So my office recently went back in person for 5 days, post covid. While that is pretty good, while working from home, i always calendared about 5 min ever hour to get up and walk or mini workouts. I always had a set of weights sitting next to my desk to do some quick arm work outs. I don’t want to take my home weights to work so i purchased a 3 pound set, which is perfect for me for a few minutes while on the phone or to just take a break. These work great for my use. The weight is balanced and they are comfortable to hold. Nothing fancy but a great tool for me, especially at the price.

I needed 2 lb weights for physical therapy for shoulder impingement and these worked perfectly. I had previously purchased another pair elsewhere that were thicker in the handle part and difficult to hold with my arthritic hands.

These weights are very comfortable to hold and helped me in my recovery when using them for the physical therapy exercises. Glad i purchased them, i’ve had no problems with them at all and the grip is just right in terms of thickness and material.

The dumbbells arrived on time & w/out issue. There were no noticeable defects or damage to the neoprene coating. The coating does have a comfortable nonslip texture. I have smaller hands and have no issues hanging onto them.

The neoprene covering seems thicker than a different brand i own, and i love that! Easy to grip, comfortable to hold onto, and they weighed in at exactly 6 lbs. (my method wasn’t super scientific, but i weighed myself, and then weighed myself two more times holding each weight separately.) there *is* a thicker ridge of neoprene running down one side of each, but i think that’s typical. I don’t like how it feels in my palm, so i just rotate the weights until that part is at the end of my fingers. Another reviewer said metal protruded through the neoprene and cut them…no sharpness on mine, but there are a few ‘bubbles’ in the coating. I pressed on them to make sure it wasn’t sharp underneath and i can’t feel anything, but time will tell if the coating wears thin in those spots. Overall, i think this is a great set of weights! I’ve looked everywhere for a set of 6 lb dumbbells with neoprene, and it was a serious struggle in stores. They were either a hideous color (target, what is up with that yellow-green shade?), or dirty looking (target, again), or didn’t have the coating (and my arthritis demands the neoprene). So happy i found these and bought them!!

I bought these for boxing workouts. Before i put gloves on, i use these to shadow box. Easy to hold. Will not roll away.

3 pounds is about perfect for strengthening arms while confined to bed.

I got injuries by a car accident and i needed something light to start with. I went to a sport store, but it was very expensive there. I am so glad that i was able to find these. It was about a half price here!

They are good for for older people and kids if you need them.they are kind of cheap, but work good.

Due to a long term shingles infection, i have lost a lot of weight and a lot of muscle tone. These weights will, i hope, help me start to firm up my arm muscles. I wanted two-pounders but couldn’t find any that would ship for free and i won’t pay more for shipping than the cost of the item.

This dumbbell fits my small hands, which i think are average for a man, but i’m not sure if it will fit someone with large to extra-large hands. The hand space is roughly 3 1/4′ so check your grip before buying.

They look good and there’s only a few ounce difference between the two.

Handgrip is short – only good for small female hands. Fortunately that’s me. Could be another 1/2” to 1” longer to fit more people.

I ordered these 8-pound weights from portzon because the last weights i ordered from them were really well-made and attractive. The new weights have a much thinner layer of neoprene so the color is not consistent but more importantly, a few of the corners have not been thoroughly sealed, and there are very small exposed areas of metal. I live near the ocean and hope rust won’t become a problem in the future.
