Did anyone buy inserts for the flange? I need 17mm, which ones fit best?

Hello,

thanks for your question.

It is recommended that you refer to our video to measure the nipple size and choose the correct flange size (our standard is 24mm). There are other sizes of the flange from momcozy available on amazon for you to choose from.

I want to purchase but some women expressed the seal pops off easily? Is this human error or is this something that will happen?

It has happened once to me. It was honestly fully an error on my behalf. If you lean forward like the directions say it should keep seal. This is hands down one of the best pumps i have used

Can you hold your baby comfortably while using this pump?

Not if you are wearing both of them…you can hold the baby with the opposite arm but if the baby is squirmy they can hit the pump and break the suction.

What are the elastics that came in the baggie in my box with my pumps?

I asked the same thing! ( :
there is an o ring in the motor interface. If the sealing ring is lost or broken, it will cause the connection between the motor and the flange part to fail, which means it cannot be used normally. These two clear rings are included as a spare replacement.

Love this!

I have an 8 week old preemie who decided latching wasn’t for him. After successfully breastfeeding my two older babies for two years each, pumping was such a hard task for me. I was sent home with the medela symphony and having to sit down with godzilla every two hours to pump and washing all the parts and pieces was so time consuming i fell off the pumping track. My milk supply started diminishing- i was lucky to get out 1 oz at a time when i was getting out 4-5 per breast so i had already purchased formula when i decided to try these. I have pumped twice with them so far and i love them. Here are some tips for you:

1) wear a stretchy bra that fits you snug. I use the target arden cami bra with no padding that’s cotton. It stretches to hold the cups and doesn’t feel bulky like my other thicker padded nursing bras.
2) the silicone cover that goes on your boob has a small lip that goes around to seal the pump. If this gets caught in your bra when you move or get up (especially if you have a belly) you will leak so you have to make sure your bra is holding it down for you!

3) use gravity to tilt the pumps back when you take them off and then pour them out of the spout. I had to play around with a small amount of milk the first time to figure out what angle to pour from.

This is all i have for now. I’m so excited to see my supply build now that i don’t hate pumping!

Produced 8oz!

I’ve struggled with an undersupply from the beginning. I use the spectra s1 as my primary pump and typically get around 3.5-4oz (5oz is a good sess). The most i’ve ever produced with the spectra was 7oz and it was after i slept through my motn session. I don’t mind the spectra but it generally feels uncomfortable and always slightly hurts. I have to brace myself when i turn it on.

When i tried the momcozy i was super concerned with the strength of suction. It just felt week and my nipples felt great so i correlated that to not strong enough. Well i had a 45 min car ride and used these while i traveled. I left them on for 30 min and was pleasantly surprised with a 6oz haul. I come home from my trip and do them again but this time leave them on for 35min and ended up with 8oz!! They are easy, painless, and cheaper than the spectra.

I’ve never had leakage but i always make sure everything is secure before i put them on. The battery life is terrible but you get enough for about two pumping sessions. I have to keep them on longer than the spectra but my output is considerably better. The noise is the most annoying part, these things are loud! I wouldn’t bother taking these to work but at home they are great.

Forget elvie!!!!! This is the best ever!!!!!!!

I bought the s12 and i have never looked back!
You guys i’m not exaggerating when i say this is the best pump ever!! I had the spectra pump like everyone gets from the hospital and this momcozy sucks just as much milk out as the spectra if not more. Some reviews said they spilled milk or whatever but i have not had that issue whatsoever. You obviously can’t bend all the way over or lay down but i throw these on with pretty much every bra i own (i find sports bras are the most compatible, definitely wouldn’t recommend a push up bra in these). I am able to clean, do the dishes, do my laundry, etc. We bought on prime day so we only spent $111. And i pump exclusively and have had no issues only using my momcozy. I had 3 doctors tell me that pumping exclusively will be virtually impossible but i guess they didn’t know about my momcozy suckers! Truly life changing i recommend these to everyone i know – even men!
(this is not sponsored i’m just really passionate about these okay) thank you momcozy i love you!!

Super impressed

I got these portable pumps because there were many times when my baby would start crying as i was using my spectra pump and i was a little trapped. I am very impressed. It is true that you need a very tight bra to keep them in place but that wasn’t very inconvenient to me. The suction for me has been very impressive, comparable to my spectra. The buttons on the top are very helpful. It is hard to pour out the milk from the little spout it has, so i have been taking off the silicone part and then pouring it. The milk does get stuck the the parts a bit but when you take it apart to clean it you can get most of it. For this price i am very impressed!!

Don't worry, it really does work!

I’ll admit i was sceptical at first as to whether this would really work and be as amazing as it sounded. But this pump has quite literally saved my sanity with a newborn and toddler at home. Breastfeeding isn’t working so it looks like i’ll be exclusivlly pumping for now. It’s so nice being able to get stuff done or spend time with my kids all while pumping and not have to be tied to a chair.
I still also use my medela pump sometimes (mostly so i don’t have to wash this thing 10 times a day… Wish it came with extra parts) and i pump the exact same amount with both. I usually have the suction on at a 4 or 5.
Because of this pump, i think i’ll be able to ultimately pump longer (my goal is a year, but without this pump i didn’t know how i was going to make that happen.)
seriously, this thing is a game changer!

Click buy now!!!!

To be able to pump on my 20 minute commute home and not have to sit in a room hooked up to the pump at home, i got the same amount if not more with these amazing pumps! 10/10 would recommend! I was thinking about just switching to formula because it has been hard to find time to pump. Now i see being able to continue with breast milk for a while with the ease and freedom of using these! Not working for a while it was hard for me to pull the trigger purchasing this for over $100…but sooooo worth it!!! Stop reading reviews and click buy now!!!!

Worth it

I have the medela max flow pump and is a bit more restricting due to the wires and sometimes you have to hold it up to your boob. I wanted a pump that was hands free, easy to travel with, and chargeable. Honestly, i was very skeptical about buying this pump. I read a lot of reviews and i gave in and wanted to try it for myself. I am so glad i did. This pump is great! The suction is powerful, it displays the duration of the pump session, and it’s hands free!! It works really well and it’s cost effective.

The only minor complaint i have is that it hard to see/tell how many oz you’ve pumped while you have it on. You have to keep looking and sometimes take it off to see how much you pumped. Overall it’s a great pump! Would definitely recommend trying it.

Works great

I get as much if not more milk from these compared to my spectra. They’re very easy to use and clean, not too heavy, comfortable to wear. They aren’t disguised under your clothing and they are noisy, so if you expect to pump without people knowing, these aren’t the ones. I usually pump in the car on our places and they work great for that. It’s also nice to be able to walk around the house and pump without being tethered to a machine. The battery life is pretty good. I can get a few pumping sessions out of them between charging.

5Expert Score
More milk than plug in pump!!!

100% recommend over any other pump! I also have one of the strongest plug in pumps and this portable pump pumps more milk than my plug in pump. I’ll be using my momcozy all the time now! I’ve not used any other portable pumps so not sure how it compares when it comes to portability but i’d imagine that all of them minimize some range of motion but at least i can get up and warm a bottle or change a diaper or attend a zoom call etc so i can’t complain. So so excited about this pump!

5Expert Score
Best pump ever

I would like to start by saying that everyone is different. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had the same type, shape, size of nipples? But we don’t. So we have to find what works best for us.

I have a dr. Brown’s pump and a spectra s2 pump and they are good but anyone who has a cable pump knows the struggle of sitting in a specific place not always comfortable to pump. Another thing from those pumps is that the flange size was not appropriate to me. With the spectra, even purchasing different flange size, because of it being plastic, was damaging my nipples to no end.

Momcozy s12 has been the ultimate life saver. It has the suction i need. After purchasing the flange insert it has the comfort that i needed. Yes, i’ve had maybe 2 accidents where i needed to run to save my milk because of leakage but that was my fault. Not the pump’s. It does provide more mobility and comeier but, just because of its portability it does not mean that you can bend down to stretch or do a cartwheel.

Take with a pinch of salt the reviews that you read. If you end up purchasing this product and find out that it doesn’t work for you, consider trying their solutions before giving up on it because it’s truly worth it.

Momcozy s12 vs m1

Im 4 weeks pp and have a decent supply but my baby is a hungry hungry hippo and is eating 4 oz every 2 hours. The hospital messed up his latch by forcing me to give him formula so basically im at the pump every 2 hours. It was miserable and i was supplementing with formula due to missing pump sessions cause life. I bought a willow 3.0 during a moment of sleep deprived desperation. I hated it and had so many issues and couldnt get used to constant suction. Willow made me understand the saying ‘dont cry over spilled milk’ because i def spilled and absolutely cried. I would get so frustrated i’d end up back at the wall on my medela pis. I was in a facebook pumping group and people suggested the momcozy and my lactation journey has been forever changed. I sold the willow for $100 less than retail and that gave me enough to buy 2 s12s and 2 m1s plus extra parts (yep thats how expensive they are). I’m someone who needs lots of suction, i want to feel the buuuurn so elvie was never an option. These things suck but like in the best way. I usually start at a 4 and end the session at a 9. However, due to the weight of the motor on the s12 they do shift around and sometimes i have taken them out after 10 mins of pumping to find out they werent properly attached and i have no milk which is a huge bummer when you’re on a time crunch with a newborn. This does not happen to me with the m1. I pumped with my medela 20 mins after to make sure i was empty and only got .5 oz out of both breasts. I was spending 30 minutes at the pump, then 20 mins feeding baby, 10 more minutes changing. Which only gave me about 1 hr to sleep before i had to do it over again, it was miserable. I go back to work next week and would have switched to formula if it weren’t for momcozy. Now i can pump while i feed and change baby. Battery life is pretty great on both, lasts me 3 20-minute sessions with leftover juice so i could probably do 30 min sessions and comes with two chargers (take notes willow). Now that i’ve raved enough about these pumps, let’s look at some stuff i didnt like.

The cons:
so. Many. Parts to clean but i ended up getting 2 more sets of parts so i only have to clean once a day and it was still half the price of my willow. So still a win. However, the m1 does not have spare parts for sale for some reason so that is quite annoying.
Loud. Like my boob is about to take off. Unless you are in a loud room/environment it is very obvious you are pumping but i work from home so this doesnt bother me. The m1 is slightly quieter than the s12.
Sticks out. Like a sore thumb. Also, the motor comes off the pump pretty easily. However, the m1s solve this problem and they are my go-to wear out in public or when i need to be more discreet. They actually blend in quite well but i am on the smaller chested side so not sure how well theyd camouflage for large chested ladies.
Milk loss. For those who are just enoughers, every little drop counts and i’ve noticed that quite a bit of milk gets stuck in between all the parts but you just have to take the whole thing apart and shake it over the bottle to get all the milk out.

Overall these are both great pumps but for some reason my body responds much better to the m1 and even though the s12 has more suction the m1s empty me much better and i have noticed consistently larger output from the m1. If you can, get one of each and see what works best for you then buy the second one. I would be using the m1 exclusively if they sold parts for it so i didnt have to clean in the middle of the night. In my personal experience, the clear winner is the m1 but please momcozy make the parts available for purchase.

Great pump, especially for the price

Pros – convenient, quiet, fast recharge, get 3+ usages out of 1 battery recharge (i pump 1 side at a time. 1 pump lasts for both sides and i recharge after each use – not out of necessity. I’ve never had the pump run out of charge). Easy to transport.
Cons – not quite as powerful of medela pis, can leak from bottom of collection cup (see below), doesn’t quite fit in bras (even the momcozy pumping bra)

ok – so i have used the medela symphony pump, medela pump-in-style (pis), and this one. While the symphony is my favorite so far regarding suction and noise level, this is a close second. Yes, i can pump a little more out with my pis after pumping with the momcozy pump for 15-20 minutes, but it is not a tremendous amount. I love the quiet, the lack of wires/tubes, and the lack of a separate pump/collection cups. It is also great that i do not have to carry a pump, plus tubes, plus (i don’t know what they are called, but the part where the collection bottle screws in and the suction tubes meet), plus collection bottles. This pump, even if carrying both, takes up so much less room that my medela pis, making it much easier to transport and use on the go.

Now the cons. I did find that the collection cups were prone to leaking. This is probably due to my belly and/or boobs interfering with the seal. For context, i was a 38ddd prior to pregnancy. I am too scared to measure now (lol!), but i am bigger now. I think that because my breasts at larger, in order to position the pump/collection cup correctly on my breast, the bottom on the collection cup rubs up against my stomach. When i move, the friction between my stomach and collection cup causes the silicone seal to unlatch slightly from the plastic collection cup. I found that the way around this was to hold the collection cup up slightly when pumping. This leaking also occurs when using a pumping bra (momcozy, or otherwise). Since pumping bras do not seem to offer much support (well, none of the ones that i have tried), the collection cups still rest against my stomach. So when i breath/move/etc, leakage occurs. If i try to pull up/wear the bra tighter at the should straps, the elastic chest band of the bra pulls at the silicone of the collection cups and causes leakage. Hence, now i pump 1 at a time and hold the pump up off my abdominal skin. As a note, i can still use this hands free…. I just have to be careful how i move so as to not cause leaks.

Another con what that even with the extenders for the shoulder straps, the pump doesn’t really fit inside the bra secure enough that i can freely move around. If i do get it fully in the bra so that i don’t think it will pop out at a moments notice, the elastic chest band of the bra pulls at the silicone seal at the bottom of the collection cup and causes a leak (see paragraph above).

All in all – probably not the pump if you want to increase supply, but great pump to maintain supply and have a life outside of the home.

Btw – this pump is quiet, but it is not so quiet that you could use it next to another person without them knowing. Also pretty obvious that you chest will have doubled in size. =)

Good for travel; do not recommend for main pump/everyday use

My lactation consultant recommended this brand, as she said multiple clients swear by it. I was really excited, but a little disenchanted upon arrival. The issue is that i can’t get them to be hands-free! The suction isn’t strong enough to stay in place. I might have to buy a super tight nursing bra to make it work, but even then i’m sure i’d have to be leaning forward quite a bit in order for it to work well. (i read that the company recommends that you lean forward a bit, but i have to lean forward a lot.) the noise is fine (certainly can hear it, especially with the imperfect suction). I like that i can tell the battery level so i know when to recharge it. The charge lasts for about 40 minutes or so. The levels of intensity are quite variable, which is nice. Overall, it’s hard to tell if i would purchase again because i’m not sure how other pumps compare (other than the pump from the hospital, which was definitely not hands-free or quiet or portable…). If this is your main pump, i’d probably look elsewhere. But for portability/travel/a day at the office, etc. I would recommend.

Great value for a portable pump

Look, you’re not going to get an elvie-quality pump for this price but it works and it’s worth it’s value.
Seemed a bit intimidating at first but i think all breast pumps are at first. You need to really make sure all the parts are completely intact/sealed before wearing it. The buttons are so easy to figure out. The suction even at the highest level of 9 is good, but i’m sure many would be comfortable with slightly stronger suction. The battery on the pump lasts very long and uses a cord that you could find at most people’s houses or work if you needed to. I don’t like that you can’t see what you’re pumping very well so if your application wasn’t done right, you could easily pump absolutely nothing in 10 min. One other thing is sometimes the seal between the silicone flange and the outer cup breaks at the bottom when i’m taking it off and i’ve leaked milk everywhere twice, it’s devastating.
You can hear the pump – don’t let other reviews tell you i otherwise. But guess what, it’s no secret that you’re pumping when you literally look like iron man with lights shining through your shirt. Get it, it works and it’s a great price point.

Answer to busy mom problems

I just had my 5th child and wish i would have discovered this pump sooner. This is the answer to all busy mom problems!! I’m continually shocked at how much milk i get with each pump session. I pump in the car, at soccer practice, while washing dishes and cooking dinner. It’s amazing.
However, i wanted to use this pump when i go back to work as it’s advertised as quiet but unfortunately it makes the same noise as any pump in my opinion. Also, battery life isn’t the best. I usually pump twice before i need to charge it again which is fine and lastly it’s messy….. While removing, milk is all over the suction. I always have to have something ready to wipe off especially if i’m somewhere i don’t want milk on my clothes. That’s the biggest gripe i have though. The mess or loss of milk because of it but the pros outweigh the cons and this is a good buy overall!!!

4Expert Score
Pretty good!

I’m glad i bought this! Overall, it is a useful addition to my spectra pump for much less money than some alternatives. I use it once a day in the morning when i’m getting ready for work. This is also my biggest and longest pump of the day. I sometimes use it at night too if there are a lot of dishes to do so i can multitask.
Pros:
-it is nice to be able to walk around and do things while i’m wearing it. This has significantly decreased the time it takes to get ready in the morning! I’m also able to hold and carry the baby while i am pumping which is hard with the spectra. It’s not good for close baby snuggles, but so much easier for moving baby from play mat to crib for example.
-you can use different suction levels on each side.
-i get the same amount of milk in the same amount of time as i do with my spectra pump, although let down seems to take longer.
-it can be enclosed in your shirt so you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone.

Cons:
-it’s kind of loud. Probably quieter than the spectra, but the motor is closer to my ear so it seems a lot louder and makes it difficult to have much conversation while pumping.
– it has leaked a couple times where the silicone secures on the bottom. Probably just how i put it together that day rather than a problem with the pump itself. But because of this i don’t use it in the car.
-you can’t see where the nipple goes into the flange, so it’s hard to tell if your positioning is optimal.
-it’s hard to really massage while pumping, so if there’s a particular spot you’re trying to work out, the spectra is better.
-a little less comfortable than the spectra but not bad
-it provides much better coverage than the spectra, but isn’t super discreet. No risk of flashing anyone, but you can’t use it while interacting with people and expect no one to notice the bulk and noise.

Great option for pumping freedom

Overall great option! I hated being stuck to the wall when pumping every few hours with my spectra so this is an amazing freedom to have. But beware of taking advantage of the freedom too much! Moved around too much and didn’t notice that it shifted slightly on one side and i ended up with a serious milk blister and a clogged duct. Definitely wear a tight fitting bra to hold it in place well and it will be a dream! Suction is great, wish i could get just a little stronger option but overall it empties the breast quite well and is comfortable. I would buy again but definitely need to get a tight bra to go with it!

Pump review

Upsetting , i had my son 10/4/2022 and used these as soon as we were discharged on 10/5/2022 … I’ve gotten about a good week in of being able to use them both but unfortunately now one of the pumps only pumps in one setting which is like a slow pulse pump rather than the normal pump. Kind of upsetting being that i paid $140 for these. I would recommend just be cautious that this can happen to you. I wish i could get a free replacement but it’s whatever

What pumping should be like in 2022

This is what breast bumping should be in 2022. I absolutely love the auto cut off and the portability! Being able to get things done around the house makes pumping less of a chore. This makes it enjoyable to be honest. My own criticism would be the material it’s material that the flange is made out of. I wish it were more easier to clean. Also the various parts make it extremely hard to clean! What u gain in conscience you lose in cleaning time

4Expert Score
Not for big breasts

I like this breast pump because it is super portable but i dislike it because with big breasts the cups seem to leak. I have to basically bend all the way forward to keep the milk going in and not down my shirt like the picture. These are still the best i’ve found on the market so far due to portability, ease of use, and functionality. I like not being stuck to one place but do sometimes have issues like this. The suction definitely dies down after a short period of time. Ive only had my first set for 2 months and i can already tell the difference.
