NIKON Monarch M5 8×42

Well, my new nikon m5 8×42 arrived the other day! Talk about ‘crisp, clear’ viewing, nikon does it well! I’m a birder, and these new binoculars are going to be a joy to use in the field. This pair replaces a former, different ‘brand’, and i am really glad that i purchased the m5 8×42. Can’t go wrong with these! Jb

I am a casual user of binos who became interested in birding when a friend sent pictures he captured in his back yard. I recently bought a pair of used nikon zoom binos and it had a mount for monopod or tripod. I have 10×42 binos and cannot hold them still to look through more than a few seconds. One has a mount (redfield) and other did not (nikon prostaff 3s). I wanted an 8×42 that was decent for seeing wildlife without tripod.
Pros:
1 sharp and bright
2 quality good at price
3 has mount for tripod under nikon emblem
4 easy to hold steady
5 lens caps attached so will not loose them.
Cons:
1 eyepiece cover is very loose.

Do far loving them but will update if needed.

I bought these binoculars for birdwatching and wildlife. They are super sharp and clear. They’re fairly lite to carry. For the money it would be hard to beat is binoculars.

Bird watching

Began some amateur bird watching recently. Old pair of binoculars were dark and had too much magnification to find and center a bird easily. These nikons have a larger field of view, which makes it easier to find and center on a bird, and they are much brighter and crisper, making details much more visible. I love the optical quality of these binoculars.

I am so pleased with these binoculars. They are light weight and have easy focus. I was using heavier, much more expensive swarovsky binoculars so i have high standards, and these at this cost rival the much more expensive alternatives. I am an avid birder so i use these everyday. I am delighted i found them.

I grew up in south africa and i’ve spent most of my life in the bush my husband and i now reside in the states and just went back for a safari with my family i was so impressed with these binoculars and so with everyone else the price is reasonable you really don’t have to go more than these they travel well great size and everyone love them

Really pleased i upgraded to this pair of binoculars. They are incredibly clear and great for birding. It’s easy to adjust the focus and they have a good hand feel.

Overall good product. It is light and good for birding. However, the sharpness is below par for a binoculars of this cost.

These work well… Images are clear and reasonably bright. Especially like that the lense caps are captivated. For casual use, these are a bit pricey

Soy nuevo en el uso de binoculares, pero con los monarch m5 8×42, esto no es un problema. No tuve ningún problema para usarlos casi de inmediato al recibirlos (que por cierto, llegaron antes de lo previsto).

Los estoy intentando usar con un adaptador para smartphone, pero allí siento que se hace necesario usar trípode.

Calidad óptica excelente.
