I like that when you open it turns on and off when you close it. So far, i am very happy with it and really enjoy the big display. It seems accurate enough for cooking. The handle is large but not so large that it is hard to hold. Very happy with the purchase. Also, on the handle it had the temperatures that your steaks should be if you want them rare to well done. Very happy with it so far.

This product was definitely made with the user in mind. Not only did the box have a battery but it included a second battery also for when you need it. The instructions were extremely well written, clear, and precise. I will say there’s only one misleading little item. On the box it says waterproof. But inside in the instructions it says don’t put it in the dishwasher. So that could be a little bit misleading to a user. Other than that it definitely deserves a five star rating.

Just received it so haven’t had a chance to fully evaluate it… But right off, they shipped it with a battery already installed and a spare battery. Can’t believe that. Now that’s customer focus. The display is easy to read and has meat done temps right on it. It is back lit for night time grilling. Seems really well built. It was perfectly calibrated(32f in ice water bath) . What a bargain!

I purchased this a few months ago. I wanted to give a fair & honest review after use for time. I’m extremely impressed and quite happy with this food thermometer!!!!! I will continue to utilize this brand since their product is top tier. I have used many different brands and i want you all to know this is top of the line!!!!! The meats i have cooked since using this have been spot on!!!!! No more hockey pucks for supper!!!!!

I am seriously concerned about how excited i am about a thermometer. Kizen is to thermometers as dyson is to vacuum cleaners!! I have rarely seen such a well designed product. This thing is amazing. It turns off automatically when you fold the probe into the body, saving the battery, plus they even send you an extra battery!!!! Who does that?
There is a button to turn on the light so you can use it in the dark! You can even re-calibrate it if it malfunctions. There is even an internal magnet so it adheres to your stainless steel hood! They included velcro circles in case you want to velcro it to a nonmetal surface. Easy to use instructions, handy temperature chart. Comes under warranty, even has an email address to write to if you need support. Absolutely overwhelmed! Thrilled to pieces and just wish they could design more products!

We have a meat thermometer curse and end up buying a new one every year due to them breaking. This one came with a meat temperature guide to hang on your fridge! Love that! Now i don’t have to google what temp to grill meat too when my husband grills. Also it came with an extra battery which was a nice touch. Additionally, it has a magnet and hangs on the fridge. 5 stars

I love that i can put this on my fridge (because of the magnet inside it) so it’s easily accessible while cooking at the oven/stove right next to it. It also keeps it up out of the reach of my kids who broke a different brand that i had previously used. It is accurate and easy to use. I really like that it folds in on itself also. Good quality and have used it on an almost daily basis so far.

This meat thermometer is great. Accurate, quick to read the temperature, and priced well. This is the second one we purchased for a outside grill after having one in the kitchen for a few years. Battery life is great too, we use the original often and haven’t changed the battery yet. Highly recommended.

There’s nothing to dislike about this thermometer. It’s convenient: easy to store in a drawer or hanging on the fridge from its built-in magnet; easy to use (pulling the probe out from the storage position turns it on); easy to read with a relatively large display; and it even came with a spare battery.

Once i figured out that only the thin tip reads the temperature. At first i put way too much of the probe into the item being checked. Definitely not reliable that way. Now i just put the tip into items and it appears to give an accurate reading.

I have purchased three of thees now. Purchase #1 was about two years ago – no problems. Purchase #2 lasted a couple of months before having an issue. Took me a little effort to figure out what. It would show upside down 7s across the display upon opening. First tried battery replacement, which seemed to work. Then it happened again a day or two later. Finally, observed the temperature displayed properly when partially opened. Playing with that, it was a position related issue that probably loses the signal. Not worth seeking warranty, return or opening. Just bought #3 and problem will be solved for me. But if it happens again…

I have purchased a few of these over the years including as gifts for friends. They aren’t expensive but boy are they nice to have when you need one. My only complaint would be that they’re a bit of a challenge on the barbecue because your hand gets pretty hot waiting the few seconds for the temperature to settle. They say it gives an accurate reading in a second or so but my experience is that it takes 5 or more seconds and that means your hand is getting pretty hot. Maybe one with a longer probe would be better for a barbecue so that your hands aren’t so close to the heat? Otherwise, fantastic.

I haven’t tested the thermometer yet, but the battery works, it’s easy to handle and attractive. It’s exactly as described and comes with an extra battery and some velcro to attach to wherever you want. However, it also has a magnet in it and will attach to oven/refrigerator/anything metal.
Would buy it again.

So, i realized that this thermometer is more ideal for meat than it is candy which is unfortunate because that was going to be one of its specific uses. If you are using it just for meat i am sure it works perfectly.

Like the idea it has a magnet so you could put it on the rang hood so it’s always handy find a very accurate tool in the kitchen

So far we’ve only used this once while camping, but i liked that you could use it for meat or oil or water and didn’t have to have different ones for each use.

Bigger than what you would expect. I wish the light stayed on longer.

This was a gift to someone and never heard anything good or bad about it
