Where is the on/off switch located? Back or side?
The switch is on the back, so if you hang it up you do need to take it down to turn on/off. It’s not that much of a hassle though.

I ordered a letter a and yes it was ‘free standing’.
Would it be possible to hard wire these to have on a switch as a more permanent decoration?
I am no electrician! This letter is battery operated. Highly unlikely it can be hardwired.
Why is there no b or y?

I wouldn’t put it outdoors for a long period of time. It might work for use as an outdoor party decoration for a short period of time.

Silly question i’m not seeing the zero does the letter o look exactly the same?
I saw the number zero on there it’s more close to the right. Keep scrolling until you see all the numbers and the & sign. But to answer you question i would use it if that was my only option.
Are these big enough to set on the floor for a party or to small and should be placed on a table? Thanks for help!
I guess it depends on what you want it to look like they are rather small for the floor, personally i’d hang them on a wall or place on a table. Just be aware if you hang them, you must take them each off the wall to turn off and on which is why i returned mine even though they are cute.

It was for my granddaughter’s dorm. It is battery operated and can always replace them. She has had no problem with it.

I don’t think so, the material is plastic but it looks very cheap.
