Purina FortiFlora Probiotics for Dogs, Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements Powder Probiotic Dog Supplement – 30 ct. box

We purchased these from recommendation of our local vet once our german shepherd started having monthly bouts of irritable bowel and blood diarrhea. We just add a packet to her food every other week or weekly if she starts having bowel issues and things clear up quickly. Our dog loves the taste and will quickly devour any food we add this to. The powder inside each packet is brown and has a slight smell but nothing that would be a problem. I was kicking myself at the cost of buying such a small box with little packets of ‘dust’ but they have made a huge difference in our dog and much cheaper that regular visits to the vet. If you give your dog one per week, you can do the math in how many months one box will last and in the end, the cost isn’t bad at all. I would recommend these without reservation if your pup is having gi issues!

We had a bichon frisé mix (called angel) for 14 years, and i wish we’d known about this sooner. She had ibs, and frequently we would wake up to a brown dog. Vomiting would often accompany the diarrhea. During the last few years of her life, we started using this at the recommendation of our vet. The ibs attacks became less frequent and it was amazing. Now we have a golden doodle (steffie- 7yo) who had to have a tooth removed, and a cyst taken off her back. About a week after surgery she started having watery bright orange diarrhea. We think it had something to do with the antibiotics. A combination of bland human food and this stuff has been helpful, and it is noticeable when someone forgets to give her the fortiflora.
The powder we’ve always received has been brown with white specs. It smells like meat, which is good, and if your dog is skeptical at first, they usually warm up to it quickly. We’ve put it on top of scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, plain unflavored yogurt, and regular unspiced canned pumpkin with great success. I do wish it were cheaper, but what can you do.

Our 6 year old doberman has had a rotten gut for years. His farts were absolutely putrid. We tried changing his food, getting him a slow feeder bowl, anything we could think of to reduce his gas. We finally asked our vet about it when we took him in for his annual checkup, and the vet recommended a probiotic.

It’s been a total game-changer! Not only is he less gassy, but he even looks less bloated. I couldn’t believe how effective it was. He seems to be feeling so much better. I wish i’d known about these probiotics sooner.

I adopted my dog at three and he had eating issues. I don’t know if it was digestive or just anxiety but i started adding this probiotic and his appetite seemed to improve and the form of his poops improved as well. He is 10lbs and i give half a pack about every other day.

I use it for my dogs to boost their immune and digestive system. I like that there are individual measured packets. Only problem is, it is rather costly. I give them less than prescribed to extend the amount per box.

Recommended by vet a prescribed product. Checked ingredients and the same with this product on amazon. Great improvement on hard or loose dog stools, that can be side effect of some nsaid or other pet medications. Just sprinkle in food bowl. We use daily in am.

My dogs love the taste, and it works wonders on the intestinal tracts of dogs large and small. I’ve used it for my dachshund, great dane mix, and a shih tzu i boarded. I just wish it came in human form!

A very good product. I prefer the powdered version and it is not always visible on the website. It takes a bit of perusal to find both.

The grand dog was having weak stool issues and lack of control. Just a couple days later he’s back to normal. Always consult your vet – we knew he needed the boost of probiotics vs infestation of parasites. Or other issues.

Do yourself a favor and just get it. Our lab was having very soft stool for months. Started adding this to her food and within 2 weeks she was having normal formed bowel movements.

We got a new rescue dog and on night 2 she started having uncontrolled bowel movements. She had seemed comfortable before that so we didn’t think it was nerves. Luckily we already had a vet check scheduled and they found she had 0 bacteria in her bowels. No good, no bad. (which is a bad thing) and they said get this.

Within 12 hours of putting this on her food things were at least starting to solidify and she wasn’t going every 30 minutes. We’ve been using it since because it doesn’t hurt to keep both our pups stomachs healthy.

My main issue is i wish they had a bigger (and therefor cheaper per oz) container you could just measure with a teaspoon. Buying by the box with individual packets is annoying (and very wasteful from a environmental perspective). That’s our only gripe though. It makes the dogs go crazy for their food as well.

At a certain point, it doesn’t matter how much the product was if it works! I had tried everything to help my dog with the diarrhea after she had 11 puppies, and nothing would help. I was beginning to get concerned she would be dehydrated, and within two days of using this with a raw meat diet and pumpkin, she was feeling like her old self again! To say i did not sleep because i was up every 15 minutes letting her outside to go potty is an understatement, and i would pay $30 any day for her to feel better, but $30 for me to sleep is amazing!

This item vet prescribed and has helped my dog’s digestion, less runny poop. The best part is i can get this delivered monthly. Saves me a trip to my vet.

Adding this to dog’s diet made a big difference for the pooch and how easily she digested food. Great product.

Multiple dog household, tablets arent so tasty as i would have hoped but crushing and adding to food is easy and cheaper than the enveloped version

Since taking this product, my dog has had no stomach or digestive issues. One a day and he is like a normal dog.

My dogs love this stuff but i find the amount in each packet is very inconsistent. Sometimes there is a lot, domes a decent amount and sometimes it seems there is hardly anything in it. I really wish they would remedy that issue.
