What is the difference between the lt1000p, lt1000pc & lt1000pcs? Is one better than the other?
They are one and the same filter. They are all tested and certified by nsf international against the same nsf/ansi standard 42, standard 53 and standard 401. The lt1000p and lt1000pc are single filters while the lt1000pcs is a double pack for the same filter…^ifv
Do you need to shut the water off to the refrigerator first? The installation on lg’s site doesn’t mention it, but i imagine you would.
As juneau92 answered. On some models of our refrigerators, you don’t need to shut the water supply line off. You just have be careful that a little residual water will drip out of the water filter when you change it. However, there are some models that will require a water bypass plug that initially came with the refrigerator. This water bypass plug has to be installed until you can replace the water filter. Check your owner’s manual to see if your refrigerator requires this. ^iv
The label on this filter is different than the label on the filter in my fridge. Is it really lg or a knockoff?
It is a ‘replacement’ filter rather than ‘original equipment’. Still made by whoever makes the lg filters in their products.
