I love garlic- i’m definitely not a vampire! But i hate garlic presses. Whenever i use one the garlic seems to get stuck, they’re hard to clean, i just gave up using them. I don’t mind chopping garlic occasionally, but it’s a bit of a pain. I saw this and thought, it’s worth a try and if nothing else at least it’s cute. But it works wonderfully! It crushes the garlic into a nice mince and is super easy to clean. I love gracula!

I’ve had this product for two years now. It has held up so well. I see people mentioning it doesn’t mince— no it does not hence “garlic crusher.” however, it does a nice job of crushing it into decently small pieces. I’ve never noticed chunks of garlic in my food so that’s a win. The actual grinder is plastic as well.

What i usually do is cut the clove into two pieces to make the job easier and quicker, which i think aids in having smaller pieces. I’m not a fan of mincing garlic the usually way so this product is perfect for me, but i’d probably still use it regardless! I have used it with ginger. I don’t think it works as well considering ginger is a hard root.

It’s very easy to clean. I only hand wash considering it takes like 10 seconds to do so and i use it frequently. Someone mentioned the head can become water logged. It can but i wouldn’t submerge anything over the grinder portion in water because there is no need to. There bottom piece is actually two pieces. If anything gets stuck the parts are easy to come off and attach back on.

Durable and easy to use. Also very cute and fun in the kitchen.

This is adorable, so 5 stars just for that. It works pretty well, but it’s a little hard to get all of the garlic out of it. I use a fork so i can get all of the garlicky goodness out.

I personally don’t need something to help me crush up garlic. I just couldn’t pass up a cute vampire that will pulverize it’s nemesis.

My kids love this product. They were so excited to give it to their mom for her birthday. It’s nice to have items that they can help with in the kitchen. It is both cute and equally functionable.

Easy to use and easy to clean up

I have used this for garlic, onion and fresh herbs. Works great and looks cute on my window sill.

I love this product. Super easy to use to get a crushed garlic. Perfect for sauces or marinades. It’s not minced garlic so make sure you’re ok with crushed. It’s a breeze to clean but most important… It’s so cute.

This is cute and pretty easy to use. I do have two complaints–it’s hard to get the garlic out once crushed. I have to use my finger and a knife (yikes not safe) to get the garlic out of all the grooves. It’s still a time saver though. Also, don’t put this in the dishwasher. Water got into the top ‘head’ and when you shake it, you can hear the water sloshing around. Seems like a great way to get mold growth. Eek.

Works well, a little hard to clean. Make sure you wash it after you use it. You also wouldn’t want to use it for big batches.

This little guy is adorable and looks great perched on a ledge in the kitchen. He’d make an excellent gift. With that said, his capability as a garlic press is a little limited. I find myself starting to reach for him, then picking up my paring knife instead. Maybe i’m just old school 🙂

This little guy is absolutely adorable. He attacks garlic with no fear and quickly grates it to bits. Then, you get the fun job of trying to fish out all the garlic. All it needed was a little piece to come up and clean the spikes, then it would have been just about perfect.

I got recommended this little guy when looking for a garlic press. He shreds garlic into pieces but he isn’t quite what i was looking for. If you want bigger chunks, then great! Gracula is perfect for you.

Gracula is molded to look like a lovable vampire that lives on your kitchen counter until his skills are needed. When you have some garlic cloves that need to be made smaller gracula leaps into action!

Pull off his head from his body to reveal a series of plastic slicing and crushing nubs. Simply place your garlic cloves inside, put his back on and then twist both pieces round and round, back and forth a few times. Remove his head and voila, your garlic is now magically smaller!

This is a fun tool that definitely places form over function, as you’ll likely have to scrape out the last few garlic pieces with your finger, and he isn’t dishwasher safe so you’ll want to wash by hand… But if you don’t need fancy, constant, high-volume garlic crushing ability then you may find this quirky item to be a better addition to your kitchen than a boring, more functional design.

The packaging is also amusing and this would make a great gift idea.

Love this; but unfortunately gracula’s head collects water when put j in the dishwasher. Requiring a small pin holes drilled in the eyes to release the water to avoid mold inside
