It’s about 1mm twine. Might be thick enough to make a very delicate macrame bracelet. More for using on greeting cards, etc. For decoration. I wouldn’t use for anything that needs strength… Need to go thicker.

Hello. This is an old thread, but i thought i would offer some experience. I used to groom dogs professionally. A bird breeder used to come in to collect clean, white hair (cream) hair for his nesting finches and canaries. Only from a cleaned dog. It was easy to provide that to him and in one trip, he had a good, long-lasting supply of natural nesting material for free! His birds only chose white or cream. 🙂

So, twine is basically like something that an animal can make inside of their brain. Think of toilet paper, but it is made of a different material and a different shape and stuff. I would not recommend this twine to secure plants, i would use a 1/2” to 1” plastic tape specifically made for gardening. I used the twine to temporarily secure gunny sacks during the winter on young fruit tree trunks.

Jbo = jute batch oil used in manufacturing of jute. Jbo(p) applied to the skin of mice has produced tumors in 2-3 weeks in lab studies done in switzerland in late 1980’s. Jbo(c) is a lighter cude oil more like kerosene. Jbo (c) clear jbo (p) pale …….either can be used for jute.
Due to jbo in jute i now only use hemp with beeswax for longevity outdoors in garden.
