Will a 20 oz cup that is 6′ tall fit under the spout of the machine with the bottom tray removed?
I measured the height of the space allowed for a coffee cup 2 ways:
when you snap on the cup platform in the lowest slot, the distance (the height) up to the nozzle is 6.25 inches. If you remove the cup platform the space to the counter is 7.25 inches.

I love the nespresso vertuoline. Is there any brand machine that makes same sized cups (6 ounces) with great crema, but by grinding beans (not pods) ?

I don’t think you can purchase the machine with ebt but the pods you can purchase with ebt eligible vendors.

The capsules are not interchangeable. The original coffee makers use original pods

Are any of the capsules organic?
They claim they are fair trade. I don’t believe they are organic but the recycling of capsules is quite important and they do that. On their nespresso website you can see about some of the farms. I won’t be without my nespresso coffee!
Can you use 53 g pods for the original version?
Nespresso pods only work for this machine, and i only used this 1 time and it stopped working on me its a waste of money i would look into another brand of machine before even getting this one. And yes 53 g pods the peets ones do work i bought them from target and that is the ones i used.

No, the peets that i have seen only make k-cup pods. This breville machine only uses nespresso vertuo pods. Although i still own a k-cup coffee maker the nespresso machine and coffee is on a different level and is so much better in my opinion. Nespresso also has an original machine that might take peets.

Does the heated water come in contact with plastic?
While one vertuo model includes a part which contains bpa, there is no direct contact with the water or coffee, and our tests show no evidence of migration of bpa in the consumers’ coffee cup. We are currently working to replace this part in our vertuo machine with another material. As part of our quality management system, nespresso submits its products, packaging and processes to rigorous monitoring on a regular basis to ensure compliance with all standards. The results of those tests show that our machines are safe. They comply with all current regulation’s requirements concerning materials in contact with food.
