Rain-X 5079281-2 Latitude 2-IN-1 Water Repellency Wiper Blades, 26′ (Pack of 1)

First things first, installation of this on a toyota corolla 2016 was extremely easy. I basically unclip old windshield wiper and mounted and clip the one. Followed the instructions to clean the windshield thoroughly and let the wipers run at medium speed for 3 minutes whitout water. Easy peasy.

The same day i installed them, they were tested against a huge storm on the road while going at 80 km/h. I have to say i was shocked to see how effectively these things moved the water away from the windshield and how clear it left it thanks to its water repellent technology.

Before installing them, rain was a huge issue for me due to not being able to see clearly even though the previous windshield wipers were at full speed. Now, i can confidently drive in pouring rain thanks to rain x latitude.

I love that amazon sells a pack of wipers that are exactly what i need for my car and even confirm i have the right wipers before i bought them. They come in a nice compact package without too much excess packaging. Finally, i love the rainx wipers as they are really easy to install and replace, stay in place well, and are great wipers. I like how they put rainx on the windows so the rain beads up well, and then the wipers do a good job clearing the windows. I have used this wipers for a while and keep coming back for replacements when i need them.

I got the opened package for my 2014 elantra, it does a excellent job so far.

It doesn’t cause smear left over after wipe.
The price is little steep for brand new one, however, i think it is great wiper. This one can easily last one year. Now, my car is ready for raining season, even though it down rain much in california.

This was delivered on time and the installation was very straigh forward. It did come with several adapters for different applications but mine was the standard j hook design so very easy to install. I did notice that it makes a bit of a squeal noise but i am assuming that is because its new.

This model of the windshield wipers was so easy to install and my guesses when it’s time to switch them out, it’ll be a breeze! Got a set for my vehicle and a fm and was able to switch the old to the new in under 2 mins. Took longer getting the old ones off. Plus i didn’t have to go to an auto store. Had it delivered in 2 business days (:

I tried some other cheaper brands with good reviews that supposedly were compatible with my 2016 ford escape…. The install hassles we’re a pain, mostly because of confusing ‘remove this add this do this” mounting arm instructions. Rain-x is a whole different ballgame- simply remove in order some pieces until it’s right. Much appreciated! Wipers live up to the name too!

These wipers were a good buy! Very easy to install (directions included), and they work so well! No noise at all! I definitely recommend them! I did not rate longevity because i’ve only had the wipers for a few weeks.

I priced the same blades at the big “n” auto supply store for twice the price i paid for these.. Put them on before heading out on vacation and it of course rains for several days.. Works great.

I like the ease of installation and longevity. My current set is nearing the five year mark and i will have to replace them before state inspection.

Very easy installation, did some quick research on best wipers and these came up, bought a competitors brand last year for 2 vehicles and paid more than i did for 3 vehicles this year. Very pleased so far.

The 5079279-2 and 5079278-2 wipers, though the right length, do not fit the 2018 mini countryman (and other years i am not certain about), even though amazon confirms compatibility as does the rain-x web site. I called them once i received, and after a bit of time to make the case, they realized and admitted that these do not fit this type of wiper arm, and they confirmed that they do not make wiper for this tyoe of arm. I hope that they eventually update their web site and those of their retailers, but noting here to save others the time and hassle. I am returning this back to the amazon supplier.

Purchased 21′ recommended for my vehicle. Easy to install- followed directions and it did what it was supposed to do. I used it for an 08 jeep patriot. The passenger side wiper does not conform completely to the window. I tried to bend the tip (3inches) for a better arc, but it didn’t work. When the windshield wiper is on there is 2-3 inches that don’t get wiped until the wiper reaches the 2oclock position. The driver’s side wiper was better, but also had a point that didn’t touch the glass leaving me with about 1/2′ (at 1 o’clock position) that it didn’t wipe. If the wiper isn’t tight to the window, i wonder how well it will do when i’m driving and bugs get smacked on the windsheild….

They work just fine. Vehicle is a 2019 ram. Same size for pax and driver. Easy enough to install. But the large, ridiculous size of the part where the j-hook clicks in is just bonkers. I won’t buy them again, just because it looks so stupid.

Update: it finally rained here in upstate ny, and the blades worked flawlessly. Very happy with the purchase.

Original: haven’t had a chance to use these wipers in the rain, but the install went very well on my bmw. Directions were comprehensive and had specific directions for my style wiper arms. Will update with other insights in a few weeks if i drive in the rain by then.

I ordered this for my nissan rogue, and it fits kinda, but not really well. The j-hook doesn’t lock in exactly right, so it tends to slide off, which is only really annoying when trying to scrape ice. Every time i lift the arm, the stupid thing falls off. One time, we were heading down the road in a heavy rain storm, and the thing flew off the windshield altogether! But i was able to recover it and put it back on, and it’s still going strong. It’s an excellent blade, in terms of wiping the glass, and obviously scores high in the durability category. I will probably buy the same brand again. Maybe i’ll just pick up a few zip ties to go with it…

I have bought them twice now once at a auto place and once on here in less than 3 months have broken in same spot on driver blade. Waste of money

Wiper blade is exactly as you expect. Good contact with wind shield and very effective. But its not idiot proof (me). I misunderstood ‘2 in 1’ for it to contain ‘2’ blades in ‘1’ package. So what i thought was a good price was actually somewhat expensive.

I cannot rate the longevity since i have only had them a couple of weeks. The set makes about half the noise my previous set made. Also, the wipes are clean and solid–no streaks or trailers! I suppose i could have gotten wipers that made no noise, but they would have cost me twice what this set did.

I’ve used these for years on other cars and really likes them. But for some reason there is a lot vibration and noise when installed on my 2021 tacoma. I thought it was a defective blade, bought another one, and had the same problem. I ended up having to purchase one direct from toyota and that seemed to work.
