I have a couple of year old tlc roku tv. While it has been great the original remote left a bit to be desired. It worked fine so i never complained but compared to the official roku remote that came with my roku stick it was clearly not made to the same standards. The plastics were different, and the side buttons were clicky (and not in a good way). Overall it just felt cheap comparatively.

When i lost the original remote (i swear it is somewhere around here) i decided that i needed a replacement. I bought a couple of different replacement remotes on amazon and compared them to each other. The loutoc while slightly more expensive was a clear winner. Physically it looks and feels like an oem remote. It doesn’t feel cheap and it worked right out of the box. The also included a sleep timer button that the original didn’t have, and it works flawlessly. As someone who uses that feature almost every night it was a great addition to have. That said, the colors don’t match the original roku colorway, and are more of a blue rather than a purple. It’s fine, and it doesn’t affect function in any way. It actually helps to distinguish it from the roku stick remote that i have lying around.

One last point; this is an ir remote, not rf or bluetooth. That means that it will only work with rokus that receive an ir signal, not ones that use rf. Most of the basic rokus (the little ones like the express) will work but not the sticks. You need a different remote for that.

My tcl tv remote randomly died one night. I had no luck using my alexa or the roku remote app to control my tv so i was in quite the predicament. I’m so happy i found this remote. I was worried about how i would pair a new remote to my tv without access to the settings but this remote worked on my tv right out of the package, no setting up or pairing needed. I was blown away. I’m so happy i bought this.

I ordered this remote because my son had lost my living room tv remote and we spent weeks looking for it. ‍ after searching online for a remote that would work and reading reviews i came across this one and said why not try it. I’m glad i did because i got it 2 days later and popped battery’s in and it turned my tv on no issue’s. I like that the middle arrows and okay buttons are blue and not purple because i can tell the difference between remotes to our other tvs. Defiantly worth the purchase.

I accidentally threw the remote that came with the tv in the sink, so that was fun. I was afraid this new remote wouldn’t connect since i didn’t have the original. However i was fantastically mistaken! It was very easy to connect. Just put in 2 aaa batteries and bam! Connected. All the buttons work and work correctly. And i actually like the feel of this remote over the original. It’s sleek looking and has more feel to it, for easy handling. The original was slick…and that’s why it went flying into the sink. Hopefully this one won’t do the same.

I lost my original roku remote and ordered this replacement and it was super easy to use, i didn’t have to program it at all. I just put the batteries in and i was good to start using it. Definitely recommend i love the quick buttons and the volume controls are on the side which is great for the vases i have!

Bought this to replace a remote that met its untimely death from a liquid spill. Works great, i am able to use it on my rca roku tv. Didn’t have to pair anything, just pop batteries in and use. Very easy to use and the 4 streaming services buttons are all subscriptions i have, conveniently.

I literally put batteries into the remote and it worked instantly. I’ve never been so happy. I just moved into a new apartment and i’ve been trying to set the tv up in my bedroom since forever!

Bought this to replace the original remote for my tcl roku tv that stopped working. 2 aaa batteries inserted and it worked perfectly. No pairing or codes needed. Much better shortcut buttons than my original remote and responsive buttons. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a replacement.

The remote that came with our tv was acting goofy (wouldn’t work with re-chargeable batteries, slow response, etc.) and i got tired of monkeying around trying to figure it out. For $10, i figured, let’s just start over. It came, i popped some batteries in and bingo, i’m in business. Just like that. No drawn-out ‘pairing’. Plus, this has a direct-access button to prime video, which the original does not have. Buttons are better too. Very happy.

Remotes came very quickly and the work all of my tv’s…. Of course i only purchased 2 to start with to make sure, but now ordering more for the other tv’s!

I put the batteries in, and i was instantly able to start using my tv again without the roku app. The remote works the same as my original remote, but the only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is two small issues. First is that i’m unable to control my soundbar with this remote, like i could with my original remote. I never had to do any programming to get the original remote to work with the soundbar, so i’m not sure why this one doesn’t do the same thing. Second is that the clicks are a little loud for my liking, but i’ll get over it. Great replacement roku tv remote all around though. I definitely recommend this for anyone who’s original remote randomly stopped working, like mine did.

Great remote, we have had to order a few as they are very easy lost, or accidentally placed the dog water bowl. We have never had issues with this product in the past, but this most recent remote that had arrived the direction buttons either do not respond, or the selection indicator moves on its own accord while browsing for movies. Makes it difficult to navigate to what you want, but that’s the only issue we’ve ever had. Ever.

First remote was a dud on delivery, but the replacement seems to work better than the original did.

Better than the last one i purchased. However the sleep button is too close to the pause button. Also i don’t have netflix or disney and never will. Wish it had a youtube button instead.

Really easy to use. Just literally add batteries. Only down side is there is a slight lag between control and tv. But other than that, it’s great

Not sure if it’s the remote’s or tv’s fault but there’s a long delayed reaction after pushing buttons like to change volume or go backwards.

My husband has a habit of losing remotes, so i ordered an extra. Unfortunately, we can’t use both as we do the sound bar remotes – which i’ve bought 3 of now:-)

The volume control was good and since it a pretty cheap material it can easily break

Remote is very sensitive, tends to lag. But there was no set up, just put in batteries and began working.
