LeapFrog Learning Friends 100 Words Book

I personally love this toy. So amazing for the price since it’s bilingual. But it’s too advanced for my baby who just turned 1. For 2 months now, he loves to flip it open and close it repetitively since that causes the yellow star to light up and praise him. But he doesn’t understand the correlation between touching the photos and the words being uttered in spanish and english. He’s only interested in the star that lights up and talks to him. Hopefully, he’ll grow into it over the next year. He’s really strong, and will throw it and drop it from his high chair if i don’t hold the handle at the top while he flips it open and closed….he likes to flip it over to look at the back to try to understand how it functions, such as where the noise is coming from….i know spanish and english fluently, so i find it to be an amazing learning toy for the low price. Every bilingual daycare should have this for kids to learn from!

Can it take a fall? Yes. Throw it across the room? Check. Cover in yogurt, soup, and pasta? Sure, just wipe it off. But can a toddler rip the pages out? Not so easy.

It’s a cute book with lots of easy to push sounds and pictures, but there are thousands of books like that on here. This thing is really well built which makes it a great companion for parks, meal time, and kids who love to rip and tear the pages. I would buy this again but no need to – we’ve had this a couple months now and it’s a little battle scarred from drops on pavement but feels like it could last for years.

I love the leapfrog learning for toddlers. It was a birthday gift from her dad who was not able to be at her 1st birthday but was able to give her a beautiful learning tool to keep her learning until he comes home soon. She was and is sooo happy when she plays with it.

I bought this for my two-year-old niece. It came quickly. It already had batteries and it was a wonderful gift to give. The price was perfect. I was very surprised what great product this was.

This is an excellent language learning toy for toddlers. It can be used with or without an adult to assist the child. It!/ a great activity to engage a child.

Able it interact with child. I can see that my grandson will like it for years. He is 6 months right now.

English and spanish options for audio, and written in both languages. Sturdy. Two volume options. Facts, animal sounds, and animal names modes. Some animal sounds are real and of high quality and some are fake or replaced with cartoony sound effect or tune that could be associated with the creature. Pages are very responsive. If child’s hand touches one animal while finger is pointing to another, the book may give info on the animal the child isn’t actually looking at, but that is to be expected with how the book functions. Long battery life. Has carrying handle. Not too heavy for a one year old to carry if they wanted. No tiny parts popping off. Pages are thick durable material, not tearable. Easy to turn pages. Book does not respond once it falls asleep unless you turn the switch off and on again, so a tiny child may need your help.

Literally almost a perfect toy for a 10 mo old! Only request would be to please change the circle selector on the right from up and down to a left/right slider like the volume. Or at very minimum, change it so the item names are on the bottom. Baby keeps sliding it down and i’m left with the obnoxious random sounds setting constantly which isn’t teaching her words. Lol. Otherwise fantastic item! Ingenious design and love the page material being waterproof and indestructible.

Purchased for one-year-old. Scout and violet make learning fun. Pictures and colors are vibrant. Various settings reduce bordem as you learn about basic everyday items, colors and animals.

I love the simple pictures and multiple settings, including spanish. Some of the noises matched with the pictures are strange but not a dealbreaker. My late taker loves to play with it even if she’s not sure what it’s saying yet.

Smaller than what i remember, but more bells and thristles than what i remember.
Giftable.

Maybe not a good gift for my 18m old. The images are too small and cartoon for my baby to recognize. A more realistic image will be better for my kid.

Very useful for my baby

The toy worked fine. No problems with it. However, it is not an attention holder. I bought this for my 18 month old toddler a few months ago and the longest she has ever played with it is for 2 minutes consecutively. I had bought it hoping it would be good for road trips when she is stuck in a car seat. But she has really only played with a few time and never for very long.

It’s good but the hundred animals book is better! This one likes to sing both pages before it tells you what animal you’re touching which is really annoying but you can interrupt it by just constantly touching animals. They have a whole series of these and the one called hundred animals is much better. If you’re interested in teaching them spanish the spanish function is really cool and things in spanish too i did like that
