How long does the ink cartidges last?

Hi, i just purchased a new hp copier to copy my coloring books so i can keep coloring my favorite pictures. I have been copying dogs and cats and peacocks. Any way it works great but since it’s my first printer i’ve had i decided to check. I copied 30 pages from the books and it was flashing check ink. I did and i shook it and tapped it and put it back in. So far i’ve copied 3 more pages but don’t know how many more it will print. I hope this helps a little. Oh yes they cost about $15. Each

I feel sure you can. I did this in our old hp printer. You can’t align the two cartridges but after that process fails, you just use the black. You can either remove or just leave the color cartridge based on my experience.

Ok take a deep breath.. Are the ones that u r trying to replace the correct ones hp63s?? If they are the correct ones then u are not putting them into the snap close ink holders. I guess this is the problem, then try different positions with the new cartridges into the cartridge holders,i am certain u will be successful.. Have a blessed day

I printed with this cartridge about 50 pages of text. I always put not high quality for printing settings – to not use a lot of cartridge paint.
And now it already can’t print!! Just 50 pages last..

Hp ink is the best.would purchase xl size more often but budget won’t allow for it. The regular size, not xl, does not last very long.
As a writer i do quite a bit of printing. But hp (regular size) is better for a tight budget

Prints well, good quality. Only gave 4 stars overall because the price is high in my opinion, especially for its average longevity. But the price is no higher than anyplace else offering the same product, so i buy it just the same.

Second one bad!

Purchased two cartridges. The first one worked perfectly fine. That is why i gave a 4 star rating. The second cartridge my printer would not accept. Stating that there was something wrong with the cartridge. I had my daughter try to install and the same thing happened. I went out an purchased a new cartridge and my printer is working perfectly. The second cartridge looked the same but would not work in my hp envoy printer.
