Years ago, a co worker nearly lost her eyesight, when the battery she was jumping exploded- spraying battery acid in her face. I have had a fear of that happening to me, when the cables spark- as a result, i have to get someone to jump it for me, or call a tow truck.
When i used the noco40 to jump my dead battery, there were no sparks when i attached the cables- i was able to jump start it right away, without anyone helping me… And i arrived on time for my drs appointment!
When i called my car ins co about getting a jump start a few months ago, the man sent to help me used a noco boost- he said it would start the battery right away, and it did. I bought one, and it paid for itself the first time i used it! Missing a drs appointment when i’m sick, and having to reschedule means i can’t get the help i need… Putting me at risk of getting worse. But being out in the summer heat while running a fever & dealing with a dead battery- that can be dangerous. A fever can go much higher, resulting in heat exhaustion or even heat stroke…
Having a way to start a dead battery by myself, that sets my mind at ease! There are other bonuses as well:

I purchase noco booster plus gb40 it work very well first time and after two month again i need boost my vehicle but when i contact it nothing show power first i think maybe gb40 need recharge then i recharge gb40 and try to boost my vehicle but same problem then i call amazon for help amazon help center they told me this product under warranty if you want return we refund your payment or we send you new one or we transfer your call to manufacturer. I like to transfer my call to manufacturer and i speak to manufacturer and explain them that nothing working just one red led light turn on when i connect to my vehicle bettery.they told me don’t worry your vehicle will be start in few mint just connect gb40 to your bettery terminal and turn on power.and then discount your gb40 red cable from bettery terminal and press override button for 5 seconds then reconnect red cable .when i connect red cable gb40 start boosting my vehicle bettery and finally my car start.very power full gb40. It work very good if bettery complete dead .

I had just bought three on these on amazon prime day, one for each of our vehicles. We went camping with some friends and i kinda bragged about it to the husband. He i haven’t ever needed anything like that. He just always keeps a good battery on his truck. Later that day, he got in his heavy duty dodge pickup truck and the battery wouldn’t turn over the engine. My husband asked me to bring them my starter which i did. It started that huge truck right up instantly! Both men were very impressed! It was used 3-4 more times that weekend while we were there. I just let him
keep it in his truck until he was able to buy a new battery. Our friends said they were going to order one too. (ironic timing, i know!)

The battery for my wife’s 2016 x3 sdrive2.8i is completely dead (nothing electrical turns on) so i decided to get this product to jumpstart the battery so i can take the car to a shop. I got it the next day, but i had doubts that it will work given the battery pack is half the size of my laptop’s power pack. It took 4 hours to charge from 50% to 100%. I followed the instructions on how to hook it up to the battery… Waited a minute since the car’s electrical came to life…the dashboard giving me a bunch of errors and warnings…functions that rely on a good battery…i gave it a shot. The engine fired up normally—doubts erased. The battery pack is rated for 20 starts on a single charge, but i thought it drained it since the battery was completely dead—it still has , or close to, 100% since the green led on it is still lit. This is so worth it.

I saw someone start a car with one of these a while back so i purchased one. I’m amazed at how well it works.. First my wife’s 2019 honda crv wouldn’t start, so i hooked this up not really optimistic that it would work. But her car started as if from a brand new battery. Then my son was having what he considered to be an electrical issue with his honda civic. There were all sorts of electrical warnings when he tried to start the car. He was about to have it towed to the honda dealer. I took this over and his car started instantly. (side note: my other son had an issue with his 2019 honda battery as well. Don’t get me wrong, i love my hondas, but their batteries absolutely suck. My 2017 silverado has never had an issue with its original battery)

This unit is a real lifesaver. I was stuck at my office with a dead battery on my truck and nobody had jumper cables. 1 guy had one of these. We clipped it on and it fired the chevy 350 over immediately. I bought 2 of them that weekend and gave one to my wife. It saved her that very next week when the battery died on her suv. She was extremely happy with it. I keep mine in my computer bag that goes with me in my cars or motorcycle. I even used it to jump start my riding lawn mower.
My only complaint is the holder to put the clamps on gets lost easily. Mine is in the depths of my truck now. Be good if it was part of the battery pack or attached somehow. It’s no big deal. The bag that it comes with keeps things togeather.

Super easy to use. Purchased it a while back to be safe when we were traveling out of state. Single mom with two kids. One day we are in the opposite side of town at 9:30 coming home from a b-day party- truck is dead. I opened it up and the flash light had been on from the last time i took it out to show someone. It still had battery to jump the truck. That is the only issue. The power button doesn’t need much to turn it on. But still, dumby proof because it got us home lol. I charged it and put it back in my trunk. It has done well over the summer heat in my truck and you only check in it every couple months and charge it at 6 months if needed. Youtube videos on how to use it charge it -yes it is easy but when you get nervous sometimes having that youtube video helps. Get it for emergencies, for your young drivers, for road trips. Worth it.

Wife’s car had bad alternator, battery died and car stopped blocking traffic. Used regular jumper cables from my car, car started but died again as soon as jumper disconnected (bad alternator). Bought this specifically to have a small device that could jump start the car and power it for a short time, long enough to drive car off road to safe stopping location. Tested this by disconnecting alternator and battery. Jump started car using gb40, and drove it for several minutes (just to test). Disconnected gb40 and car died (alternator disconnected). This proves that the unit will both jump start the car and power it long enough to drive to a safe location (and probably for some length of time, tens of minutes, longer – but did not test that).

I must add to my review that i asked noco specifically about doing this with the gb40 and their reply was ‘manual override is not designed to power devices or act as a battery replacement and doing so could damage the device.’ so while demonstrating it is capable of powering the vehicle as i noted above, do so at your own risk. It does what i specifically bought it for, so i’m satisfied.

I bought this starter box two years ago after having my battery die with my suv (v6 lincoln) while it was in the garage (facing in). Had not needed to use it until last week when i was headed to a funeral service and tried to start the suv. Was able to start the car in the garage, but figured i would not be able to start car at funeral home. Plugged the box into the usb in the car and headed to funeral (20 minute drive). 60ish minutes later, went to car and ‘click click click’ used the starter box to start car and went to lunch with the family; plugged the box back into usb on the way to lunch (15 minute drive). After lunch, i had appointment at dealership (scheduled for routine maintenance before battery issue). Did not even try to start car, just hooked up starter box and fired the car up. Three jump starts between 10:15am and 12:30pm.

Ps – did not even get dirty while using the product. Wore my dress clothes the whole time. Buying one of these for my wife and two children!

At first i was getting frustrated, because i clamped the battery terminals, turned the device on, waited 30 seconds and nothing happened for the first 3 attempts at jump starting a completey dead battery on my 98 camry that’s been sitting for weeks. I then watched a youtube video that said to press the ‘override’ button (which is a red exclamation mark on the front of the device) if the device is not detecting the battery. So i did and wallah! It started up that old car with no effort. So i highly recommend this product for that reason. The only cretique i have is that the ‘on’ button is right on the front of the device. They should’ve added a cover over the button so that you won’t accidentally turn it on and drain the battery. It won’t be able to jump start your car if it’s dead it’s self.. Also it should’ve came with a case instead of little bag. If i’m paying $100 this is what i’m expecting. They didn’t even include an adapter to charge it now that i’m thinking about it.. Oh well. It did what it promised.

So i had an incident traveling where my battery died and i needed one of these, so i bought it. I have a noco trickle charger that has worked great for me in the past, but this is nice to have on hand for a quick save. Can’t say that i’ve used it yet “in the field”, so i can’t comment on that. But i like the design and with the case i bought it’s really convenient.

Can’t give 5 stars though because the charging cable it came with didn’t work! I plugged it in, tried it with different power sources like a usb to wall cube, the car charger attachment, and my computer usb connection and it wouldn’t show it was charging. I grabbed another micro usb that i had lying around the house and it immediately started charging and finished within a few hours. So it appears all is well now, but the cord they sent me is crap. I didn’t bother to reach out to them over the cord since i had another one. But it was disappointing to get this and not have everything included working fresh out of the box. I hope the battery itself holds up for me for a long while! We will see though!

This is a great jump starter box. Has lots of power and easy to use.

Now the design flaws. The buttons are too easily pressed. The power button doesn’t seem to be a big deal but twice now the light has been turned on and i didn’t know it because it was in it’s pouch and had drained the battery twice both times i went to use it and couldn’t.

The second one i bought was on a prime day and the cases were on sale so purchased two of those to keep it and the buttons safe from being pressed.

The light works great but i gave it two stars because of the button.

The need to put some raised plastic around them or make them sunken or even require a long press to turn it on. I’m guessing it was bumped on something when i put it in the car which turned the light on.

Just be careful when putting it in the car or where ever you store it and check it regularly to make sure it has a good charge.

Only 4 stars on safety because of the buttons.

I bought this for a car i had that i couldn’t move to a place where i could jump it using another car. At this point the battery had been dead for probably two weeks. The noco did not start it. My mechanic brought over his much larger portable charger and got it working. But i turned the car off because i was going to go get gas before going to get a new battery. The car would not start again, so this time i tried the noco again and it did work. So the point is it can jump a car battery depending on how weak the battery is. If it has not been started in a week or more this probably won’t work. Less than a week; it probably will. Can also charge your phones. Good to have charged before a storm.

My car battery lasted 6 years with no problem until it didn’t all of sudden last week. The person who helped jump my car had one of these, so i bought it. However, i bought a new car battery, but this is nice to have for those just-in-case situations or to help others in need. I hope i never have to use and if i do, i pray it doesn’t let me down though these exceptional reviews should prove it should. I did note that the light wasn’t as bright as i expected. I know the technology around flashlights is vastly improved these days.

Well i guess i should’ve read more about this you said when you spend $100 or more for a battery box jump starter you expect to get a case instead of a bag how is that little bag going to protect that my stupidity i should’ve looked because if i would’ve known i wouldn’t of bought it the moral of the story read everything before you buy it

I’d been following jump start devices for a while.
My intention was for emergency jump starting vehicles…
The reduced size and capability these type products is amazing to me!
The added benefit of remote phone and computer charging is great… Camping etc.
The light is bright and useful.
I’m reasonably confident the product will function as advertised, based on increased battery technology, cordless tools i use and positive reviews, and look forward to more safely jump starting vehicles without using my regular cables.
Not that it happens very often but i’ve always carried jumper cables in my car which have come in very handy for myself and other motorists…
I’ll probably order the hard case for it rather than the bag it comes with.

Happy enough that i decided to keep it but wish it didn’t take half an hour (not exaggerating) to get the clamps placed just right so that the jump starter recognized that it was connected to a battery and therefore usable. But once that magical connection occurs, it works great. The battery of my jeep (2018 wrangler jk) was so dead that even once started and driving i was still having electrical issues but the jumper started it with the first crank. My decision to keep the jump starter was largely due to the fact that it does have an indicator light to let you know when the proper placement of the clamps has been achieved.

I’m not sure how this thing works so well but you can pretty much put it only totally dead battery in about 30 seconds my truck will crank. But if you use jumper cables you have to wait about 10 minutes so this thing is pretty awesome and it fits in my glove box.

These really work. Had to use a couple of weeks after delivery. I have bought one for every vehicle in family. Best buy all year…

This thing was an emergency purchase as i was facing a workweek and a car that refused to start. Asking for jumps is doable, but i’m way too stressy to want to do that every single time i wanted to drive somewhere.

This little pack jumped me in the morning to get to work, jumped me after work to go to an o’reilly’s (where i learned that my 10 year old battery was the issue), jumped me out of their parking lot to the advanced auto parts down the street, and jumped me on my way back home.

That’s 4 whole jumps with minimal fussing (i got way more practice hooking it than i would have liked), and the battery pack still read 3/4 charge.

Set up is easy, charge it, plug in the jumper cables, attach it to your car battery (mine is positive terminal first, but i make no claims that yours is the same), push the power button on the pack, and start your car. Worked with no issues all 4 times.

Can charge phones/other devices, and comes with a passable flashlight built in as well, which is neat multipurposing, but not something you’d buy this for imo.

Complaints would be that the clamps are a little stiff to start, or maybe i just have weak hands.

Super useful stuff, and it’s something i’d recommend to anyone that gets stressed out by asking strangers for jumps.
