I have tried two very expensive docks and both failed to work properly with the steam deck. This was my hail mary so to speak and i am so glad it seems to be working perfectly! The stand portion of the dock is sturdy and feel well built. It has non-slip pads on the bottom that do exactly as you’d expect them to. It also has a non-slip pad where the dock rests which seems like it could also add an anti scratch aspect to it. I have a silicone cover on my deck and i have no issues placing it in the dock.
Now for the good parts, the usb-c l bend cable. It just works and feels well built.
I would have preferred if it could be un-plugged from the dock to protect it better, but it ain’t a major issues.
The ports on the dock are snug and perform as promised.
It is light weight making it good for travel and seem rugged enough to be bounced around without damaging. (usb-c cable being the only concern that it could be bent and possibly smashed/damaged.)
the dock doesn’t block the breathing vent on the back of the system.

A major bonus is that the dock can use the steam decks power cord and seems to work without fault. I am not sure how much overhead that leaves for power demanding usb devices, but for self powered or low power pluggables it seems fantastic. Things like regular usb drives have no issue plugging and playing.

Overall i am extremely glad i found this dock and even more glad it isn’t insanely expensive.
My 300 dollar dock that does everything you could ever ask for didn’t like the steam deck and i doubt it ever will. So for a 40 dollar fix sign me up!

It’s a dock, and it works great! Not much else to say other than that i’ve been using it now in my gaming room to play my steam deck on a 42′ panasonic plasma, as well as with an epson laser projector. Everything works great and i love how sturdy and heavy this dock feels compared to a cheaper plastic one that i bought to use in my basement (on an led projector that’s setup so i can play games while riding my exercise bike). The steam deck feels like it would be easy to tip over on the cheaper dock, but this jsaux dock feels like it wouldn’t tip over even during a seismic event! I may replace the cheaper dock with another one of these if the official dock keeps getting delayed…

Bought this to be able to play my deck on my projector. Had previsouly tried streaming from my pc to the deck and using a usb-c to hdmi converter and the audio was very choppy and laggy. I figured it might have needed ethernet connection to improve. So i bought this dock since it was a good price and had all the necessary connections. Just to try it, when it came in i plugged in my deck and the hdmi and tried streaming over wi-fi: worked flawlessly. Either way, very happy with the purchase.

I was using a less expensive dock from yigorn and it gave me all kinds of quirky video issues. The second screen overlapped with the steam screen halfway, so dragging windows over to another screen was a pita. It also looks more crisp, and i attribute that to the refresh rate difference. 30hz to 60hz.

I now also have a lan port to hardware the steamdeck to my network, which got my ordering a cat8 100′ cable. So excited!

Ordering via amazon seems way better than ordering from jsaux’s website, since the shipping time and return policy is handled via amazon instead of jsaux themselves. Just my opinion.

The dock works as it should. With my deck resting on it, it holds solid and all ports have worked the way they were designed too. Haven’t had a chance to test the ethernet port yet. If your using for the hdmi for the first time just remember to set your tv/monitor as primary display in the desktop mode.

Does what it says it does without any issues and does it well. Displays steam deck game system picture to lcd or tv screen. Sounds great, plays great. Pictures goes up on screen nice clean and quick. Picture stays on screen with no input lag thanks to 4k @ 60hz! Fast charges well! I love it and highly recommend it to gamers that want to play steam deck on a screen from time to time. It also works nicely as a fast charge dock ready to take off the stand and play for quick burst handheld mode action. Just unplug the hdmi cable and acts as a stand alone chagrining stand. Oh yeah and its made from aluminum unlike other similar priced third party docks that are made of plastic. And it has a built in ethernet port and some usb type a 2.0 ports for a hdd/ssd, mouse or keyboard. A.k.a play the way you wanna like a console gamer, a handheld gamer, a pc gamer or a bit of all of the above.

Find out today that it’s not charging my steam deck nor is the hdmi port working anymore. I’ve had it since july and it hasn’t moved from my entertainment center since then.

This thing works as intended! The charging, the display video output, even ethernet works.
Got nothing bad to say about it, i couldn’t care less about usb speeds honestly, i only sometimes connect a mouse or keyboard and they work flawlessly….if you’re looking for a steam deck dock that works and looks good, here you go!

I have used this to connect my steam deck to a 1080p monitor and a 4k tv. Worked with no issues. I at least can trust it to not brick my deck.

My only gripe is that when you center your steam deck into this deck, the power cable is positioned such that there is some tension in the cable which over time i imagine might damage the cable on the dock side. It could possibly also put tension on the usb-c port on the deck over time which is worrisome.

I’m hoping for an official dock out of steam soon but this is acceptable in the meanwhile.

It works well with my 4k monitor.

This dock is great! I’ve been able to dock my sd to my tv and play games. I’ve even set it on my chest while laying in bed and gamed like that with some headphones and a controller attached. The only thing about the dock that bugs me is that the usb-c cable that attaches to the sd isn’t detachable. It’d be nice to be able take that off for storage/transport reasons. Other than that, this thing is solid!

First off, this is a really good product. As soon as my steam deck arrived, i knew i needed to docking station. I waited for over a year to finally get my deck, so the last thing i wanted was for the charging cable to get snagged by a passing family member or dog causing it to fall to the floor. This product was recommended by a lot of channels on youtube, so i decided to take the plunge.

The build quality is really impressive. The machined aluminum of the dock looks and feels great, and the rubber on the surface is grippy enough to hold onto both the deck and the table while charging.

The only problem is the ethernet port. I didn’t realize this at the time, but the ethernet port only supports up to 100 mbps. To put that in perspective, at a full 100 mbps a game like god of war will take about 45 minutes to download. That doesn’t seem like too long, but i haven’t gotten the dock to download faster than 80 mbps and i have gigabit internet.

To add insult to injury, i found out that they are making an updated version of the dock with 3 usb 3.0 ports on the back and a gigabit ethernet port. Oh well.

Like i said, it’s a great product, but be prepared to use wifi to download your games since it’ll most likely be faster. Either that, or just wait for the new version to come out and get that.

I don’t particularly like the product nor do i dislike it, just indifferent to something that works fine. I use the product as it as made intended, nothing particularly out of the ordinary.

The dock serves it purpose and the build quality is pretty good. However, the steam deck can’t be at a slanted view with a silicone case on and the usb as are 2.0 instead of 3.0!

I got this dock about a week ago, and it’s decent. Everything works well, and the build quality seems good. The only problem with the dock is that the steam deck won’t fit in it if you have a case. I’m using the jsaux tpu kickstand case, which will not work in this dock. I find that odd since they are both from the same company.

This dock is amazing until valve can release theirs. However, i really wish there was a way to have dual displays or daisy chain external displays. I also found that it will display on the “big picture” mode until you jump into a game. It will work as expected in desktop mode.

Good product considering we don’t know when the official deck is coming out. Customers who complain about the 10/100 eithernet are just misinformed. Steam link software, which is why you would need eithernet, only runs up to 100 mbs max. In fact it caps st 95 mbs. If you want faster more competitive streaming you would have to use a third party program like moonbeam for better eithernet speeds. So until steam link upgrades to game streaming beyond 95 mbs there is no reason to use more recent components for 1 gbs eithernet.
