Is it pate?
The chicken variety pack is not all pate. The grilled & roasted are not same consistency as pate. I found out the hard way, when my cat will not touch the grilled or roasted.
Why do they put cows milk in food for cats when cats generally are lactose intolerant?
It is a very small amount and from my reading, processed to make it more digestible. My kitten has done very well on it. She is now 8 months and i intend to keep her on it till 12 months. The gourmet naturals line for kittens uses coconut milk instead and is of a better quality… But i’ve done some research… And in general this is recommended by most cat food sites as a good budget alternative to the really expensive stuff.

Turkey & giblets classic pate can says 96kcal per can. Says to feed 1 can per 3-3 1/2 per pounds a day.
Has anyone tried this for adult cats?
No. I don’t know if you should give it to an adult cat. Faculty feast dikes have food for adult cats though and that is what i give my boys. They have a lot of variety and my boys love it.

The expiration date of a can bought now is mid-2017. The precise ‘use before’ date is shown on the bottom of the can.

Can 24 cans feed an 8 week old for about a whole month? Or more needed? With free feeding dry kitten food?
You will need more. At that age, he or she should be eating about 4 oz. Per day. These cans have 3 oz. Per can. This is with free feed dry. At this age he/she will not have all the teeth needed to eat the dry. As the teeth grow in, if the kitten prefers dry, he or she will eat more of it and then may not want as much wet food. This happened with one of my personal kittens; now she rarely eats canned though i offer it (the vet wants her on canned). Most of my foster kittens prefer canned and want more as they get larger. Also, if you are able to – feed the canned in 4 meals scheduled throughout the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper) – their stomachs are very small and this should prevent distention from overeating. By similar products do you mean similar classic pâté products from the same brand or other brands?! If with same brand which i do for my babies you can get any of the classic pâté’s .. They have almost same nutritional composition & analysis. One of my fur baby is diabetic i give him mostly the chicken pate, sometimes the turkey-giblets, liver-beef pates. Tried other brand they didn’t like those.

Don’t know how much my cat weighs, how many cans to feed average sized cat per day?
My cats appetites seem to depend on how active they are: the two middle-sized girls stay outside from 6am until 6pm every day, and eat all of their canned food. The youngest and smallest cat stays in the house most of the time. She eats about half of what the active girls eat. The largest cat – an elderly gentleman – spends most of his day sleeping on the deck. He eats 1/4 of what the active girls eat.
I’d give them all dry – as much as they want. Purina one for indoor cats (or something similar) and canned food. 3 tablespoons for the very active girls, 2 tablespoon for the youngest and smallest, and 1 tablespoon for the patriarch.
Make sure they always have a bowl of clean fresh water nearby, inside the house and out.
I change food bowls daily and water bowls every few days. I also use ceramic or stainless steel bowls. (plastic bowls can get scratches on the surface that harbors bacteria.) i clean them with baking soda and hot water or put them in the dishwasher. Cats are really sensitive to chemicals. Soap residue, scented cat litter, air fresheners, bug sprays, etc. Can make them sick.

‘what’s in the box: twenty-four (24) 5.5 oz. Pull-top cans – purina mighty dog small breed wet dog food, hearty beef dinner’ – really?!?
The cans are 3 ounces, not 5.5 ounces. What ordered were a mix of 8 beef, 8 chicken and 8 turkey. You can get a box of 24 beef only. But they are the small 3 ounce cans.

Why the big price jump in fancy feast pate cans in mid-2019? Normally in the $13 range, it has jumped up to the $15 range!
Not sure why this is, i guess the seller would have to answer that…but if you go to chewy they have tiny tiger case of 24 for 12.99.
I adopted a two year old cat from a shelter in northern michigan. As soon as we got her home i fed her some of the purina fancy feast, because my daughter highly recommended it. She loves it! She cleans up her plate every time and i think she would eat more if i gave it to her. I love the size of the little cans because they are just the right size for splitting in half and giving her dry food as well. I hope purina does not change this recipe and force me to buy the higher priced cans. Thank you purina!

3 kitties, each 1 has a different favorite!
My indoor kitty snuck out recently and made 2 new friends. They are 2 feral male cats that stay in the back yard. They’ve been my sweet companions throughout the pandemic and working from home for over a year. I split a can between the 3 of them and give this to them as a special treat! They each have a different favorite, so it’s nice to alternate. It’s pretty pricey, but not nearly as expensive as it is in the grocery store. And it’s convenient on subscribe & save. I’ve noticed all 3 kitties seem to look healthier and their fur is softer. I think fancy feast is the reason why. I hope this is always available because my kitties love this canned food!

It’s okay.
My little princess devoured this can in unladylike civility, her etiquette seems to slip whenever i open up this paltry can. Her vocal seems to surpass my other troubadour who absolutely lack elegance. I keep worrying she’ll become vulgar. I would recommend it to picky mouths.

I purchased this for my inside cat/baby girl, smokie. She seemed to like the taste. Unfortunately after purchasing this for her she passed away but at the end i had a hard time getting her to eat, however she did seem to enjoy the ‘turkey and giblets’ flavor over the other 2 flavors.

I usually get the seafood fancy feast pate. I got this poultry one to change it up. My cat was not interested in the turkey and giblets, so i tried it to see why he wasn’t eating it when he was crying for wet food all day until it arrived. It didnt taste very good. It was a bit of a weird texture and the flavor was off, i can see why he wasn’t crazy about it.
