Does this product contain rice powder?

No. Not from what i’ve read on the container. It’s all natural high grade. I’ve noticed a difference in my hair, skin and nails. All positive. It’s a great product.

Is this product dairy free? I see a long list of what this product is free of, except dairy?

Yes it’s dairy free. The only ingredient is the bovine hide collagen peptide. I have a dairy allergy and take this.

Does the orgain mean organic?

In the content listing it does say organic super foods.

What method is used for the hydrolytic process; what acid or enzyes are used?

I am sorry; i don’t know what method is used for the hydrolytic process. The acids and enzymes are too many to list. Please contact orgain.com or call 1-888-881-4246. Good luck!

How many doses in a jar?

Hi peter,

one canister of our collagen peptides powder contains about 23 servings. I hope that helps!

The reviews are old. Is this because there have been no recent good reviews?.

No

How is this comparable to vital proteins, does this stir well into hot beverages? Not clump

I don’t know anything about vital proteins so cannot help you there. I love the orgrain hydrolyzed collagen. It mixes so easily with absolutely no clumping; has no odor and has no taste. I put it in my coffee but my husband puts his in a glass of tap water. We did find that it does not mix well with cold beverages but is great in hot or tap temperature.

How many grams of carbs?

There’s a nutrition facts panel in the images. Protein is not a carbohydrate. It is zero grams of carbs.

How long did it take to notice an improvement in hair and arthritis pain?

Sometimes it is hard to tell, because we don’t really notice an ‘absence of something’ when it disappears. I believe it has helped my husband with his terrible back pain (he does not walk like a marionette now) and i have noticed my nails, skin, and hair seem to be ore youthful. I was hoping for a nice thick head of hair, but hey, genetics didn’t provide it for me, but the hair is no longer weak or breaking.

Will it break my intermidiate fasting?

Hi jazzel,

thank you for your question. Orgain collagen peptides would not be ideal in between meals during intermittent fasting. The product contains 9 grams of protein and 70 calories per serving which will break a fast.

We hope this helps!

The instruction on servings is confusing. It says 1-6 servings are 5g to 30g and 1 serving is 20g?

Hi sam,

thank you for your question. Each serving (2 scoops) of orgain collagen peptides provides 20 grams of pure hydrolyzed collagen peptides, approximately 18 grams of protein, type i & iii collagen, amino acids. However, daily collagen supplementation typically varies from 5g to 30g. Hope that helps!

How many carbs /sugars in this? Total fats?

None for all

Where is the ingredients list breakdown?

I accidentally found this. On the picture of the product slide your finger to the left and you will see the full ingredients including 10g protein. Hope this helps.

Does this product have whey in it?

Whey is not listed as an ingredient on this brand of collagen peptides. Ingredients: collagen peptides (bovine) gluten free. There’s no mention of whey or any dairy products whatsoever.
I hope this helps you. The best i can do is tell you what’s on the label.

Is it certified kosher ?

Dpesn’t say it is so i assume not sonce i don’t keep kosher.

Are there sulfites in your product

Hi gayle,

thank you for your question. We do not add any sulfites to our products but there may be very small naturally occurring amounts of sulfur dioxide in collagen peptides. While there are natural occurring amounts of sulfur dioxide and because sensitivity per individual may range from mild to severe in nature, we strongly recommend speaking with your healthcare practitioner to decide whether or not orgain is right for you. We hope this information is useful!

Please reach out to us at info@orgain.com should you have any further questions.

Collagen 1 and 3 are for skin primarily correct? I’ve used other ones that have made hair so strong hair removing creams became a joke.

Which products did you try that made your hair super strong?? That’s exactly what i am looking for. I need a product to support hair growth and strength.

The best thing to come into my life

I cannot recommend this enough!

1.) the skin and nail growth are epicccc.
As someone who used to bite her nails, only grew when professionally done at the salon… And now i can grow them out, zero chemicals just collagen 2 scoops every day.

2.) hair growth… I had covid 3x and yes it unfortunately can steal your volume. As you can see photo 3… My baby hair in less than 3 months grew out. And i’m talking it was to my scalp before.

3.) zero side effects. And yes it really is flavorless. Also all the free allergies are confirmed as someone who doesn’t do well with gluten.

4.) buy it. You literally can’t miss out, truly.

5.) best deal is on amazon too!

I’m on my third bottle thus far and plan on continuing. I’m 34 and get compliments more so now on my features, thanks to orgain!!!

Love you all!!!!

Creamy, no clumping, and easy to clean up

I have been using collagen in my first morning coffee for almost 2 years. I typically use it along with butter and mct for a creamy butter coffee.

I have gone through quite a few different brands. You can argue if there is a benefit of using collagen, but even if the benefits are not as reported, i do like that my coffee is a nice and creamy. I judge the collagen first by how easy it mixes in without clumping, next, i don’t expect it to change the flavor, but as mentioned it should make the texture more creamy. Finally, some other collagen brands leave a residue in my mug that is difficult to clean.

I use a small battery powered whisk, and this orgain collagen mixes in so easy, i have not had an issue with clumping, this collagen is creamy, and has a nice texture. It does not leave any film, so my mug cleans up quick and easy whether i clean it right after i finish, or even if i wait a few hours to clean up.

I bought this on sale during prime day, it was a great deal. I would definitely buy again if the price is right.

Great supplement

Great reasonably priced collagen supplement. I have been using the product for a long time, and started to wonder if it was really doing anything for me anymore. Well, when i was without for about 3 weeks my knees started bothering me again. At first i thought it was from riding bikes while on vacation, till i realized it had to be the lack of collagen use! I won’t be without it again.

Worth a purchase

So i do not use this daily, more like 1-4 times a week. I noticed an improvement with aches going away surprisingly and also my nails growing quicker. I had no issues with the powder dissolving once stirred into whatever i was drinking. There’s no added flavor but the collagen is from bovine so i noticed a slight broth flavor in my tea. I don’t really think that can be mitigated given the source of the collagen. Overall, i like the organic ingredients and feel like it’s actually helpful. I’ll repurchase when needed.

Very good product

I have been using this for 3 months and have noticed a difference in my hair. It is thicker and has noticeably grown. It feels healthier. Will continue to order. Have tried different brands and didnt like. The super foods brand has a strong cinnamon and pumpkin taste to me. This has no taste

Great product

My main brand for collagan had been neocell. I’ve tried other brands but i’ve had really good results with neocell (better hair, skin and nails). My only issue with it is it doesn’t dissolve really well, especially in cold beverages.
I decided to try this brand. I don’t seem to have as good results as i did with neocell (better hair, skin, nails) . In that respect it’s average but it dissolves extremely well even in cold beverages.

Great alternative to pricier brands

I had used a competitor brand for several months, but it was at a price point i didn’t enjoy spending for a product i need regularly. So i tried out orgain and i’ve purchased it since. There is absolutely no difference between the orgain and pricier competitors. In terms of product effectiveness, i can say my hair and nails feel stronger when i’m using it then when i am not.

Great for strong nails

Started using this several months ago. My nails are stronger, my hair seems fuller and i don’t have the joint pain in my hips and shoulders. I strongly recommend this product!

Omg! This stuff is amazing!

So, i’ve been reading a lot about how to increase collagen and how great collagen powders can be, so i finally decided to try it. Since i haven’t had much success with products that claim to restore mature skin, etc., i ordered the cheapest but best reviewed product available on amazon! I actually wasn’t expecting much, so i wasn’t upset when i didn’t notice any changes or improvements in my skin or with the knee and back pain after 2 weeks of using this. But a month in, i just happened so glance into the mirror & was stunned to see how much younger i looked. I honestly can’t tell you what is different, but my face looks 10 years younger. In fact, i recently saw my step-daughter-in-law, and she asked me what i’d done or changed, because i “looked radiant!” i think my skin just looks tauter and more glowy. Then i realized i couldn’t remember the last time my knee and back had bothered me! That in itself was amazing, because my knee pain is excruciating and can really affect my activity level! As far as the taste, it’s slightly odd, but i found that if i mix it with a sweet drink i can’t taste it at all! And i haven’t had any problems with it dissolving, even in cold liquids! The only negative is it’s advertised and photographed as 20mg, but it’s actually 10mg. But it works, so i’m happy! So happy that this is my 2nd container. I went about 7 days without it, and my knee pain came back with a vengeance on the 7th day! I highly recommend this product!

Grass-fed•pasture-raised•not certified organic.

Update 2/19/22: this stuff is fabulous. I tried anthony’s collagen powder because it was cheaper than this brand and was disappointed. Maybe it was just the batch, but it had a “beefy” smell and slightly affected the taste of my coffee, which is how i choose to consume my collagen. The orgain collagen has always been consistent in quality when purchased from target or amazon and has always dissolved well, has little no no “beefy smell” and makes the coffee creamier without changing the flavor (i use half & half and sugar in my coffee + collagen). I recently purchased great lakes collagen and will try that once my anthony’s runs out and hopefully update again. My only issue with orgain is they recently changed the packaging. My first few containers said to use 2 scoops, and my most recent container said to use 1 scoop (the size of the scoop didn’t change), so on the nutrition label the amount of servings per container were doubled but the total volume remained the same and nutritional information adjusted accordingly. I only ever used 3/4-1 scoop per large cup of coffee anyway and had wonderful results. But i want to know why it changed. Did new product testing reveal better nutrition, so less is required for the same results? New scientific discoveries showing that less is better?
I’ll have to do some digging.

I have consumed 2 containers of this collagen and i’m working on my third. I mix 3/4 to 1 scoop in a cup of coffee in the morning plus a bit of creamer. I always have one cup of coffee but sometimes i’ll have two (so i don’t always have the complete recommended serving daily). I was worried that it would give the coffee a gross taste. The collagen does change the texture of the coffee, but not the flavor in my opinion. The collagen lends the coffee a creamier texture, and i’ve found that i actually prefer my coffee with collagen now. This being said, it may be difficult to say the same if you take your coffee black since the creamer could be helping to blend the flavors together better (?)

i have noticed a change in the thickness, durability, and growth of my fingernails before finishing the first tub. I have always had issues with my nails growing slowly and the layers of my nails at the tip chipping off, as well as my nails getting bent and torn. Since adding collagen to my diet my nails are growing quickly (i need to clip them weekly to keep them short!) and they have not been chipped or torn, despite daily gardening and outdoor work.

I have also noticed a reduction in headaches. I have gone to a chiropractor (gonstead method), which helped reduce the severity of my headaches from daily to maybe bi-weekly. Since adding collagen to my diet i have had maybe one headache that i cannot attribute to my spine misalignment or pms—which is a win for me. That being said, i have also increased my time outdoors since it is summer and have made efforts toward upping my healthy fat and protein intake which have likely not been at good levels for a long time. I seems that overall that this combination of diet changes, being outdoors, chiropractic care, and the addition of collagen has helped reduce the headaches.

Whether or not the collagen specifically was helpful in reducing headaches, or if it was primarily the other factors, i couldn’t say (i’m leaning towards it being related to the other factors), but i started supplementing collagen primarily for nail strength, which it definitely helped with!

4 stars and not 5 only because this is the first and only brand of collagen i’ve tried. Although my experience with this brand has been good enough that i have no reason to switch brands, i cannot give a full 5 stars without having other brands to use as points of reference. (note: my first two tubs were purchased from my local target and my third tub from amazon. Both stores have the same price point and, in my experience, have the same taste/texture/quality).

This collagen brand is not certified organic, so just be aware of that if that is important to you. But whether organic or not, products from grass-fed/pasture raised cattle is a must—cattle are meant to graze on grass in pastures, not corn and other agricultural commodities in feed lots. Corn is terrible for their digestive systems and causes heath problems for the cattle, which in turn affect the quality of their meat, skin and bones. The “certified organic” label can be cost prohibitive for farmers to obtain because of all the requirements (even the bedding used for the animals to poop on must be certified organic!). That being said, the fact that this collagen is made from cattle which are grass-fed & pasture-raised is more important to me than it being “certified organic,” although it would be great if this could be too. If i ever come across a certified organic, grass-fed, pasture-raised collagen powder at an affordable price point, i would definitely consider trying it. For now, this collagen powder brand hits my main concerns with the cattle it is made from being fed a diet appropriate for their digestive & overall bodily health.

Very good product and priced well

This product is tasteless and seams to be working as described. I mix with 3 oz of warm orange juice.

The change from 10g to 20g is only in the packaging…please read the nutrition label

I recently noticed the collagen changed to 20g and was like this is great, more collagen! I was wrong…the only change is with the packaging! The change is in the serving size. The old label stated 1 scoop (serving size) is 10g and the new packaging states 2 scoops (serving size) is 20g. So it’s basically the same product in different packaging. I’m pretty disappointed and feel a little deceived. Why change the packaging with different wording when there is really no change at all?

Dissolved easily, basically tasteless

It dissolved easily in my coffee and no taste that i could tell with cream in my coffee. Sadly, i had a rash to it ( my problem, not the products) so i will give it to my daughter who uses it daily.

Love my skin again!!!

I had heard a lot about collagen use but was reluctant to try it. When the skin on my hands, arms, and face started to become wrinkly, i commented to a friend jokingly that i had old lady hands already. I decided to give it a try. I was skeptical but i added it to my coffee every day. My skin has firmed up and it feels smooth and soft. I’ve been using this brand for at least 6 months now and love it.

I got it on sale

It was on sale cheaper than what i normally buy. It’s ok mixes well with my coffee no discernable taste. Product seems good but if it’s not on sale i will buy what i always buy instead of this one. Although i do get a nice reusable container with this that i don’t get with the other.

Collagen

Taste ok, but still awaiting the miracle others spoke about. I believe it is a good supplement to take, guess after a couple of bottles/containers it might work for the joints. Fingernails are a little thicker. It doesn’t work for alopecia

Would purchase again

Quality product. Used after shoulder surgery to help heal. But flavor had a strange taste, like cardboard(?) even in gatorade.

Hard to mix and tastes like meat

This is not exactly flavorless. It taste like beef broth. One scoop is doable but two scoops at a time is just horrible. So i would suggest do one at a time. I mix with almond milk to minimize the meat taste but it stays kind of chunky. When i try to use a fork to to try to mix better, it becomes frothy which i don’t like, even with water. And even then the chunks are still there. I haven’t been using it long enough or consistently enough to see results yet. I have been using for 2 weeks or so but not every day.
