needed one right away. Filled it up with ice and was ready to go. 48hrs later, water was still cold, but all the ice had melted. I use the straw for the majority of my drinking and i’ve not had any problems with it. It may not leak from the gasket if tipped over, but definitely leaks from straw spout. Really easy to clean if you have a bottle brush and straw brush. And the bonus was the three options of lids that it came with. A small clip is built into lid of the straw one, while the others are just basic. I’ll likely purchase another one in the future, but i’ll be a little picky on my color choices and return it if it’s not up to my liking next time. Overall, it’s a good tumbler though.

Good water bottle but came with water inside it

This bottle is great and it’s easy to drink from and everything! My one complaint is that when i received it, it had a dent in it and there were black marks on it, there was also some water in it. I cleaned it thoroughly and i’m pleased with it now but i wish i would’ve known that it was pre-owned. It also didn’t come with the box pictured in the photo, it was just in the amazon box with the two other lids and the straw thrown in there.

Lasted over a year so we bought the bigger size

I got one of these for each of my kids. While they may look a little banged up on the bottom edges, they don’t leak and still work after over a year of heavy use (and abuse!) my kids have dropped these, thrown them, left them in their backpack for 3 days, and even run them through the dishwasher without realizing they weren’t supposed to. In the end they all still work perfectly. So when my daughter said she didn’t have enough water during the day, it was a no-brainer to simply order the next size. In my opinion these are worth the money. However, i took off one star because i don’t like how they cannot go through the dishwasher.

4Expert Score
Good water bottle

This is a good water bottle, keeps my water cold over 24 hours, even in the heat and humidity. It doesn’t sweat and is easy to hold. The colors are so fun too. The only reason i have 4 stars is because i have only used it for about 3 weeks and there are places where the color is coming off, like it was scratched. It’s not horrible, but just bummed that the colors aren’t more protected by a clear coat or something. Other than that, it’s exactly as described and i would buy another one!!!

Nice water bottle-doesn't keep ice

I wanted to love this water bottle. I have a hydra-peak and love it but it is too big for the cup holders in my car so it’s always rolling around and not easy to grab while driving. So i went on the search for a water bottle that would fit in my cup holders and i found this beautiful cup. I even ordered one for my son so it would fit in his car seat cup holder so he could take it to camp. Unfortunately this cup does not keep things cold for long. I can fill this cup to the brim with ice and then add water but by the end of the day, there is no ice left. My other cup can keep ice for days. I still carry this cup because of its size but i really wish it was more insulated to keep ice at least all day long.

4Expert Score
It's ok. But missed the mark in some areas

***update***

i finally had enough and switched the straw cap to the solid cap. Went to take a drink this morning and noticed something black floating in it. The cap was flaking. Threw it out. Drink at own risk.

I have gone through a decent amount of bottles looking for the ‘perfect’ gym bottle and i can say after using this for a few months that i’m still looking for it. So let’s get into it:

bottle: the body of the bottle is phenomenal. Rugged, hard, great powder-coat feel that doesn’t feel like it’ll slip out of your hand. No plastic feel to it. Just cold metal. Holds cold temp very well (haven’t tried anything hot). No sweat on the outside no matter how much ice i put in it. It’s been dropped a few times but the coating has yet to flake or crack which is also a plus.

Tops: i’ve only cared for one top and that the one with the drinking straw. Bottom line; it’s ok. Does it deliver the liquid? Yes and no. You can take a drink, a drink and another drink. The fourth time you go to take a drink it feels like you’re trying to drink a wendy’s frosty (you know what i mean). Somehow this thing created a vapor lock and no matter how hard you pull you can’t get a drink. I have to unscrew the top, take a drink and hope it fixed itself. 50/50 if it works or not.

The straw: it’s a straight one with no slant cut or extended bend so if you’re one of those that likes to tip back the bottle as you drink you’ll be sucking air depending on how much water is left. A little annoying since we don’t drink water like giraffes.

Lastly: one more thing about bottle body. It’s heavy, has some good weight to it. Good for being stable on a table bad if you’re trying to judge how much water you have left. I find many times i grab the bottle thinking it’s got a good amount in it only to find in 2-3 sips i’m sucking air. Yeah my fault for not checking but after years of using water bottles the weight of it usually tells me how much is left.

If this bottle didn’t give me drinking problems (vapor locking) i would give it a 5 star even with the other gripes because those are just from my shortcomings. It could just be my bottle but that’s the only one i have to review so i have to put it in there.
