Yes, and that’s yet another thing i love about this camera. There’s a ‘switch’ in the app under ‘audio options’ that allows you to turn off the audible alarm. The explanation says ‘after alarm siren is turned on, the camera will automatically sound an alert when the motion sensor is triggered. When you turn it on, it warns you ‘when motion is detected, the camera will automatically sound an alarm (this feature us not recommended for indoor use)’. I leave mine off.

As far as the floodlight, this model does not come with a light. The front of this camera has a little round bump area below the lens, and that’s for the pir (passive infra red) sensor. The floodlight models have a flat, smooth front in that area and are about ten bucks more (at this time). This model sees in the dark very well though, and i prefer this non-light one to the light models that alert anyone to the fact that they’re being recorded. I figure there’s a better chance my camera won’t disappear, too.

You can turn it off at the device, but not remotely. But when the camera’s not being used, it goes into ‘power saving mode’. When you’re viewing it or it’s recording something it spotted, the status changes to ‘online’. If it stayed in power saving mode it would last a long, long time. I have other similar type cameras of different brands, and the dzees camera lasts at least as long as all the others battery-wise, but is head and shoulders above the rest for other things like the free 7 days of storage, picture quality, app options, and app layout. This is by far my favorite camera.

You can absolutely turn off motion detection for each camera, as well as adjust it to high, medium, or low. I own the camera, and i’m looking at the settings now. From the individual camera’s home screen, click on motion detection, then when you get to the new screen, select the motion detection slider switch and move it to off (to the left). That will turn off motion detection completely. Hope this helps.

Yes, the red ir lights are very visible when on in the dark.

There is no light upon approach, but when you get up to it (as to the door, etc.) a spotlight comes on. Love it as i work nights and when i get up to the door the light comes on and i can see to put my key in the door. I’m really pleased with my purchase!

I have not had to charge my camera in 2 months with the solar panel and still haven’t charged it yet. The one without the solar panel it requires you to charge it at least about 3 to 4 weeks depending upon how much motion so i’m going to purchase a solar panel for that one it’s a hassel to take it down for me.

Mine is outside, about 45 feet from my router, which is inside my living room in the middle of my house. Several walls, including one cement block wall separate the router from the camera, and i still get two out of three bars. My router is an [[asin:b0752fd3xj asus ac2900]]. If you have a good router and fewer obstructions, i would bet you could easily go twice that distance. Hope this helps!
