Yes, my bits and pieces smell, especially after a hard day’s work in the construction trade, and it does not matter if it’s hot or cold or warm, every day is a heinous crotch day in my world. It may be dietetic, genetic, or the fact i keep it all hairless, but i will be honest here, i was disgusted and embarrassed for the people who might need this stuff (when i first saw the television commercials for this product). I swore i would never have to buy that kind of thing as i usually shower twice a day; however, i got an amazon gift card and figured, what the heck, i’ll give anything a try once. So, i ordered the silver spruce cream deodorant in a tube, and gave it the acid test upon first use. I deliberately went two full days without a shower while i sheetrocked, sanded and painted a ceiling on the weekend to see how well it performed. It was about 65 degrees both days, and i was sweating pretty good the whole time doing that kind of hard labor. Nothing. And i tried hard to detect odor, rubbing and scratching my hapless jewel bag and taint area rather vigorously. It totally worked! Unbelievable. I like the silver spruce smell, clean and not too overpowering, but i also ordered the unscented stick, and tried that on my armpits, my meat and two veg, and crack. Nothing. Fantastic. Hallelujah! The fact that it’s aluminum free and very cleverly engineered to kill bacteria instead of masking its offensive odiferous byproducts is also a win. The water-based composition also a big plus as there are no stains on my clothes, or any weird waxy feeling on my skin. I have to say, i am now a believer and a full convert who will now budget lume into my life. It’s expensive, but you don’t need much, and it will last a long time. Take it from a skeptic, this stuff is great, and everyone should buy it because quite frankly, we all need it, but please don’t be a nasty pig and use it in lieu of a shower. Do both! You don’t have to believe me about how well lume works, but if this new product did not deliver as advertised, it would not already be one of amazon’s top 100 selling beauty items. Give it a whirl, you won’t believe your nose!

Y’all. If talking about gross private parts makes you gag, don’t read this review. I didn’t buy this deodorant for my arm pits. I’m perfectly happy with my normal deodorant. Let me tell you what i do for a living. I am a registered forester. In mississippi. That means i work outside, in the steamy, bug infested woods, in a place that, if you haven’t been here before, gets about as hot and disgusting as the inside of satan’s arse by late spring. Like this week. It’s already in the 90’s out there and it’s only may. So at the end of the day my lady bits smell so bad it sometimes makes me gag. I used to work for the state and had to drive a truck with only a front seat which i would pile up with the two rangers i worked with, so we would be three deep in there after a hot days work. Trust me, they knew what that smell was. They smelled too but there’s something distinct about a woman’s musk. They had jokes. Every day. But they were right to, it was awful. Still is. So i saw this ad for this stuff and read all these reviews that the product is stinky and that’s what make me take so long in deciding to buy it. I got to thinking, even if this stuff stinks it can’t possible smell as bad as my fun bits do after a days work. So i finally ordered it. I applied in on saturday after my shower. Everything stayed fresh all weekend but i didn’t do any work since i’m off on the weekends. Monday rolls around and i had not reapplied this stuff since saturday. I’d showered and everything. I was putting it to the test because it supposedly lasts for days. I had to go to the field on monday. It was hot as hell, and it was a light work day but i was still super sweaty. Came home, and then did my daily workout. Usually when i change from gross work clothes to gross work out clothes i can barely breathe but that wasn’t the case yesterday. I finished my workout, got even nastier, and afterwards went to take a shower. Usually the smell is so bad by this point that i have to open a window in the bathroom. But you guys aren’t going to believe this. There was virtually no smell. And this is on the third day after application. I’m floored. Absolutely shocked that this works. If you’re thinking about buying this specifically for your gross privates, do it now!!! I’m amazed!! And i will be buying again and again.

By the way, the product didn’t stink at all. I got the coconut fragrance, and it smells like coconuts. There may be a little hint of something else but it’s not bad and it’s certainly nowhere near as terrible as my nether regions after a day of working in the mississippi heat.

A lot of the reviews i read complained if the ‘awful smell’ that eventually tapered off. I have no idea what those people are talking about. I bought the tangerine cream deoderant and it has a very pleasant, not overwhelming at all, tangerine scent so don’t let reviews of bad odor stop you from trying it. I just got it today so i can’t offer much more other than it goes on nicely, you need very little because it does spread nicely and i, sometimes, have a slight allergic reaction to some topicals but not this – no itching and no hives. I personally think this seems like a great product and have nothing bad to say about it at all so try it!

I have always used antiperspirants in the past to stay dry & odor free (mostly), but i kept seeing great reviews on lume deodorants & thought i’d give it a try. Well, the reviews are correct. This stuff really works. Not only does it keep me really odor-free, even on the hottest sweaty days, i somehow stay dry also! It’s amazing. One thing to note – it has a kind of ‘stinky cheese’ smell to it (in addition to its fragrance) when you first squeeze it out of the tube, but that smell immediately disappears as soon as i rub it in. I think the stinky part must be what makes it works so well. As far as the fragrances, i like coconut crush which is a very light coconutty fragrance. The vanilla scent would be fine except for the spicy undertone it has – i don’t care for that as it makes it pretty strong. The orange or tangerine scent was nice too. Overall, i love this deodorant! Keeps me odor-free wherever i use it!

I never write product reviews. Most of the reviews are written by people who are not relevant or they are getting something for writing the review. That is not me, i’m a real customer and this is a real review so here goes!

I saw a lume commercial somewhere and it made me laugh. I looked lume up online and decided to try it out. I ordered the lotion version in coconut. I really wasn’t expecting that much but damn it works – really well! I don’t normally wear deodorant, just occasionally. That said i tried it anyway in every area mentioned that one might need it. I was shocked in the best way that it worked!! The smell is odd but it goes away and what it does is absolutely amazing. You’re left with no body odor of any kind for days after just one use.

If you’re on the fence about ordering this stuff don’t hesitate because it works. There are no side effects, no burning, drying, rash, no weird scent, nothing at all. It kills any bacteria on your skin anywhere you put it. You don’t need to use very much for it to work. It’s awesome!!

I have tried all kinds of deodorants and found non worked long term with 100% odor control. This product offers complete control and for at minimum 24 hours. Also, i am post menopausal and still get hot flashes and it has passed the hot flash sweat test which is the hardest of all to control odor… It may seem expensive compared to other deodorants but you only need a tiny bit (for each underarm about a dime shape of cream at the most) to be effective so a tube will outlast store brands and will even calculate to be cheaper. Also, i have always had to scrub off other deodorants prior to shaving my under arms trying to avoid the chemicals from getting into skin and also because of the sticky residue they all leave which made a close shave impossible. Lume leaves no residue at all and i can shave before or after application. My underarm skin has even gotten smoother and the hair less course. In other words.. Love this product. Where has it been all my life!

I wanted to try this for that time of the month ladies i know i’m not the only checking myself often for not so great smells during that time. I must say it worked very well u only need a little drop it goes a long way trust me. This bottle should last me awhile since i only intend on using it a few days out of the month. The only thing is i’m not to fond of the warm vanilla smell. Kind of smells like baby formula to me but that’s just my opinion. I’m going to order a different fragrance next time.

I have sensitive skin, didn’t cause any irritation. The smell out of the tube is pretty good but very faint. Actually erased my butt crack smell (my crack sweats very easily and fast, even after shower, and obviously smells like butt normally) does very faintly kind of smell like pepper after it mixes with the sweat but that’s absolutely better than butt and trying to cover it with soap or perfume! I was really worried about using it or wasting my money but i’m actually really happy i bought this!

I read all of the reviews and decided to try it anyway. I’ve used it for over a year and will use nothing else. I’m a huge fan. I use it under the ladies with no irritation.
The reviews are true that the odor is slightly unpleasant at first but it’s gone quickly and i have no negative body odor when i use it. It will even last through the next day.
It gets 100/100 rating on yuka.

In other reviews, the scent was compared to vomit. I have an excellent sense of smell and it does…right out of the tube. However, i have found that rubbing it in thoroughly dissipates that aspect of the scent. I apply this as advertised to pits, feet and privates. It is such a plus with its long-lasting effectiveness. It simply works and on the body parts cited. I am a fan, recommend this product and suggest trying the sampler set to find the scent that works for you.

Details:
i bought a tube of no scent lume. Mostly because the only scent acceptable to wear for a man: silver spruce, was out at that time. I did read reviews of the horrific smell, but wanted to try it anyway.
When i did try it, it was horrific. The smell was unbearable to me. When i would apply it with my fingers, it was getting on my fingers, and my fingers smelled horrible, and the smell would not wash out with water or soap, so i stopped using it.
Much later, unhappy with other deodorants, i thought to persevere, and to try it again.
I found out that after applying it, you want to keep from putting the shirt on for a few minutes. This is to prevent it from soaking into your shirt. After a few minutes, several things happened: it would 1. Stop smelling horridly under my arms( not much smell at all ), 2. Dry out, so i could put my shirt on. I also found out that the horrid smell on my fingers could be washed away with a soap and a light vinegar and water solution.
It all sounds pretty involved, so why is my rating 4 stars, which is a positive rating.
Well, 1: alternatives are either bad for your skin or expansive. 2: on the subject of expansiveness, this product is also quite expensive. But i use the tiniest amount of it, and it does it’s job well, so it actually lasts a while. 3: how well does it actually work? I found out that in the summer, when i tend to sweat more, it is effective for maybe a day and a half, possibly 2 days. But in the winter, when i don’t sweat too much, it can last a week or more. I had a minor medical procedure, and could not shower for a week, and it was still working. I was rather surprised. But as soon as i washed, my bo was back as strong as ever, sorry for that imagery. So i know it was lume keeping it down. So to recount:

So the rumors are absolutely true, it smells like spoiled milk or sour butt when you very first put it on. But in my experience it goes away after an hour or so. I apply right after i get out of the shower so the odor causing bacteria hasn’t had an opportunity to develop. I apply a normal thickness layer as if i’m just putting on lotion to the area i want protected. This forms a barrier. I allow it to dry for a few minutes before putting my clothes on and absolutely wash that horrible smell off my hands. This is my bedtime routine and by morning the weird smell of the product has disappeared and i can literally work all day and not smell one thing. Bo is a thing of the past with this product. No more worries. Period.

Only giving four stars because how can something that smells like this actually work. I wish it didn’t smell like anything.

I have been so self conscious the last 3-4 years. It seems like as i’ve aged my hormones have been so out of whack and i’ve tried everything. Chlorophyll, sprays etc. When i saw an 2 days ago i couldn’t believe my eyes, i thought if this can work for me it can work for anybody. I read the reviews and yes it does smell unpleasant when you first put it on like spoiled milk. I made the mistake of putting it on before working out so it took forever to dry but once it dries the sour milk smell is gone and you are odorless. However, it doesn’t control sweating for me and only lasts through the current day (not 72 hours.) i’ve ordered the solid stick because i think that will dry faster. I will be a customer for life. I am thrilled!

Okay so first let’s review the biggest thing that people comment on: scent… I got the coconut and i don’t think it smells bad at all. To me, it’s not a gross smell, but not like a beautiful perfume. From this scent, it doesn’t really go away as i read of other scents. It does decrease in power within a few mins, but i do still smell it. Again, not horrible but noticeable. I had a small amount of odor after 6-12 hours but definitely not as bad. A noticeable difference, but i have heard it can take up to two weeks to see a real difference. Not sure if that’s true but i’ll try to update this in two weeks. It’s definitely pricey, but if it does what it says, it seems to be worth it. They have a bundle package on their website so you can trial different scents, so that might be an option for those who are hesitant on the smell. Overall, not a bad product!

This does prevent you from sweating. The only
issue i have is the smell. The smell is so rancid. It smells like expired milk tbh. Even though the smell makes me cringe i still use it but cover up the smell with a lotion. I wouldnt still be using this if it didnt work. I wish they would make the scents more pleasing. But other than that it has made me feel a lot more confident in keeping my private areas dry. I will purchase another scent since it was so effective. Hopefully the other deodorant cream actually smells nice and not disgusting.

This will be my first review without actually trying the product for at least 24 hours. I will write another review once i’ve used it for a few days. I don’t normally write a review without trying something, but i felt it was important to warn consumers of the scent — aka odor — of the tangerine scented cream.

I was very excited to try the cream out. The tube was sealed with an aluminum foil seal. I took the foil off and pressed the tube under my nose so that i could get a whiff of the scent before i tried it. Hold on to your nostrils. It smelled like tangerine scented butt. Sorry.

I continued to squeeze the tube thinking this could not be true. I mean, a product for your body meant to be a deodorant, but smells like butt?? With each squeeze, i was more and more disgusted. The scent is terrible. My opinion. Perhaps others will disagree. But, if you are expecting a lovely tangerine scent, you will be quite disappointed. Tangerine mixed with a really off-putting smelly ingredient. When it’s not on the skin, it’s not a pleasant smell. Again, in my opinion.

So, then, i decided to place the cream on the top of my hand. That really stinky smell dissipated and wasn’t as strong. It’s still not pleasing, in my opinion, but certainly tolerable. Despite my review, the scent would not overpower clothing, etc. On the skin, it’s generally a light scent.

I’ll give it a try against my nose’s strong opposition. It’s quite a conundrum that a product meant to remove odor would actually stink. I’ll leave it at that. Let the experiment begin. To be continued ….

Update after using product – before, i give you the results, allow me to share that i had every member of my family close their eyes and smell this product. I wanted honest reactions to the scent because i still could not believe how disgusting it smelled.

Every person gagged! They literally all said it smelled like butt or swamp butt. They each told me to throw it away and that they would never even consider using it because it smelled that bad!

Now, i decided that tens of thousands of 4+ star reviews had to mean something positive, right? So, i used it.

I cleaned all day, got sweaty and guess what? Absolutely no odor! I am blown away. How something that smells so bad could leave you odor free is a mystery to me!

The manufacturers should seriously consider telling the truth about this product’s scent. I believe thousands more never used it because of its disgusting smell.

So there ya’ have it. I’m leaving my title as is. ‘buy it! Just don’t smell it!’. It really works. And, i’ll buy more. Only giving it a 4 star because of the smell.

I bought this for the summer to keep from smelling like sweat. The product doesn’t really have a strong smell. To me it doesn’t actually smell like the fragrance on the product. Its smooth and not gritty. Its thick and goes on easily. I only used a small amout under my bra area. It worked but it made me itch. It didn’t leave any redness or blisters, but it was very itchy. I also tried it on my private area but made me itch on my bikini line. I have the soap as well and that seems to be better for my most sensitive areas. I do love this for my underarms and feet. Works excellent. I use a small amount and just 1 or 2 swipes of deodorant and i’m good for 2 days maybe 3.

Ive used it for a twice a week for a few weeks in the inner thigh & boob area. There is no odor. My only complaint is the scent of the product. I got the coconut one, but it smells like mac & cheese to me. If you want odor relief i recommend if you can tolerate the scent of the product.

Thie was an experience. I first ordered the deoderant with the 3 little holes on top of dispenser. It came ot of one hole only and it was dried and it was all dried out an crumbled. I figured old stock and tossed in trash. Then i ordered the lavender tube and another deoderent with the 3 holes on top. The tube must have had an air pocket because it spurted out enough for 6 people. The deoderent with 3 holes on top only dispensed from one hole and as gently as i could it still popped out from one hole and way too much. This stuff is too expensive to play games with. They should do something with their dispensers.

Typically use schmidt’s natural deodorant, but was interested in trying lume to see if the odor elimination claims worked for me. Yes, the lume (unscented) slapped me in the face with the ‘sour’ and ‘swamp butt’ aroma from the tube, but looking at the main ingredients and being acidic, it made sense. Just the initial shock of expecting to smell essentially nothing was the only negative experience. I was concerned that the sour smell wouldn’t go away, but figured i’d give it a week or 2 of using lume before scrapping the idea. Glad i gave it a chance, it absolutely works. I use under arms, under boobs, in creases at groin, and have noticed there is now no odor in those areas now for at least 48 hours, even after extreme sweating. So i am hooked now.

Tips for getting past the initial odor slap…
-use very little product. The tube says a pea sized amount, i literally use a split pea sized amount. You don’t need much at all.
-let it soak into your skin and wait at least 10 minutes after you think it’s dry before putting clothes on. If it gets on your clothes, yeah, the sour odor will hang around all day. It’s worth the wait. I literally did a sniff test off the band on my bra and my panties just the see if lume did eliminate odor. And yes, it did. No more stinky boob sweat drenched bras.
-wash hands after rubbing it into skin, and just focus on turning your nose in the opposite direction from the product when using. Or wear a mask, for a few minutes. I have a really sensitive nose, but i figured out how to manage the initial sour odor.

At the end of the day, personal care products are a personal choice, but it works for me, so i can adjust to that initial sour smell. Honestly, the smell lingers less than that of nail polish or remover. I think it’s worth it.
